Chapter 5

*My POV*

Ryan and Skylar yipped and began to ride forward. Jake and I was grabbed and restrained by some of the warriors and brought into the Home Tree. Neytiri and Tsu'tey hopped down with Ryan and Skylar and waited for Jake and me to show with the other warriors.

The Na'vi people moved away from us frightened as to why we were here. As we were brought forward, Tsu'tey grabbed my arm and Neytiri grabbed Jake's and they guided us into the center of the circle, seeing the leader of the Omatikaya Clan, Eytukan.

He was speaking with Ryan and Skylar.

"Father. I see you." Neytiri greeted him as she and Tsu'tey walked away from Jake and me and Eytukan walked towards them.

Eytukan nodded at them once and walked towards Jake and I. He eye'd us quickly and Jake nodded in greeting as well, unable to understand anything that was happening.

"Eytukan. I see you." I greeted, and everyone was surprised I can speak their language but he nodded to me at the respect.

"These creatures, why do you bring them here?" Eytukan asked concerned.

"We heard from the All Mother today, that we had some place we were needed. Two spirits to meet and protect, Father. We've been trailing them all day. The male might be a bit....ignorant and slow. But the female, is strong, compassionate, and understands not to hurt any creatures, and speaks our language. But ask, Stitch and Jasiri. They were going to kill them, but there was a sign from Eywa herself." Tsu'tey assured him.

"Stitch? Jasiri? Is this true?" Eytukan asked, turning towards his son and daughter as they entered next to Neytiri and Tsu'tey.

"It's true. Neytiri and Tsu'tey were right about their feeling, and Eywa showed herself to us today through two of her Seedling spirits." Stitch nodded.

"I have said since the last time this nonsense occurred, that no dream walker will come here." Eytukan shouted and the four of them flinched.

"What's he saying?" Jake whispered to Neytiri as he got closer, nearly pressing himself against her back.

"The male's alien smell fills my nose." Eytukan crinkled his nose in disgust, making the people laugh.

"Our father is deciding whether to kill you." Neytiri whispered back to him. She pushed him back slightly, seeing Ryan coming towards us, making Jake back off slightly. I stood beside Jake, just in case he does something stupid.

"Your father?" Jake hummed and stepped around Neytiri and Tsu'tey. "It's nice to meet you, sire." Jake reached his hand out.

We all stepped forward and pulled him away from the Clan Chief.

"Stay back!" Neytiri, Tsu'tey and I warned him quickly.

"Step back!" A Na'vi shouted as she came down the tree trunk. Everyone quieted and backed away from Jake and me, including Neytiri and Tsu'tey. "I will look at these aliens."

"That is mother." Neytiri explained as she approached. "She is Tsahik. The one who interprets the will of Eywa."

"Who's Eywa?" Jake asked. I slapped my hand over his mouth to shut him up.

Mo'at stepped around us, viewing our braids and our tails. Neytiri and Tsu'tey could tell by her stance she felt what they did. The purity that radiated from off us.

"What are you two called?" Mo'at asked us. Neytiri and Tsu'tey watched curiously interested as well. "Jake Sully." Jake answered. "Call me Izzy." I explained.

Mo'at pulled the bone dagger from her necklace and stabbed it into our chests, producing drops of blood. She lifted it to her mouth and tasted it.

"Why did you come to us?" Mo'at demanded.

"I came to learn." Jake told her honestly. "I want to learn how to bond with the creatures." I told her honestly.

"We have tried to teach other Sky People. It is hard to fill a cup which is already full." Mo'ta warned.

"Well, our cups are empty, trust me." Jake smirked and I sighed. "Just ask Dr. Augustine. I'm no scientist."

"Will you stop talking about my Mom like that?" I asked.

Everyone gasped when I mentioned that Grace Augustine was my mother.

Mo'at and Eytukan came towards me and examined me, than they nodded. "This female is a true Na'vi. She may be part of the Sky People, but she has chosen her side." Mo'at said. I smiled.

"What are you?" Mo'at asked Jake curiously.

Jake made eye contact with Neytiri and she gestured for him to speak.

"I was a Marine. A, uh.... a warrior of the Jarhead Clan." He replied to them nervously. I was gonna strangle him once we returned to our bodies. "And she helped me."

