Tunica

I heard someone making noise from outside my room, the voice sounded familiar and I wondered who it was, why can't this person just let me enjoy my sleep for Christ's sake, the voice became clearer and I just realised who it was. Mama!!

"Come on Tunes, you are going to be late for work" she yelled, hitting my door pretty hard.

"Go away mom" I yelled back, sluggishly getting out of bed. I can picture her look right now, she is angry.

"How many times have I told you not to call me mom" She said making me smile, she prefers mama to mom because mama is actually her pet name and mom makes her feel older than she is, makes me wonder why these old people hates feeling they are old.

"And how many times have I told you not to call me Tunes" I asked in reply opening the door only to see her grinning widely.

"It's ten minutes past 8 o'clock Tunica!" She stated, my eyes widened at realisation, I am really late for work and Stanice will be so pissed. "We don't want your boss firing you do we?" She added.

"He loves me, he can't fire me" I replied smiling making her shake her head and leave, I'm so sure she is fed up of me already but she doesn't have a choice.

I was about going into the bathroom when my phone rang, Stanice.

"Good morning Stanice" I said in my cute voice

"Where are you Tunica?" He asked angrily, oops the cute voice is not working.

"On my way, I'd arrive in 30 minutes I promise" I replied rushing into the bathroom and placed the phone on loudspeaker.

"Really Tunica! Really?" He was so pissed and I knee.

"I'm so sorry Stanice" I whined and he kind of calmed down.

"What is my schedule like today?" He asked, good!

"By 10am you are to.......

"Are you brushing your teeth?" He yelled from the other side of the phone.
I froze! How was I planning to brush discreetly?

"I still have 28 minutes left" I replied.
"So by 10 am you are to meet with JD entertainment" I told him, quickly taking off my pyjamas.

"Oh for the collaboration he is refusing right?"

"Exactly" I replied putting on the shower.

"Bathing now" I smiled

"Yes Stanice"

"I wanna join in" he joked making me roll my eyes and laugh, Stanice is my boss of two years but we are really close, his girlfriend Stella always thought we were having a secret affair but it never crossed our mind.

"You wish Stan, by 1pm you have a meeting with Cole" I told him moving back to work.

"Call me when you done taking your bath, can't hear you well" he said and ended the call, once I was done taking my bath I called back and repeated the meeting with Cole.

"Oh the boy I promised a contract right?" He confirmed

"Yes" I replied him quickly dressing in a pretty short black dress, I threw on a red jacket and a pair of red heels while still discussing Cole with him.

"By 3 you are to meet Stella until The Rest Of The Day" I told him. I said 'the rest of the day' in a suggestive tone that made him laugh, weakly though.

"Cancel that" He instructed, with his changed tone I knew something was wrong, he really loves Stella and doesn't joke with her.

"But why?" I asked concerned. "Fuck" I yelled.

"What are you fucking Tunica" he teased and I couldn't hold my laughter, way to change the topic Stan.

"Traffic Stan, I'm caught in traffic" I replied.

"I need you here Tunica" He said and ended the call, I noticed his voice wasn't as bright and he was only pretending ever since I first heard his voice but ignored it. I needed to do something! I quickly turned around and took an alternate route, within 20 minutes I was at work.

Stanice was frowning, he was pissed but trust me when I say he can't stay pissed at me.

"Stanice" I called out his name with a broad smile making him roll his eyes, what is wrong with these men and rolling of their eyes? That reminds me, Asher!

"I'm sorry Stanice" I apologized and he only smiled, one I knew was fake, something is wrong with him I could see it, we have almost forty minutes left before meeting Stanly of JD entertainment.

"Is everything okay?" I asked concerned.

"Stella and I broke up last night and I had no one to share with" He said sadly, I was shocked, he really loved Stella how was that possible? It's no wonder the date was cancelled, he planned on proposing😢

"Really? John? What about John? He is your best friend after all, why did you not go crash at his and drink away your pain?" I asked in reply.

"That son of a motherfucking bitch was fucking my girlfriend, my best friend and my girlfriend, now I know how you felt" I have never seen this side of Stanice, ever! I pulled him from his office seat into a two-sitter cnhair in his office, placing his head on my shoulder and consoled him.

"If she cheated on you with your best friend then she is not worth stressing over" I told him but he gave no response, just stayed in the jposition he was
