Your POV

"Thanks for coming over, Louise."

"It's fine, darling. Anything for you. And anything for S/N to become official." (I'm hoping you know S/N = Ship name. If you didn't, now you do)

I laugh. "It's just a date, Lou. It might not happen."

She frowns. "If it doesn't, oh damn, you and Daniel are in trouble, miss."

I roll my eyes. "It won't be the end of the world."

"Yes, it will! You and Dan were made for each other! And it's not my opinion, it's a fact. The way he looks at you is gorgeous. Everyone notices it. His eyes sparkle and turn into a warmer colour than usual, his smile glows, his dimples deepen. And then there's you. You literally turn into the sun when you look at him. It's adorable." I blush.

"Really?"

"Really! Now lets find you something that really brings out the sun." She looks through a bunch of dresses she had bought before she came over.

"Oh my, they're all so fancy. Where am I going?"

"That is for you to find out," she smirks and winks. I groan.

"I don't want to wear a dress. Especially a fancy one."

"Well, too bad. Now, lets get you ready." I groan again and drop to the floor.

~Time skip~

"Lou, I think this might be the one," I yell out, twirling in the mirror once more. I've gone for the outfit of choice (above) and, I must admit, it looks pretty damn nice.

I hear her squeal. "Come out! Show me!" I walk out of the bathroom and back into my bedroom. I pull a stupid pose and watch as Louise absolutely loses her shit. "Oh my God! Y/N, you look amazing! Damn, if I were a man, I'd put a ring on your finger straight away."

I roll my eyes. "Thanks, Lou."

"Now, time to do your hair and makeup," she beams and excitedly claps her hands.

~Time skip~

I look at myself in the mirror. Normally I'll just tell myself that no matter what, I look ugly, but tonight I feel confident with how I look.

I walk out to Louise who is still jumping around. "Y/N, you look amazing! Oh my God, don't tell me you aren't thinking of sleeping with yourself right now, because who wouldn't be thinking that if they looked as good as you." I laugh at her reaction and rush over to hug her, which is kind of hard in heels.

"Thank you, Lou."

"No problem, hun," she says as she returns the hug. It's then we hear a knock and start screaming. "Oh my God, HE'S HERE! I'll get the door."

"I'll get my purse!" I call back. Louise stops in her tracks.

"Did you really just say that?" I nod. "Hun, you are not taking that purse. When someone asks you on a date, it means that they're willing to buy you anything you wish."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Not really. But Dan told me he's paying for the whole thing."

"I'll just get my phone then."

"Good."

I start the search for my phone. I hear Louise chatting to Dan at the front door and begin to feel butterflies.

I'm about to go on a date with Daniel James Howell. The guy I've fantasi- I mean, dreamed of being with since day one. Well, maybe not day one, but- whatever.

I eventually find my phone and begin to slowly walk down the stairs, not wanting to break my ankles in these heels and having a date with Dan at the hospital.

I get to the last flight of stairs and, behind Louise, I see him. His eyes meet mine and his jaw drops. His eyes do that thing Louise said when he looks at me, making the butterflies flutter harder.

"Oh, um, Y/N. Hi. Um- oh God. I feel like a fangirl. Or, fanboy. Uhh, you look absolutely amazing."

I smile back at him. "Thanks, Dan. Not too bad yourself." I grin at his adorable suit and fake leather tie.

"Uh, thanks. You too." I laugh at him and he face palms. "I can't believe you agreed to go on a date with such an awkward loser."

"Oh well. At least he's a cute awkward loser."

"Okay, I think you two need to get going. Then you can flirt as much as you want," Louise cuts in. I laugh and give Louise one more hug.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome, hun. Now go. Get out of here."

I giggle and walk over to Dan. We link arms and walk down more stairs.

Once we walk out of the complex we hop into a taxi that was already waiting for us. "Cover your ears."

"Why?"

"Because the surprise will be ruined if you don't," he grins. I roll my eyes and cover my ears until Dan gives me a thumbs up.

The whole drive is spent on our phones. We're very social people.

The taxi comes to a halt outside a resturaunt. We hop out and Dan pays the taxi. I stare at the building in front of me. It seems very familiar. Dan walks over and stands next to me.

"What's wrong? Don't you like it."

"I'm just trying to figure out why it seems so familiar- OH MY GOD!" I look at him in amazement. "Are you serious?"

He nods his head. "For our first official date I wanted to take you to the place I first set eyes on you." I stand speechless for a minute then embrace him.

"You're so romantic, Howell."

He laughs. "Say all the ladies. I'm kidding, just you," he pouts. I poke his cheeks.

"Let's go in, shall we." Dan takes my hand and pulls me in. Dan suddenly leans down and puts his lips to my ear.

"Just don't mention anything about threesomes, or any 'some'." I giggle and nod. "Reservation for 'Howell'." Dan asks the woman behind the counter. She nods and points us in the direction of our table.

