Berrytail's ears prick as Scorchflower heads out of camp alone. 'I want to follow her and see what she's up to.' Berrypaw squeezes out the bramble entrance and follows her mothers scent. She spots Scorchflower walking towards the back of the territory. 'Why's she going there?' Berrypaw crouches and slowly stalks after her. Another cat then walks up to her. It's a cream tom.

"Tristan! Good to see you again!" Scorchflower purrs. 'Again?! Has she been visiting him this whole time!?'

"Good to see you too, Abby." Tristan purrs. 'ABBY?! Her name is Scorchflower, not that retched kittypet name!'

"So, how are our kits coming along?" Tristan smoothes his chest. 'What does he mean his kits!? Snowpaw and I are Russetear's!'

"They're doing fine. Pinepool said that they're healthy." Scorchflower glances at her stomach. Berrypaw then realizes that she's not talking about her and Snowpaw. 'Scorchflower is pregnant with another tom's kits? What will Russetear think of that, his mate having someone else's kits.' Berrypaw slowly crouches towards them even more, careful not to get too close to where the cats will pick up her scent.

"Anyways, I have a job for you." Tristan meows. Scorchflower sits down and pricks her ears so she can listen to Tristan better. "I want you too-"

"Berrypaw!" Someone yowls. 'Oh no! Scorchflower'll definitely know I'm here! I've got to think of an excuse!' Berrypaw panics and quickly goes into a hunters crouch, pretending to hunt prey. To her surprise, there's actually a Robin a tail length away from her. 'Thank StarClan!'

"Berrypaw! What in StarClan's name are you doing out here alone?!" Cherrycloud hisses to her apprentice.

"Uh, I was hunting." Berrypaw glances at where the robin used to be.

"A tree. You were hunting a tree." Cherrycloud growls impatiently. 'Cherrycloud, please believe me!'

"No, there used to be a robin there. I'm sorry I wasn't fast enough." Berrypaw shrinks down.

"First off, sorry catches no prey, and second, you need to tell one of your clanmates that you're going out of camp. Everyone of them was worried sick. We thought a fox caught you! Now go and catch something for the clan then go into your den. I was going to have you battle train with all the apprentices, but I guess you ruined that chance." Cherrycloud spits. Berrypaw flattens her ears and nods solemnly. 'Why did I do this!? This was my last chance to battle train with everyone, since Maplepaw, Fluffypaw, and the others besides Snowpaw are going to be made warriors. Now I'm just going to be a lonely kit in the apprentice's den. I blame Scorchflower for this. It's all her fault.' Berrypaw growls softly and pads deeper into the forest. Cherrycloud is just up ahead. Berrypaw then hears a rustling sound and she turns to her right, seeing a rabbit. She goes into a hunters crouch and pounces at it. She kills after chasing it for a bit. 'This won't be enough to feed the Clan! It's too skinny. I guess I'll have to hunt more. Hopefully Scorchflower didn't think I was stalking her.'

*Time Skip*

"Are you guys ready?" Honeyshimmer asks all the apprentices. Berrypaw lays in the entrance of the apprentice's den with her head on her paws. Maplepaw glances over at her.

"Can we go tomorrow? It won't be as fun without Berrypaw." He asks. Berrypaw lifts her head up. 'What is he doing?'

"Yeah, this'll be the last time we'll train together as apprentices." Fishpaw states. 'Are they postponing this just for me?' Berrypaw was too shocked to speak.

"Yeah, can we?" Foxpaw asks.

"Please!" Snowpaw begs with wide eyes. Cherrycloud huffs.

"Fine. But you guys aren't going to lay around camp all day. Go join a Patrol or something." She growls and heads into the Warrior's den. 'Either I gave her the bad attitude or she's just having a bad day.' The apprentices pad over to Berrypaw. She sits up and curls her tail around her front paws.

"You guys didn't have to do that you know." She mews.

"Why wouldn't we? You're our denmate. We don't leave each other behind." Spacepaw licks his front paw and runs it over his face.

"Yeah. Like Maplepaw said, it's not as fun unless everyone's included." Magicpaw meows. Berrypaw smiles.

"We should get some sleep." Fluffypaw yawns and pads into the apprentice's den with Maplepaw following. Snowpaw motions his tail for Berrypaw to follow him and the go to a dark and quiet spot in the corner of the camp.

"What was the actual reason for you leaving earlier.?" Snowpaw asks his sister. Berrypaw shuffles.

"I-I was following Scorchflower out of camp. She met up with a loner or kittypet or some cat named Tristan. The first thing he asked her was how his kits were doing. At first I thought he meant us, but we look more like Russetear than anything. I then realized that it wasn't us. Scorchflower' pregnant. But with Tristan's kits." Berrypaw explains. Snowpaw looks at her with wide eyes.

"You're kidding?" He asked, still shocked. Berrypaw shakes her head. "Should we tell Russetear?"

"Nah. I want him to find out himself and see what he does." Berrypaw mews. Snowpaw nods.

"Come on, let's get some sleep. We have a big day ahead of us." He yawns.
