Chapter 2
Dipper's POV
I had to endure so they could stay safe, but the nightmare I had was shocking! I dreamt that I was a beast that was eating Mabel's organs and loving it. I don't even know how I can face her after that but their cage was right across from mine. I felt the instincts get stronger and I noticed something in my Mindscape. I saw a large brown cat-like creature that was sleeping soundly. I felt that provoking it would be fatal so I left it be, but I was tempted to touch it. I then woke up to the sound of footsteps and saw it was Mabel pacing back and forth. Tonight was the Full moon and that was probably what she was thinking about. I felt like I had a fever and a horrible headache. I then asked,"Mabel, what's got you so worried?" She froze at the sound of my voice and turned to face me. "Nothing Dip dot! Everything's fine," she said in a nervous tone. She was a horrible liar. "Mabel, you know you can't lie to me! Our twin sense is telling me that something's off," I said eyeing her as she tried to keep her composure. I scratched at the floor in impatience. "Come on Mabel! Twins don't keep secrets," I said trying to guilt trip her. "I had a nightmare I was being eaten alive by a huge mountain lion," she said spilling the beans. "Mabel, you know you can tell me anything! Even about nightmares," I said before our stomachs growled in unison. Wendy and Soos then woke to the sudden noise. "WHOA! Did Bill let bear in here?" Wendy asked looking in all directions. "No, we're just hungry," I said blushing slightly in embarrassment. Wendy opened her mouth but her stomach growled in answer. Soos' did as well, and it was by far the loudest. Bio floated in and laughed at our misery. "Boy you meat sacks sure are weak! I don't need to obtain energy from plants or animals through digestion," Bill said mocking us. "SHUT IT BILL!" I growled holding my empty stomach. "I'm so hungry I could eat anything," Mabel said holding her stomach as well. "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole deer!" I said then regretting mentioning that. "Well in that case...." Bill said snapping his fingers. A young buck appeared in front of us, with tiny nubs for antlers. I felt my mouth water at the sight and I grasped the bars. It hurt like Hell but I didn't care. Bill was taking notes on my reaction and I'm pretty sure Mabel said something. I then pushed the bars apart with little to no effort, and let instinct take over.
Wendy's POV
Dipper's eyes turned yellow the second the deer appeared. It was confused and walked towards the open window. I then turned back to Dipper and saw he was holding the bars. I was about to tell him to stop but Mabel beat me to the punch. "Dipper snap out of it!" She said as we watched him put pressure on the bars. Bill was taking notes on his behavior for who knows what, and we couldn't reach him. Dipper pushed the bars apart like they were rubber, and got on all fours. He crouched down low and started slowly towards the deer. His paw pad like feet made little to no sound as he prepared to pounce. "DIPPER NO!" I yelled making the deer turn around. But I was too late, Dipper had already pinned it. The deer thrashed around and tried to stop him from doing it, but he had a surprising amount of strength. He used his sharp fangs and went straight for the neck, like he'd done this lots of times before. Bill laughed as blood poured from the poor creature's neck. Dipper dug his claws into it's neck to make it bleed faster. It finally went limp, and Dipper went towards it's flank. He then sank his teeth into it and tore out a huge chunk of flesh. He then ate bite after bite of the deer until he was full. "So, how did you enjoy your first prey pine tree?" Bill asked hovering over him. Dipper then snapped out of it and looked horrified at the corpse in front of him. "I can't believe I just....... I'm gonna be sick!" Dipper said as his normal eyes widened in disbelief. He threw up every last bit of deer he had eaten.