We get to our table and sit down. I look around the resturaunt. It is almost exactly the same as the first time I came here. Only, I don't need a table of amazing Youtube dorks to keep me entertained. I only need one of the amazing Youtube dorks. And that is Dan.

I look back at Dan. Damn, Louise was right. He has that sparkle and warmth in his eyes, his smile glows and his dimples are deeper than usual.

"Phil was right," Dan says. I look at him confused. "You do look like the sun when you look at me." I blush.

"Louise said that, too."

"Did she say the thing about my eyes, and my smile, and my dimples and sparkles." I chuckle.

"Yes, she did. And it's true." Now it's Dan's turn to blush. We're interrupted by a waiter asking for our drinks. "A One Night Stand?" I ask Dan.

He nods. "We'll get both have a One Night Stand, please." The waiter nods and walks away. As soon as he's gone, Dan bursts out into laughter. "That was the same waiter as last time."

I look at him in disbelief. "No way! Really?" Dan nods and I begin to laugh along with him. "Oh my God. Do you think he recognizes you?"

"Maybe. We were probably such disruptive people that our faces are branded on his brain forever."

"I hope he knows that we're not having a one night stand. Unless this turns out to be one." Dan looks at me shocked.

"Y/N! I would never do that. Who would only have a one night stand with you?"

"You're a sweetheart, Dan." I smile at him and get that look in return. The waiter then returns with our drinks and some bread and the butter nipples.

"Would you like to order now?" He asks the two of us.

"Yes please." We order our food and the waiter turns to Dan.

"And do you require more butter, sir?" I look at Dan and try not to laugh.

"May we have one more plate, please?" The waiter nods and goes to get more butter. As soon as he leaves, I lose it.

"He remembers! He remembers! Oh, wow, this is the best night I've ever had. He remembers!" I tease Dan who awkwardly sits in his chair. People around us begin to stare at us strangely, but I honestly don't care. This is just too funny.

The waiter comes back with the plate of butter. "Yes, I remember you. And I remember you, too, madam. It's hard to forget such a pretty face."

I look at him, disgusted. "Sorry, sir, but I'm currently on a date and would rather you not flirt with me, or else I will send a complaint to your manager. Is that clear?" The waiter nods and shuffles away. "Cunt," I mutter.

"Feisty," Dan chuckles.

"Did you really want him hitting on your date?"

"No. You're cute when you get defensive, by the way." I blush for the millionth time this night.

Tonight is going to be a good night.

~Time skip~

"Come with me," Dan grabs my hand and pulls me along the pavement. We keep running until we reach the park. We make our way over to our hill. But tonight, it's different.

On the hill is a picnic blanket with a picnic blanket. Fairy lights hang in the trees, candles surround the blanket and a Bluetooth speaker hides behind a few of the candles.

"Wow, so you're into cliché romance." He chuckles.

"This was all Phil and Louise. And just to clarify, those are fake candles. None of us trusted our luck with real candles."

"It's still beautiful." I look at Dan and smile. "This whole night has been beautiful."

"You know what's been the most beautiful part?" I raise my eyebrow. "You."

"Haha, funny."

"It's true. Now, take a seat, m'lady." I sit down on the blanket. Dan fiddles around with his phone and the speaker for a moment until Unintended by Muse begins to play. "Please, appreciate the music. I spent ages creating a playlist just for tonight."

"That's beautiful, Dan. What's in the basket?" He cheekily grins and opens the basket. He pulls out chocolate coated strawberries, two glasses and a bottle of champagne. "How much more cheesy will this get- is that my scarf?" I pull the scarf out of the basket and gasp.

"A lot more cheesy," he whispers. I look at the scarf. It's the same scarf I wore the day I met Dan. The scarf that got caught on his jacket.

"Why do I get the feeling that this is all for some TV show? This all just seems too good to be true."

"You're too good to be true." He awkwardly turns away and starts pouring champagne into the glasses.

You're the one who's too good to be true.

"Here." He holds a glass out to me and I take it. I take a sip and melt. You know what they said about champagne on the Fault in Our Stars? It's true. Dan gives me a strange look. "Never had champagne before?"

I shake my head. "Never had a moment special enough for it." He grins like an idiot.

"Well, I'm flattered that the first moment special enough for champagne was with me."

"I'm glad it's with you," I sigh and rest my head on his shoulder. We sit there and listen to the soft music for a while until Dan picks up the plate of chocolate coated strawberries and shoves it in my face.

"Better start eating these." I pick one up and pop it into my mouth, immediately moaning. "There'll be a lot more of that if this date goes well," Dan mutters, obviously not wanting me to hear. I giggle.

"Watch yourself, Howell." He nudges me with his elbow.

"Shut up." I smirk.