Somehow this did not surprise Neytiri and Tsu'tey. The All Mother would not send two people here without good reason. It intrigued them and they smiled.

"A warrior!" Ryan stepped forward as he scoffed, and Skylar had her bow aiming at me. "We could kill them easily!" They yelled and Eytukan stopped them. Jake put himself in front of me.

"No! These are the first warrior Dream Walkers we've ever seen. If Neytiri and Tsu'tey say this was a sign. Then so be it. We must learn about the male more though." Eytukan instructed the Na'vi. Ryan and Skylar gave disapproving looks and Neytiri and Tsu'tey sighed in relief that we would not be killed.

"My daughter and her best friend..." Mo'at approached Neytiri and Tsu'tey. "You will teach them our way..."

"Wait, what?!" Neytiri and Tsu'tey gasped and frowned.

"To speak and walk as we do."

"Why us? We did our duty and brought them here. That is not fair." They exclaimed in annoyance.

"Enough." Mo'at said calmly and they hissed and shuffled their feet into the dirt. "It is decided. My daughter and her best friend will teach you our ways, and help you bond. Learn well, Jakesully and Izzy. Then we will see if your insanity can be cured."

Jake and I nodded once at her in understanding. But Mo'at and Eytukan guided me away to talk to me. I went with them.

We were sitting on a branch that looked over Pandora. "It's so beautiful..." I said softly.

Mo'at and Eytukan smiled at me. "Are you really the daughter of Grace?" Eytukan asked.

"I am." I said smiling at them. They smiled back. "You were sent to us by Eywa, do you know why?" Mo'at asked.

"No, I do not. But I've been hearing her voice." I told them softly. They seemed surprised at that.

After a while I came back to Jake, Neytiri and Tsu'tey.

We all began walking. "We must prepare for dinner. You cannot come dressed like that." They eye'd us up and down in disgust. We stopped at the sow makers and they gestured to us. "They need appropriate Na'vi clothing, please." They bowed their head and the three women looked at us with increasing frowns.

"We should have something that will do, Princess, Tsu'tey." They bowed back to them. "Lift." They stepped up to us and commanded, tapping our arms. We did as we were told. They took out a rope and began measuring us. Jake moved as she did so, making the seamstress sigh, and keep moving him back, while I stayed still.

They finished with their measurements and dug around through the weaved baskets of pre-made pieces. Shoving the cloth into Jake's hands, and gently handing it to me. "Thank you." I said. They smiled at me.

Jake looked at it and then back at her then at us.

"Wait. Is this it?" Jake asked.

"Yes, it is Jake. What's the problem?" I asked annoyed.

"There's, uh, not a whole lot here. To cover up...Well." He gestured to his lower body parts in a circle and we sighed.

"Do you want to learn?" Neytiri growled at him placing her hands on her hips. He nodded. "Then put it on." She demanded.

Jake sighed rolling his eyes and we went to change. Neytiri and Tsu'tey waited for us.

They turned around for us. "My name is Tsu'tey te Rongloa Ateyo'itan." Tsu'tey said.

"I'm Neytiri te Tskaha Mo'at'ite." Neytiri said.

"I'm sorry what?" Jake asked. I sighed and facepalmed.

"His name is Tsu'tey and her name is Neytiri." I explained. "Neytiri and Tsu'tey." Jake said softly with a chuckling, liking the way it fell from his lips. I liked the way it fell from my lips as well...

Once Jake and I finished changing they led us to the top of Home Tree, where the villagers were gathered. Neytiri, Tsu'tey and I smiled being able to hear the chanting and singing, along with the music. I noticed that the Na'vi seem comfortable with me, but are wary of Jake.

Neytiri turned to Jake and saw him still behind us, but he was pulling at the cloth again. Neytiri smacked his hand and glared, before we kept walking. Neytiri, Tsu'tey and I easily passed through their people and turned, waiting for Jake. They all stopped singing and playing music and talking as Jake approaching the outer rim of the circle.

"G-Good evening." Jake greeted them nervously, seeing them all stare. "Please don't get up." He chuckled and started to walk towards us. "Excuse me." Jake said as he made his way through the people. His tail wracking some of them uncontrollably and stepping on some other tails, making them hiss. "Sorry."