Dipper's POV
I can't believe I ate a deer! I threw up on the spot and kept gagging even after my stomach was empty. "Aw, and I thought you were hungry you little ingrate! But the notes I took will help greatly, so I guess I can let this slide. I'll even give your friends cheese sandwiches," Bill said snapping his fingers. Then three cheese sandwiches appeared in front of them, and Wendy was the first to check it. After inspecting it inside and out, she took a bite. "It's safe guys!" she said taking another bite. Mabel and Soos ate theirs quickly as Bill watched me. Y stomach was aching from throwing up that much meat. I then noticed I was still outside my cage, and bolted for the window. The keys were on the sill and I grabbed them quickly, even though they were lined with silver. I then ran back and saw Bill taking more notes, this was my chance! I quickly shoved the key in the lock and opened the door. "Nice job Dipper!" Wendy said as they ran out of the cage. As we bolted for the door Bill snapped his fingers. We were also teleported back to our cages and the key was burned. "How dare you try to leave before your first full moon! I'll forgive you only because I wanna see how you get affected afterwards," Bill said as I stared out the window. I saw the moon was rising and gulped. My friends all screamed at Bill and pleaded with him, but I heard none of it. I sat like a housecat would and watched it rise, entranced by the sight. Then came the pain,oh boy the pain! It felt like I was turning inside out on the sun! Bill took diligent notes as my body started changing. I heard my own bones crack and reshape themselves as I screamed in pain. My teeth sharpened and my claws grew larger and sharper. The pain became so unbearable that I started to cry. My screams turned to growls as fur grew all over my body. I felt myself slipping away, and that thing I saw in my mind take over. I slipped into a deep dark abyss, where there was no light or sound.
Mabel's POV
When his suffering stopped my brother backed into the corner of his cage, he looked at everything scared. I know a lot about cats so I could understand his body language, he was saying that he was feral and unstable. "So pine tree, how's it feel being a full blown monster?" Bill asked floating close to my brother. Dipper didn't seem to understand the words, but his voice put him on edge. He puffed up his fur in an attempt at intimidation, and bared his fangs to make Bill back off. Bill only took notes on this and pulled out the silver baton again. "Do you remember this pine tree?" Bill asked ass he put it close to his face. Dipper's yellow eyes widened in fear, he must remember the pain that thing brought him. He backed up until his back brushed up against some bars, he winced in pain. Bill whacked Dipper with the silver weapon and floated away to take more notes. Dipper was really made now, he looked like he'd kill anything and everything that moved. "Dipper are you alright?" I asked worried for his health. When he looked at me something must have clicked because his body relaxed and his tail flicked contently. This got Bill's attention as he turned to me and asked, "How did you do that shooting star?" "What can I say, I have a way with cats," I said shrugging. He looked interested and put me in the same cage as Dipper. Dipper turned to me and started to rub his side against my leg. He purred loudly and his tail twitched in joy. I then stroked his back ever so gently and found he enjoyed it. I then scratched that sweet shoots all cats have and he practically melted to the floor. I kneeled down so I could pet him more and noticed he looked just like the creature from my dream. But obviously Dipper wouldn't hurt me, he still remembers some things. I then heard him meow, but it sounded a lot like Mabel. "Dipper, can you hear me?" I asked as Bill took lots of notes in the background. Dipper looked up at me and his once feral eyes held a look of understanding. "M-Mabel," he said sitting down. I let out a sound of joy and hugged him lightly. I know how to treat cats so they love me, which is why I didn't give him a bear hug like I usually would. "Mabel!" he said almost like he could remember.
