Amara's POV:

I stood there frozen, I had expected Charles to be at the door. But it wasn't. My mind went blank and my body froze, unable to process that Marcus stood there smirking at me.

"I warned you Amara. Your mine, whether you've found your true mate or not.." he said, walking closer.

I finally returned to reality when I backed away, glaring. "You need to leave, Charles will be back and then you'll be in more trouble." I stated confidently.

He chuckled, the sound making my confidence waver. "That little man that was 'guarding' your door? I doubt it. He's taking a nap." He moved into the room enough to shut and lock the door behind him.

I felt panic start to rise in me, but instead of looking for a way out I kept my eyes on him. He moved closer, closer until I felt the wall behind me.

He put his hands on either side of my head and I stilled when his breath invaded my nose. I gagged, which was the wrong move. Next I knew my cheek stung, and I winced when I touched it.

"You will never be free Amara... And know I will eliminate anyone and anything in my way.." he paused, his lips brushing against my neck as he leaned forward. "Even your precious mate.. Who has no idea who he's dealing with.."

I stopped breathing, he couldn't... Thomas is strong! "You bluff..." I whispered.

He chuckled and pulled away, pulling his phone out.. he did something then showed me a picture and my heart literally stopped..

The picture is of Thomas dated today, he was bloodied and surrounded by wolves. I gasped for air. "Please...." I whimpered.

Marcus shut his phone and smiled, "I only have to say the word and he's dead, but you agree to leave with me and I will spare him." He said smoothly, I couldn't get the image out of my head of Thomas, I tried mind-linking him but I was blocked out. I bit my lip.

"Times fading Amara.." he said impatiently.

I nodded slowly, "fine but I have your word you won't hurt him." I looked at his cold eyes.

He grinned evilly and nodded, "come. When we leave this territory. Then and only then will I call them off."

I nodded and when he walked, I followed already missing my mate.

Thomas, Thomas I love you... Oh god... I'm scared...

Even though he blocked me, most likely due to him concentrating on fighting I sent it to him anyways..

No one stopped us from leaving, but I wondered where my 'mother' was. I didn't fight Marcus as I slipped into his car. And we began our drive.

It took us a 3 hours to leave the Night Pack Territory...

"We're out, call them off!" I demanded, and he laughed.

"Did you really believe I'd let him live?" He shook his head, and a sob escaped me. "He took something that was mine. And he paid." He said making it sound as if Thomas was already dead.

I screamed, grabbing the steering wheel and jerki g it roughly, making the car jerk to roughly. It seemed to happen slowly, he tried to control the car but he was going to fast and we smashed and rolled sideways into a ditch. My head smashed into the side window then I blacked out.

Thomas's POV:

I left Amara feeling highly frustrated because the issue in my pants wasnt going away. I will kill ever rouge with out hesitation. Maybe then it will help with this frustration.

"Where were they located Brian?" I asked as we headed deeper and deeper into the woods.

"Border patrol said they past the eastern area and are near willow creek." He replied.

I nodded, "shift. Do not separate from one another. When we find them do not hesitate to kill them." I commanded.

The warriors barked there agreement and I shifted, my wolf just a bit smaller than an Alpha but just as strong. I quickly picked up the rouges scent and something was familiar about it but I couldn't place it.

When we found them, the warriors didn't hesitate to attack, I could hear jaws snapping and snarled surrounding me.

It seemed to go on, and on. And I kept having this feeling that something was wrong, and then I felt Amaras fear suddenly it took my by surprise and I lost my focus a rouge sank his teeth into me, his claws slashing. But I easily turned on him and snapped his neck like a twig.

(There is a time skip here, while in this time skip these is fighting.)

I snarled as I became surrounded, but none of them attacked. Why? What are they waiting for?

Then one of them shifted. He was smirking at me and I growled.

"Are you Thomas? Beta of the Night Pack?" The rouge asked, seeming relaxed.

I looked to my warriors and they stood around in fighting mode. I mind-linked Brian.

I'm going to shift. Watch my back. I said.

Got it Beta. He replied.

I shifted into my human form and glared, "I am. Why are you in this territory?" I growled.

He didn't seemed fazed, but laughed instead. I suddenly heard Amaras voice slip past my block.

Thomas, Thomas I love you... Oh god... I'm scared...

I felt my eyes dialate, My rage rising at knowing this was a trap, and regret because I promised to protect her. I failed my mate .. My head snapping up when the rouge chuckled again.

"Seems you may have figured it out.. but it's too late you see.." the rouge shrugged.

I took a step forward, "where is he taking her?!" I yelled. My beast pushing forward, my voice deeper and rougher.

I tried mind-linking Charles but it was blank which meant he was either dead or knocked out.

"I dont know where he is bu-" he stopped his eyes holding that distant look. When he came back he grinned. "He's made it out with her. He's ordered us to finish you off..." he laughed "your mate went willingly." He said.

I growled "she would never!" I said, and commanded everyone to attack. I shifted back and fought with everything I had.

(Time skip)

I stood there panting, looking over the dead rouges. I kept trying to contact Amara but I got nothing. I was scared, I just got her and I didn't want to lose her. There was still so much to learn..

"Get the trackers here. NOW." I yelled.

Alpha.. I needed Blayne to help.

Thomas? Whats up? He asked casually.

I need help... Amara has been kidnapped. I was set up, and he has her Blay damnit he has my mate!!! I said frantically, the panic and fear now taking hold.

Calm down! Blayne ordered. I have spoke to Alpha Ryder. He said that there was a wreck near his border. His wolves have just found it and... it may be Amara... I'll head there with Akira she will know if it's her scent or not. We will find her Thomas. With that he cut the link.

Just in time as the trackers showed up. "My mate has been taken follow me." I was a great tracker even though my rank is Beta. And I will not fail in saving my mate.
