{Amber's POV}
From then until a few months later, I did nothing. I only ate once a week. But that changed when I found out what I could do with my "claw" eye. I started being able to control its movements, and slashed into the air until I accidentally ripped a portal.
"Wha....?"
I decided to jump in. I was greeted by gunfire and yelling.
"H-hay! Anyone!" I tried to scream to someone.
I gave up and ran around to look for some water. I lapped up the liquid but quickly spit it out. It tasted like smoke and gunpowder.
"Grows!" I spat to myself.
I splashed in the water playfully for an hour. Then the war calmed down. Crunch. Steps! I hurriedly hopped out of the water and onto a bridge.
"What's a cat doing here?" A voice asked, but they looked at my good eye.
I turned and saw them flinch. "I know, I know. It's my eye."
This person's eyes widened with curiosity. I sat down and began licking the water off my pelt.
"Y-yea... That e-eye...... Who are you?"
I narrowed my eye and stared strait at them.
"Whoooo wants to know?" I retorted.
"Uck," they said. "Well, I'm Scout."
Scout? I thought. Why does that sound familiar....
"Okay. I'm Amber," I said, but this time in a friendly voice.
"Heh, Amber. Nice."
I got up and ran away before he got to finish.
