"thanks for the nachos, pissface."
junhui picked the bag out of minghao's hands with a smile and left a sloppy kiss on his cheek. minghao pulled his sleeve down over his hand and wiped his cheek, a disgusted look on his face.
"god, junhui, i know i'm the perfect man," minghao said, sarcasm dripping from his tone, "but you don't have to throw yourself at me like that. i may be irresistible, but-"
"shut up before i tell jeonghan that you were hitting on me."
"i'm not! you fucking ugl-"
junhui shoved a stack of chips full of toppings into his mouth before speaking. "what about this is ugly?" he asked, motioning to his body.
minghao rolled his eyes and took a sip from his drink before flopping onto the couch. "asshole."
"you are what you eat."
"i'm back from shopping!" a voice speaking in english came from the main doorway that minghao had come through. soonyoung stepped in with bags up and down his arms, at least seven on each arm, with a large smile on his face. the grin fell from his face when he saw the two eating happily. "so you didn't get me anything?"
minghao reached into the bag in front of him and tossed what seemed like a burrito towards the older, who caught it with ease.
"thanks."
jun looked up, tearing open a fire sauce packet with his teeth and pouring it over his nachos. "why were you out if you're still sick?"
soonyoung had started walking to the kitchen and briefly turned to reply a quick "i'm starting to feel a bit better" before he walked through the door and it swung shut quietly behind him.
junhui glared at minghao. "see! he could've taken the job!"
"oh, stop complaining. they overpay anyways. you can keep the extra."
the older huffed softly and minghao rolled his eyes at how immature he was being. he threw a sauce packet at him, and it hit junhui right in the forehead.
"asshole," junhui mumbled. "anyways, who am i babysitting and where and when is it?"
"it's one of the regular's," minghao said, popping a cinnamon twist into his mouth. "the lee family, well, we have a lot of lee's, but chan lee's the kid. they live at 530 burns, and they need you there in..." he squinted to look at the clock on the wall, "i was never good with non-digital clocks, thirty minutes or so."
junhui stood and started pacing around the room, yelling incoherently at the boy, saying things along the lines of why couldn't you have told me this on the phone!, and you shithead i'm gonna be late!, and just repeating it (as well as some other more incoherent words that couldn't even be heard properly), switching between cantonese and english until soonyoung came into the room and told him to shut the fuck up.
"i wanted to get my taco bell, you fuck. if it wasn't for me you would be starving," minghao mumbled, crossing his arms and slumping back in his chair.
"you must be forgetting that i'm the only one here that has a driver's license," junhui retorted. "i literally drive you everywhere that's beyond walking distance from the house, and you walk everywhere else."
"i have a license too! don't forget that!" soonyoung yelled from the kitchen, jumping into the conversation. his voice was muffled; he probably took a bite of his food before speaking.
"a permit and a license are two different things."
"they're close enough."

"and this is the house," minghao said as they stopped walking when they got to the driveway. it was a nice medium sized house with small pots of flowers on the front porch and a porch swing.
"very home-y," junhui pointed out.
minghao rolled his eyes at the older. "well, i gotta go," he started, "jeonghan's waiting for me."
as the younger started walking away, junhui yelled out a quick "use protection!" and ignored minghao's yelling as he walked up to the steps to the front door.
he reached the bright white door and knocked, hoping that he wouldn't get yelled at by the parents about the time. he wasn't sure if he was late or not, given that he didn't drive to the house, choosing to walk along with his friend, but he just hoped that he wasn't.
a woman opened the door and seemed relieved to see the boy in front of him. "you're junhui, right? minghao said you would come," she asked, a welcoming grin on her face. jun nodded his head and the lady ushered him into the house.
"i'm ms. lee," she said, holding out her hand for the boy to shake, which he did. "you can just call me boyeon if you'd like."
"yes, ma'am," junhui said, nodding his head.
ms. lee continued on. "chan is in the living room watching tv. he can watch anything as long ass there's not too much violence but no sexual content at all, there's money clipped to the fridge to order something for you guys if you get hungry. i'm sorry the call was short notice, but if his brother wasn't locked up in his room," she said, angling her head up the stairs of the house towards the room of her other son, "i would've gotten him to do this for me."
"it's no problem, really," he said, smiling softly. "i don't want to hold you up any longer though, i know you're busy."
"i'll be back sometime before midnight, hopefully," she said, picking up her keys and heading towards the door. "i trust you, don't make me regret it, mr. junhui."
"you won't, ms. boyeon." and she shut the door and left.