Neytiri and Tsu'tey have so much work ahead of them. They sighed shaking their heads. I facepalmed. Jake finally made it to us and Neytiri pushed him down by his shoulder. Neytiri and Tsu'tey gave us leaves full of maggots and gave it to us. Before they walked taking their spot between Ryan and Skylar, near Neytiri's Mother and Father. Dinner passed by without any incidents surprisingly.

I could tell as much as Neytiri and Tsu'tey was curious to get to know Jake and I, I knew they were only doing this as a duty to their people. They couldn't allow themselves feelings, they were betrothed. But, the All Mother did say that we were the ones who was supposed to hold their hands. They wished her messages weren't always so cryptic and that she could just come out and say Neytiri, Tsu'tey, this man and woman are your soulmates and my gifts to you two.

"Neytiri? Tsu'tey?" Jake waved his hand in front of their faces as they stopped walking in front of their weaved hammock bed that hung below. "So, what now? Both of you looked a little spaced out there."

"We're fine." Tsu'tey hissed and then sighed, not meaning to be so harsh. "We go to bed." They pointed below and we looked down.

"Uh, so we sleep together?" He smirked and we rolled our eyes. I slapped him upside the head. "I apologize for him."

Neytiri and Tsu'tey smiled at me, than turned to Jake. "No. That would be...inappropriate." They said annoyed. "You two are those." Tsu'tey pointed to the empty two next to theirs and they climbed down quickly.

Jake watched and not so gracefully copied them, getting down into his own bed which was next to Neytiri's while mine is next to Tsu'tey's. I climbed into mine gracefully and laid in bed and looked at Tsu'tey. We smiled at each other and went to bed.

*3rd POV*

Once Jake made himself comfortable, he turned and rested his head in his hand, his elbow hoisting him up. Neytiri simply turned away from him, pulling on the side of the hammock, allowing it to cover over her and closed her eyes. Jake seeing what Neytiri did, touched the hammock allowing it to cover over himself as well, closing his eyes and getting to sleep.

*My POV*

My eyes had closed inside the hammock allowing myself to get to sleep. Breaking the connection, from the Avatar back into my human body. I was up and went over to Jake who soon woke up.

"Jake!" I said.

Jake coughed and gasped coming out of the link. A wide smiled crossed his face as I had the same as we looked up at our co-workers.

"Damn it, you two were dug in like a tick." Mom explained, helping him sit up from the pod. Jake groaned. "Is the Avatars safe?"

"Yeah, Doc." Jake and I grinned at my mother as we looked at her concerned face. "And you are not gonna believe where we are."

*3rd POV*

Izzy and Jake laughed and Grace looked at them confused. They explained everything to her and to say Grace was surprised was an understatement. She couldn't believe this Buffoon of an Ex-Marine and her daughter had been the one to get into the Omatikaya's good graces. What shocked her even more was how they lit up when they talked about Neytiri and Tsu'tey. She knew about them, knowing they had skipped the line of succession to become the next Tsahik and Olo'eyktan, only she didn't know why. But she also knew that they were betrothed to Ryan and Skylar and the smile on Jake's face made her uneasy, and the smile on Izzy's face made her smile a little.

The next morning at breakfast, they sat around the table telling the story of what had happened to some of their co-workers.

*My POV*

"The last thing we see is this Marine's ass and my Daughter disappearing into the brush with this angry Thanator coming after them." Mom explained.

"Hey, it's not something you can teach." Jake chuckled, eating his oatmeal. "Moron, you almost got us killed, twice!" I said hitting him on the shoulder lightly as everyone laughed.

"That is awesome." Max laughed.

"You know, for reasons I cannot fathom, the Omatikaya have chosen you two. God help us all." Mom shook her head in disbelief and let out a small chuckle.

Unknown to us, but me, Norm sat at the other end of the table eating his food silently and looked won at Jake and me with hidden angry and jealousy. Had he not been the one to have been trying for years for this? And suddenly this... this stranger with no training comes in and takes the spotlight from him, and I did as well.

*3rd POV*

Jake was called to meet with Colonel Quaritch to report on the slew of rumors flying around the base. When he rolled in, he explained everything that had happened, everything he and Izzy said and managed to gain his way into the Omatikaya clan with Izzy. Everything about it was exactly what he had asked for from Jake and this made the Colonel very happy.

"Jarhead Clan?" He asked to clarify and Jake nodded, making Quaritch laugh. "And it worked?"