He then looked at me curiously and I saw his fur was lessening. I smiled and said, "Dipper! You remember! Can you tel me what you remember?" "It got dark, really dark! And then I saw a cat-like creature like last night in my dream. It walked right past me and looked mad and in pain, but then again so did I. I heard Bill and I got even more mad, and then I felt lots of pain. After that I saw a little light and heard your voice. The cold of the void went away so it felt so warm, I felt safe! Then there was more light and the cat came back, but it was happy for some reason. We met and then I talked to you," Dipper said explaining his experience. Bill was still taking notes, and he seemed happy. "Thanks shooting star! I now have everything I need to make pine tree mine," Bill said floating closer to us. He tried to do the ear scratch thing but Dipper only growled and puffed up his fur. He growled and his eyes turned animalistic again. He stood in between me and Bill, his stance now defensive and stiff. He clawed at Bill until I put my hand on his back. He shivered and his fur went back down again, his stance now relaxed as I stroked his back. The human Dipper liked it when I snuck up behind him while he was reading the journal and rubbed his back a bit, so this made sense. Bill seemed shocked at this but wrote down more notes. It took a few minutes of coaxing Dipper to snap out of it after what Bill did. Even the. He was still glaring at Bill and a little too furry. "Dipper, don't look at him. Look at me Dipdop," I said in a soothing tone as I stood in front of him. He finally relaxed all the way and his eyes were normal. He was still in his full cat form, but his mind was there. "Sorry Mabel, he just pissed me off and I lost it," Dipper said as his tail flicked up and down, like a pet waiting to be scolded. Instead I sat down next to him and rubbed his back, he liked that. "How does that work? When I tired pine tree snapped at me, but when you do it he loves you," Bill said trying to understand. "It's based on trust Bill. Dipper has trouble trusting everyone, but that just makes him put more faith in the ones he does. He doesn't trust you at all Bill, so he won't let you do things like he will me, plus I am amazing with cats. So that just puts the cherry on top," I said petting Dipper while explaining. He nodded in agreement but was probably not listening all the way. "I see, so I'll just have to find another way to get him to what I want, like fear," Bill said pulling out the baton. Dipper shivered at the sight of it and backed away from Bill. Bill came forth and smacked Dipper's snout, causing his eyes to turn yellow again. He was so mad he grew longer claws and swiped at Bill's eye. Bill laughed and hit Dipper repeatedly. I jumped I. Front of him to protect him but Bill knocked me out if the way with the weapon. I hit the bars and my nose started bleeding. Dipper saw and he was shaking with rage. "B-Bill... I'M GONNA RIP YOU TO SHREDS!!!!" Dipper growled as his eyes glowed in the shadows. His fangs were sharper than ever and he looked slightly bigger than before. Bill looked shocked but took notes. Dipper then tackled the bars and they torn away like paper. Dipper was enraged, he jumped onto the wall and pushed off from it. He landed on Bilk and torn him apart. Bill was actually screaming in pain now, and demon blood was everywhere. Dipper sank his fangs unto the demon's flesh and made deep gashes. His claws made them into divides as he literally tore Bill apart. Some bits of him landed near the cages, others by the window, and Dipper crushed his eye under his paw. We were horrified by what we saw, but also relieved.
Then a flash of blue flames blinded everyone, and Bill floated there intact. "Wow pine tree, all that from just shooting star having a nose bleed! I'm impressed at your rage, but you need to learn how to use it to your advantage. Sure tearing me apart was good and all, but you forgot to take out my hand. Thus I live! Now time to punish you," Bill said as he turned red during the last part. Dipper tried to run but Bill froze him. He then beat Dipper multiple times and put him back in the cage with me. He repaired it and the Sun rose. He had beaten Dipper for hours. After the first rays of Sun Dipper turned back, and Bill put new clothes on him to hide the huge scars. Dipper was unconscious for a while and I stared at him while thinking about things. I should have done more! Maybe he'd be fine right now if I had just let him hurt me, or maybe if I hadn't made that deal we wouldn't be hereat all! No Mabel that's no way to think, you've got to stay positive. For Dipper! I thought as my mind debated against itself. Dipper's ear flicked and he shifted. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding when he opened his eyes. Those brown eyes filled me with joy, I was happy they weren't yellow. He tried to stand up but he fell down onto the cold floor. "Ow everything hurts," he said upon hitting the ground. I helped him into a sitting position and scratched behind his ear to help him relax a little. This was all I could do, but it was enough. He smiled at me and purred softly, making me laugh a bit. The mood was lifted and the others laughed as well. We needed this after yesterday's events, and everything was fine for that one moment, but then that moment ended.
