I walked into the house humming, Mama was in the sitting room watching a particular series she been watching for weeks now, I don't even know it's title since I am not even interested.

I stared at her again and can't help but wonder how beautiful she was at her age. I don't look anything like her just the brown hair we share, I stand two inches taller than her 5'3 figure and takes after my grandmother's curvy body and brown eyes, I love the oblong shape of my face and the long wavy hair my mother envies a lot.

"Young lady, what is making you so happy?" Mama asked making me smile, how does she know me so much? Well I guess it is just the mother-daughter connection.

"Is it so obvious?" I asked her, she nodded placing her movie on pause. "I met this really great guy mom, just a few weeks ago but I feel he is the man for me, the best thing is he feels the same" I explained to her but she only smiled.

"I hope he is not in anyway possible like Carrick because I will so kill him" Hilda said making me smile this time, talk about a mother who acts like a teenage girl.

"Trust you Hilda, just never mention Carrick" I warned then left for my room, I threw my pair of heels somewhere and changed into a comfortable cloth, jumped in bed and picked up my phone only to find that message that brought smiles to my face from guess who

*Hey Pretty* Jerry is just cool like that, just a few days ago he had come to me requesting information on our top star Tania and I fell instantly for him, he looked and still looks so cute, I love cute guys especially the tall ones and that he is. His deep voice does crazy things to me, you don't want to imagine.

*Hey handsome*

"Smiling at your phone ended the day you broke up with Carrick, wats up?" My idiotic best friend said walking in to my room without knocking, like always.

"Always knock" I told him rolling my eyes and he gave me the dhur face, coming over to my bed he said

"I've seen you butt naked a million times" just what sort of a man is he? Its no wonder he cant find love. "So who is he?" He asked sitting at the edge of my bed.

"My boyfriend" I replied and you should really see the look on his face, it's a pity I can't really describe his look but he obviously had doubts.

"I hope he is nothing like......

"Can you people please stop mentioning that that asshole's name? And yes my sweet boyfriend is nothing like that butthole" I replied cutting me off, it is so annoying how they can't stop mentioning him, is it not enough that he broke my heart?

"Great but I have a blind date problem, any escape idea?" He asked frustration evident in his tone, I don't know why mama won't stop fixing him blind dates, she believes that he can only be responsible when he get married, for me I think he needs a woman to get his head straight so maybe mama and I are on the same page.

"What escape plan, go to that blind date of yours now!!!" I ordered and he rolled his eyes like he always do.

"Come on Tunica, I don't need anymore blind dates, you know how it ends, I get there she says something boring, I leave, she reports me to your mama, mama and I have a fight, I come hiding in your room"  he explained and damn right was he but it doesn't matter.

"Be patient, it might end well this time!" I told him and he left grudgingly. That's my Asher.

*Wanna meet up* I smiled seeing the text pop up on my phone and quickly found something nice to put on then left the house, so grateful mama did not see me.

I drove down to Jerry's house some twenty minutes away from mine, something felt right about him, it was the same with Carrick when we started about three years ago, we had so many plans, our honeymoon, children and all those crazy shit until.......

"Babe" Jerry's voice got me out of my crazy thoughts, I don't know why I still think of that punk when I have my charming Jerry, wait a minute when did I ring the bell?

"Hi" I said

"I just suddenly wanted to see your pretty face" he said making me blush, oh I don't think I can ever find a better man, he is just the best.

"I'm glad because I've missed yours as well" I replied following him in and got comfortable on his couch. He had a bottle of wine on the table, I smiled. "look who is prepared" I said teasing

"You know I was thinking it will be nice if you spent the night" He suggested, actually I wish I could but Stanice is not going to love seeing me walk in late.

"I need to get to work early tomorrow" I explained to him and he nodded, completely understanding.

I spent the whole evening at his and I must say I had mad fun!

"You haven't been picking your calls woman, I've been worried" mama said as I walked in, she worries to much.

"I was busy okay?" I replied and attempted to leave before she would say anything else but note the word "attempted"

"Just today you closed early, I got to send that crazy boy on a date and thought we will spend sometime together" she whined, like seriously?

"Ma I went to see my boyfriend and we got busy, we got time mama" I replied.

"Oh, I see" she said

"See nothing okay? Bye!" I replied and ran up the stairs quickly because this mother of mine is a crazy one.
