I leaned against the desk. "I'm really happy, Chibs, and I can't wait to meet the little one." A voice came from behind them. "Sounds like I'm bein' discussed," Chibs said, walking in. He stood just a few feet away, watching what was happening. When I saw his face, I knew something had happened. he smelled like smoke and something burned. "What happened?" I quickly got up and walked softly, taking his puffed-up face into my hands. Chibs didn't say anything, just led me out of the store while Cherry followed after us over to the Clubhouse. Everybody was sitting around or was standing in groups. When we entered, I saw that there were a few groups standing around, and two men were sitting on the couch getting treated for minor burns on their arms and one nasty-looking one on the leg. I released my hand from Chibs and walked over, seeing Luther breathing through his teeth from the pain. "Hap, run to my room and get my bag, please," I said over my shoulder. I saw somebody dashing past me and returning while I checked the wound on Luther's arm. "You're gonna be fine, just hurts like shit, but I have to clean it out." I quietly told me, turning to the bag and grabbing some gloves. "Okay, I apologize already," I mumbled and placed a wet gaze on the wound, and I felt Luther wince. "Don't move," I mumbled softly, cleaning away most of the wound and putting some ointment on it. "Let a real Doctor have a look at it, okay," I said softly, bandaging up his arm. "Thought yer a doctor." Luther quietly said, taking a drink from a glass. "Yeah, no, I'm a nurse," I replied, looking up at him. "You'll survive," I said with a smile before moving to the other guy with the wound on the leg, which looked worse, and I took a little time getting it cleaned and also bandaged up. "You might have some scarring on the leg, but it will heal," I told him, getting up from the floor where I was sitting, looking around the room. Clay was sitting at the table, his expression grim. Gemma sat next to him, her hand on his shoulder, trying to talk to him, but he just stared blankly into the room. Jax stood nearby, staring down at the floor. Bobby had settled into a chair, his shoulders slumped. Juice and Happy were unusually silent. Even Opie looked as though he hadn't slept in days. Chibs was in a chair slightly behind me. I quickly walked over and knelt in front of Chibs. "Baby, talk to me. What happened?" I quietly asked, seeing Chibs's body slumped into the chair he was sitting on. I leaned closer to him. "We wanted to talk to Jimmy." Jax started talking from where he was standing. "We arrived at the Barn where we wanted to meet, but he never came." He continued after a small pause. "Just when we gave up hope, the door of the barn closed, and when we tried to open it, there were chains around them locking us in. We got out just in time when the barn exploded; six of the Irish boys got killed, and when we thought we were safe, we saw Paddy was also dead." Jax finished. I let out a breath. "Shit," I mumbled. I turned back to Chibs, who was still slumped in the chair. "Chibs," I said softly, reaching my hand out to touch his cheek. He leaned into my touch, and I felt his body slump forward, his head on my shoulder. I felt his body shaking while I just held him in my arms as he quietly cried. "I'm so sorry, Baby," I whispered, feeling tears well up. "He was a good boy, so nice," I whispered when I remembered something. "Did he have family? Except Chibs, I mean his mother?" I asked, more towards Keith. "He lives here in Ireland," Keith replied, and I felt his answer was more reluctant. "I'm gonna call her and tell her it's gonna be confusing for her, but I'm sure Chibs isn't in a good state to talk to his sister," I said. "We'll have to wait; Chibs can give you the number," Clay said, and I nodded, knowing this was Chibs call to let me talk to her. I looked around the room, seeing Cherry and Liam standing together arm in arm, and I noticed that Liam had not a bit of dirt or any injuries on his body. He was calm, a little too calm for my taste. I looked back at Chibs, softly releasing his hands getting up from where I was kneeling. Chibs noticed immediately. "Lass?" he softly said, still sniffling from crying, but I didn't answer; I was already walking towards where Liam and Cherry were standing. By the time I reached Liam, he looked up. "Can I help ye?" he asked me when I stopped just inches away from him, feeling my jaw clench. "Yeah." I replied, my voice low. "Riley, what's going on?" Cherry asked softly. I glanced at her for a second. "Where were you?" I asked him. "Excuse me?" Liam asked back, and I moved my weight from one leg to the other. "You heard me." I hissed. "You have not a bit of dirt on you, no injuries on you, so I'm asking you again where you were when the explosion went off." I growled, stepping slightly closer and crossing my arms in front of my chest. Around me, I felt all eyes on me and Liam when I felt a hand on my arm. "What are you doing?" Cherry asked. "Just asking where your Lover was, since seven guys were dead, including my husband's nephew, who was just a boy." I said, slightly raising my voice towards Liam. "Yer accusing me of causing this explosion?" Liam asked. "I'm accusing you of being a complete dickhead and treacherous liar." I hissed.
