Simon and Josh didn't really talk that much on the way home. Instead they just enjoyed each other's presence.

"This life is so messy and dangerous. What have we have gotten ourselves into?" Josh sighed. He was thinking about how much longer they could actually last.

"It doesn't matter to me because even if I don't live to be thirty I won't care. I can tell you this, I am way happier living life with the chances that I could die tomorrow, than I would be stuck working at some fast food place." Simon declared. They walked up to the front of Evie's house and walked in. It was complete darkness inside. Simon turned on the hall light and crept into Evie and Cal's room. "Evie! Cal! Wake up!" he shouted. 

"Simon?! What the fuck?!" Cal yelled. Evie's mouth dropped open.

"You're alive?! I thought JJ killed you?!" she scrambled out of bed.

"Nope. It's a little trick call bullet proof vests and packets of fake blood." Simon chuckled. He then went on to explain everything that happened that night. "So, don't feel bad. You didn't get me killed. In fact you helped save some lives in a really weird and unrelated way."

"I don't think I've ever been happier to see you!" Evie actually hugged Simon. That feeling of guilt was completely gone. "Josh I'm sorry that I almost let your best friend die." she apologized.

"Don't sweat it. It was a scary moment there but I appreciate the fact that you let me live. Plus Simon's alive now and that's all that matters." Josh told her.

"Does this mean you'll be nicer to me?" Simon pulled her away.

"Maybe. I'm sorry that I chose Josh over you. That still doesn't feel right." Evie scratched the back of her neck.

"I'm glad that you actually decided to have me killed instead of Josh because otherwise Josh, would... be dead... But lets ignore that and leave it on a happy note!"