"Bet you won't say that later if this date goes well." He laughs.

"Let's just go back to how we were. Cuddled up and quiet." I giggle.

"That sounds alright," I snuggle in closer.

~Time skip~

"Shouldn't we pack this all up before we leave?" Dan shakes his head.

"Phil and Louise said not to worry about it. They'll get here early tomorrow to pack it all up. Oh look! One more strawberry," he shouts excitedly and picks it up. "Open your mouth."

I close my eyes and open my mouth, waiting for the taste of chocolate and sour strawberry. But it never comes. All that comes is the sound of Dan's laughter. I open my eyes to see Dan cheekily chomping on the last strawberry.

"Dan~!" I whine. "You're such a dick!"

"Hell yeah, I'm a dick, girl, ad-DICK-ted to you," he continues laughing.

"Nice use of Fall Out Boy lyrics. Now start running." I start towards him and he finally gets the idea, bolting away from me. I chase him down the path, the two of us laughing like crazy. I finally catch up to him and leap on him, causing the two of us to fall, me landing on top of his back.

"Oh, how the mighty fall." I smirk as I stand. He turns around and firmly grabs my waist, pulling me back down.

"How the mighty fall in love," he whispers and looks deep into my eyes. I watch as he moves his head closer to mine. I close my eyes and slowly lean in. There's about a millimetre between us until Dan finally breaks the gap. His soft, warm lips crash into mine. Immediately, I return the kiss. One of his large hands slowly travel up my waist and up my back and rests behind my head. We continue for about a minute and break away for breath. "Guess what?" He smirks.

"What?"

"This is where we first met." I lean back in for another kiss, which then ends twenty seconds later.

"Guess what?" Dan says again.

"What now?"

He smiles softly. "I love you."

"I love you, too." Our lips connect. This kiss lasts longer than the others until we break it again.

"Y/N, I want to be with you. I always have. I want to be able to flirt with you, cuddle you, share a bed with you, kiss you and say 'I love you' without people questioning our status. I want to be able to call you mine. There's an empty spot in my heart, and I know this is cheesy as fuck, but will you be the one to fill it?"

I kiss him one more time. "Yes, Dan. I'd love nothing more. Now let's go before Lou panics." Dan laughs.

"She's probably hoping we've gotten a hotel room." I laugh along. "Let's go, then." We stand and Dan takes my hand.

"To a hotel room or back home?"

"Back home," he says in a slightly disappointed tone. "Unless..."

"Watch it. S/N just became a thing, I don't think it's the time for that." He nods. We walk along the path and into the direction of our building.

When we're finally in the small space between our flats, we turn and face each other. Before I say anything, Dan pulls me into a tight hug.

"I don't want to leave you now."

"We'll see each other tomorrow, I promise."

He pulls back and looks into my eyes. "I love you."

"I love you, too." He leans in and we kiss for the millionth and last time for the night. We separate and turn to both our doors. I unlock mine and take one last glance at Dan before I shut the door. As soon as I shut it, I hear footsteps running down the stairs. Louise appears at the top of the first flight of stairs.

"How did it go?" I grin at her.

"Your number two OTP is official." She screams and runs down the stairs, wrapping her arms around me almost tighter than Dan.

"Y/N! Oh my God, I'm so happy! And what do you mean number two?" She asks, letting go

"Zalfie is your number one, isn't it?"

Louise shakes her head. "They're cute, but nowhere near as cute as you and Dan. Now, tell me about it."

"It was really cliché." She giggles.

"Sorry about that."

"But it was still the best night of my life."

"So far." She winks. I roll my eyes.

"Bed time. I'm exhausted."

Louise gasps. "Were his kisses really that good?" I laugh and nod. "Well, then. Now go get some sleep. You need to be well rested to see your boyfriend tomorrow." My stomach goes crazy with butterflies again at the mention of boyfriend. I can't believe it! Daniel James Howell! My boyfriend! I nod and literally float up the stairs and into my room. I change into my pyjamas and then go into the bathroom to wash the makeup on my face. I then return to my room and flop on the bed to happily fall asleep.

Dan's POV

I shut the door and turn around, only to come face to face with Phil.

"So, is S/N canon?" I nod and Phil jumps up and down. At the same time, a scream comes from across the hall. "Well, Louise has heard the news. Did she find the scarf?"

"Yes, she found the scarf. You put it in there, didn't you?" He nods his head, looking proud with himself. "Thanks, Phil. You really are a good friend for setting up the park," I say as I pull him into a hug.

"You're welcome, Dan. Now I've been waiting here for ages, I'm going to bed."

"Night, Phil."

"Night, Dan." As Phil goes back upstairs to sleep, I stay by the front door, still overwhelmed.

I did it. The love of my life is finally the love of my life! Did that even make sense? Who cares, it makes sense to me.

I pull out my phone and go onto Twitter.
