Harper POV

Harper shook in the cell. She didn't want to be hurt, or want Brittany hurt as the pair huddled together. The room was dark, and she could barely see Vicious digging into a large box.

He had something hidden behind his back when he turned for the humans, and they pressed back into a wall, running to the other when the reptile got too close.

Harper's chest hurt, and the next time they tried to run to a different corner, she stumbled, and went down. Brittany tried to get her up, but Vicious was on her. He picked her up, and carried her to the opposite side of the room.

Then she saw what he was hiding and screamed.

Zlelzon POV

The date was set. He, Vor and Brilza, along with many other officers would rush the resort, and rescue as many humans while arresting the guilty reptilians. Zlelzon just had to wait. But waiting was the hard part.

His molting had only gotten worse, his skin now red from where he'd scratched himself raw. And he couldn't stop his nervous pacing.

Fluffy had refused to eat, even his slight excitement at seeing Vor again had dimmed.

Only Brilza looked calm, and that was because she was busy planning. She was worried about all the humans, and her precious Fluffikins.

Harper POV

The door burst open at her scream. She expected Blue, she saw Oatmeal. He was dressed in some kind of padded vest with a helmet with something pointed at Vicious. Behind him, people were running, screaming, hissing. She could even hear humans crying.

Harper couldn't understand. Was she being rescued? Where was Blue?

Oatmeal shouted something to Vicious, but he let out a hissing laugh before hitting the human over the head. Everything went black.

Zlelzon POV-

The cars had taken them across the desert to a normal looking resort with reptilians and toadians lounging, and humans scurrying around. It had been cute at first, the humans in little uniforms, but then he realized how dirty and skinny they all appeared. It made everyone angry.

It was a flurry of movement, the officers arresting people. And gathering frightened humans who didn't realize these reptilians were here to help them.

One male with dark hair ran right to him, the cute little name tag said Bruno, and Zlelzon couldn't help but coo. He grabbed the scales hand and pulled forward. He followed the human and he led them to an out of the way door.

"Vor." I yelled, hearing a human's scream from inside. Zlelzon grabbed the human and made sure he was safe before Vor rushed the door, trained to knock it down quickly.

Heart sinking as loud sounds were heard inside, they ventured in. The reptilian was on the ground, no longer a threat. A human was pressed into the wall, crying and wrapped into themselves. Bruno struggled to get down, and ran to that human.

Heart truly hurting, the blue reptilian turned to see a human that looked nearly the same as the first day of he'd her. She was covered in all kinds of things, in torn clothes, covered in bruises. Only this time, she wasn't looking up with large pleading eyes.

Were they too late?

"Pipes," he whimpered as he picked her up, she sagged against the large chest.

*Hope you liked and enjoyed. These three chapters were hard to write given all the abuse scenes. I hope they came out well.
