Jax, Chibs, and Clay followed me to the clubhouse, and when I passed Keith, I saw a slight panic in his eyes, which I ignored, heading through the clubhouse to the room to pack the bag with all the clothes I had, plus most of my toiletries, except a few things that weren't necessary. "You coming?" Gemma asked, and when I looked, I saw she was also packed with a bag. "You're coming too?" I asked back, and Gemma nodded with a slight hint of annoyance in her voice. "Clay seemed to get all of us out of here," she replied. I hummed softly. "You don't seem happy about it," I said. "You and I both want to help," Gemma said as I joined her in the hallway and closed the door behind me. Chibs waited for us outside, taking the bag from me and passing it to Juice, who packed it into the jeep. I turned to Chibs and took both his hands. "Find out what happened to Paddy," I whispered. "We will," Chibs replied. I glanced at the car where Kerrianne and Fiona were waiting. "If you find Liam, kick his slimy ass to hell where he can rot," I grumbled. A hand fell onto my shoulder. I turned my head to see Jax stopping next to me. "We will," he said with a slight smile. I took a breath, turning to the car now filled with Gemma, Fiona, and Kerrianne. Quickly, I hugged Jax and kissed Chibs on his lips. "I love you," I whispered. "Love ye too," he replied. I released his hand and got into the car, with Chibs closing the door after I took a seat next to Gemma. We drove for a while, hearing the roaring of Motorbikes close to us. The car stopped just as I was about to fall asleep, and when the door opened, I saw Juice and Luther standing outside the door with one of the other men from the Irish chapter looking around. I grabbed my bag and waited for Fiona, who led us into the building and through some hallways. "What is this?" I quietly asked, and Fiona, in front of me, slightly turned around. "A Church and a safehouse at the same time," she replied. She kept walking, and I followed with Gemma and Kerrianne at the end, with Luther guarding us. It was really quiet in contrast to the clubhouse, which was loud and always had music. In a little apartment, we separated into rooms, but since this was a really small apartment, Gemma and I had to share, which I was okay with. "Unless you snore like a chainsaw going through the rainforest, like my husband," I told her, which made Gemma smile. "Nope, I don't. Lucky for you," she replied, and I smiled, returning to the living room, sitting with Fiona and Gemma on the couch while Kerrianne was somewhere, until I got up walking out of the apartment. "Where are you going?" Gemma asked. "I think I'm going to sit for a while," I told her, and she walked out behind me. "You alright?" she asked, worried. I nodded. "Yeah," I whispered, turning and walking down the hallway to one of the open doors, and when I looked inside, it was a church that was beautiful, big, with rows and rows of benches. I walked quietly inside, looking around the room I was in, with stained-glass windows with colors showing men or women on them; each window was different, and while I walked closer into the church towards the front, I felt somebody behind me, and when I looked, I saw the man who waited for us when we arrived. I didn't know his name, but he didn't bother me just stood near the door. "No peace from you then," I grumbled just to myself, sitting down on one of the benches several rows from the altar with my hand resting on my stomach. "Are you okay, little one?" I thought to the little worm, but there was no answer, no kick, nothing. "I really hope you're okay," I said out loud. For the first time since leaving the clubhouse, she let herself breathe. No Liam. No questions. No accusations. No men planning what to do next. Just silence. I looked up from my stomach towards the altar. The candles flickered gently. I leaned back against the wooden pew. "I don't even know what I'm supposed to do with myself," I whispered with a sigh. Her thoughts immediately went to Chibs. Find out what happened to Paddy. Then Jax. Clay. Liam. I closed my eyes. I hated being away from them. But she knew Chibs had been right. If something was happening, she couldn't put herself in the middle of it. A soft sound came from behind her. Footsteps. I opened her eyes. A man walked slowly down the aisle. I got up from my seat where I was sitting. He gave me a hand gesture to sit while he walked up and sat on the bench on the other side of the aisle. I recognized him the day we arrived here in Belfast, coming down the stairs with Trinity and Maureen. "You're Riley," he said, and I nodded while I also sat back down where I sat just seconds before. "Yeah." I replied with a slight nod. He gave me a small smile. "I thought so," he said while I looked at him at his clothes. "Have we met?" I asked finally after a while. "Not properly," he replied. He looked forward at the altar and back over where I was sitting. "I am Father Ashby," he said. I nodded. "I know." I quietly said; he gave me a slight look which I knew was more like he knew about Chibs and me. "Then you probably also know my sister," he said. I raised an eyebrow. "Your sister?" I asked, not knowing what he meant, but Ashby was calm. "Maureen," he replied, and it finally clicked into place.
