3 - Suffocation
It's so loud in here.
The noise was overwhelming.
Thunderstorms, firestorms, storms of all kind
That suffocated the oxygen, leaving nothing but ruin.
Explosions, screaming. Blood pouring.
Tremors, earthquakes, uncontrollable shaking.
Rain poured in massive drops through glass orbs.
Clouds darkening the souls of the innocent, tinting them gray.
Electrical currents striking through their bodies, burning them whole.
Blind, blind, I'm running blind.
Blinded by the pain, by the hurt.
The cage that contained the wildest of animals started to break as it couldn't hold itself up much longer, bleeding from its tremendous weight.
Maybe it was finally time to break as the world around it was already falling apart.
The screams sucked out every breath of oxygen left in, leaving a purple and blue flood.
What was the point of holding up now?
The noise was too loud.
The noise was too loud.
The noise of the silence and the heartbeat and the soft breaths.
The noise of nothingness and angry, rattled hearts.
Hearts of kindness that has been stomped upon by millions.
Millions. Millions.
They were the best
The ones who forgave and the ones who never forgot to thank
But they are treated like garbage
Dragged across the rough streets, struck by lightning and pushed into the mud.
Awakening daily on another storm day
Turmoil given for free rather than joy.
But it was the calm after the storm
The rain has dried the streets, wrinkling the sands.
Breaking hearts of thousands, lulling into a deafening silence
A silence different than before,
A silence much worse.
A silence of defeat, submission of pain.
For days endured in growls of the wildest of animals.
For days endured in more lightning and firestorms.
For days endured in the silence of their personal torture.
For days to end in defeaning silence and numbing defeat.
Winds blew warm yet chilled the bones of the innocents that lost their reason
Lost their reason of being kind, of being sweet and forgiving.
What will save us now?
The little children raise their open filthy palms
like tiny daggers up to heaven
and all the juvie halls and the retalin rats
ask angels made from neon and fucking garbage
scream out
"what will save us?"
And the sky opened up
revealing the innocents in higher places
taken to where they belonged
Their turmoil finally ending
The blood suffocation over
and they can finally breathe again.
