Relentless Qualm
In a land where I could cry,
Where wonder would be silenced,
Last night I cried myself to numb.
I was so morose I couldn't weep,
I was so worn I couldn't sleep.
All I could do was blanky stare
At the digit's bright red blare.
I curled in upon my thrumming chest
Where the void kept me from rest
And all I felt was overwhelm
At my mind's relentless qualm.
Empty is all I have become,
And in the dark I came undone.