"Hey, I'm practically family." Jake joked. "They're gonna study me and Izzy. I have to learn to be one of them." He explained. "That's called taking initiative, son." Quaritch stated proudly. "I wish I had ten more like you."

"Look, Sully. Sully." Parker called out to him from across the holographic table map of Pandora. "Just find out what the blue monkey's want. You know, I mean, w-we try to give them medicine, educations, uh, uh, roads. But no, no, no, they like mud. And that wouldn't bother me, it's just that they're, uh...Hey can you?" He snapped his fingers as he tried to adjust the holographic map.

"Can, somebody just....sector 12. Go, go, go. Stop. Jesus. Their damn village happens to be resting on the richest Unobtanium deposit within 200 hundred kilcks in any direction. I mean, look at all that cheddar!" Selfridge exploded with excitement.

They all looked at the hologram, showing the surface layers of Unobtanium underneath Home Tree. Hearing the way they talked about the Omatikaya people, made Jake slightly uneasy. There was just something about the female and male that saved him and Izzy that only slightly made him question if he was doing the right thing. But of course, they had only just met this girl, and guy. Jake shook away his feelings and thoughts before looking up at Selfridge.

"Well, who gets them to move?" He asked curiously.

"Guess." Quaritch stated and Jake scoffed, letting an annoyed smile cross his face.

"And what if they won't go?" Jake asked.

"Aw, I'm betting that they will." Quaritch smirked.

"Okay, okay, okay. Hey, look, look." Parker Selfridge sighed. He walked closer to Jake and nearly whispered as he spoke. "Killing the indigenous looks bad, but there's one thing that shareholders hate more than bad press, and that's a bad quarterly statement. I didn't make up the rules. So just find me a carrot that'll get them to move. Otherwise, it's gonna back to be all stick. Also, I need you to find a certain blue monkey. She's the daughter of the so called Eywa. Okay?"

"You got three months." Quaritch explained quietly. "That's when the dozer's get there."

"Well, we're wasting time." Jake twitched his head and gave them a fake smile.

"I like this guy!" Parker laughed, slapping Jake on the shoulder

*My POV*

"Guys, right now!" Max called to the link crew, trying to get up the stations.

Jake came back from his meeting with the Colonel and Selfridge. Mom had been teaching him and making him go over the faces of the Omatikaya people so he could learn something as a human before getting back to the Avatar. Maybe to prevent him from being a complete fool.

"Okay, let's run through them again." Mom informed him as we walked and rolled towards the pods. "Mo'at. Dragon lady." Jake stated as she showed him a picture of her on the tablet. "Eytucan."

"Eytukan." I corrected his failure to pronounce the name. "He's the Clan leader. But she's the spiritual leader. Like a shaman."

"Speaking of which, the two of them had a inters in Izzy." Jake stated. They looked at me. "It's true, they were shocked when I mentioned you were my mother, Mo'at called me a true Na'vi, and I keep hearing Eywa's voice in my head."

Mom turned back to Jake. "Got it." Jake nodded and began to pull himself into the open pod. "T'su'tey." Jake nodded at the new picture.

"Tsu'tey." I corrected him again.

"Tsu'tey." Jake repeated, both of us having a smile of love on our faces

"He'll be the next Clan leader." Mom explained and flicked the screen again. I frowned at this.

"Neytiri." Jake said with a smile on his face with love, along with me.

"She'll be the next Tsahik." Mom mentioned and watched our faces. "She and Tsu'tey will become mated with Ryan and Skylar."

"So who's this Eywa?" Jake asked changing the subject.

"Who's Eywa?" Norm scoffed shocked. "Only their deity. Their goddess, made up of all living things. Everything they know! You'd know this if you had training whatsoever."

I scoffed and went to my pod and soon laid in it and went into my Avatar.

*3rd POV*

"Who's gotta date with the Chief's daughter and her best friend?" Jake smirked as he held up Neytiri and Tsu'tey's pictures.

"Oh, come on. That's not..." Norm began to argue, before Grace stepped forward.

"All right, knock it off, you two." Grace rolled her eyes. "Let's go. Village life starts early." She looked down at jake while he laid down into the pod. "Don't do anything unusually stupid." She warned and Jake rolled his eyes with a smile.
