Chapter 45
I sat down on the couch with a small sigh of relief and tucked my legs underneath me, watching as everyone else walked over to the other couches and sat down, too.
My grandmother sat down on the couch beside me and patted my leg, lovingly while I looked at her. She looked at Drew when he walked over to us and watched as he sat on the floor in front of me, resting his head against the cushion and my legs.
"Seriously?" Sheamus asked and raised an eyebrow in question, looking very shocked. He looked between Drew and me, pressing his lips into a thin line and bit the inside of his lip.
"What?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question while I looked at him. "What is with the "seriously," Sheamus?"
"Well, last Friday, or whatever Friday we had done this, you were on the floor in front of Drew and now he is on the floor in front of you. Why?"
"Why not?" Drew asked and raised an eyebrow in question. "Is there something wrong with that?"
"No," Shemaus said after he hesitated just a tad with a shake of his head. "I just find it strange because there are many couches for everyone as well as a few mats on the floor for others to lay down on, so why would you sit there instead?"
"Because I want to," he said and shrugged while he grimaced. "And I am also comfortable sitting right here." He lifted his head just a tad so that he would be able to look at me and smirk. "Are you comfortable, Sweetcheeks?" he asked and raised an eyebrow in question.
I held back an eye roll while I pressed my lips into a thin line. I didn't say a word to him while I turned my attention to the tv, grabbing the remote from beside me.
"Sweetcheeks?" my grandmother asked with a small chuckle of amusement in her voice. She raised an eyebrow in question while she looked between the two of us with something in her eyes. "Why "Sweetcheeks," Dear?" she asked and looked at me, patting my leg again.
I shrugged and grimaced. "I have no idea, Grams," I said before I cleared my throat and shifted on my feet. "He has been calling me that for a while now."
"It's like how she keeps calling me "Cupcake," Mrs. Prescott," Drew said looking at her, biting back a small smile. "That is my nickname for her."
My grandmother chuckled and patted his head, and Drew closed his eyes and wrinkled his nose in annoyance. "Grams is fine, Dear," she said while she tucked her head closer to her chest with a small smile on her face. "Everyone calls me Grams, so you may as well."
Callie opened her mouth before she closed it. She didn't say a word and shifted in her seat, looking between me and her brother before she looked at my grandmother with wide eyes.
My grandmother smiled and tucked her head closer to her chest while she looked at Calle. "And what is your name, Dear?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question. "It seems to me that my granddaughters are not being good hosts."
I held back an eye roll and pressed my lips into a thin line. "Her name is Callie, Grams," I said. "She is Topher's younger sister." I gestured to Marcus, who was staring at us with an intense look in his eyes that made me feel very uncomfortable and nervous. "That is Marcus. He is Cupcake's best friend."
My grandmother nodded in greeting with a small smile on her face. "Now, does Marcus live here, too?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question while she looked at me from looking at him.
"No, Ma'am," Marcus said, interrupting me while he shook his head. "Unfortunately, I do not live here." He looked at me and grinned when he saw me narrowing my eyes and scowling at him before he looked at my grandmother. "I have not been asked if I wanted to live here or not."
I rolled my eyes and scowled. "You haven't even asked if you could stay here or not," I said before I leaned back in my seat. "Or you could have been like Cupcake and just upped and moved in here without my consent."
"You could have kicked me out," Drew said and looked at me. He smirked and winked, and his eyes danced a little in a way that almost took my breath away. "However, you haven't done that for some reason."
I didn't respond and shrugged, holding back an eye roll.
"Well, can we start a movie?" Sheamus asked and looked between the three of us before he looked at me while changing the subject. "Please? I would like to start something before the pizza gets here."
I held back another eye roll and pressed my lips into a thin line while I folded my arms across my chest, not saying a word.
"Has the pizza been ordered?" Topher asked while he looked between all of us before he looked at me. "Or did Wallace order it?"
"I am sure that Wally ordered it when he saw that everyone was here," I said. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and sent a quick message to Wally to see if he had ordered the pizza and if he ordered some for the staff that lived here.
"Why didn't you order it yourself?" Sheamus asked, and I glanced at him from the corner of my eye. "I mean, you do it most times anyway. Are you making him pay?"
"Yes, he is paying, but he is using my card," I said, holding back an eye roll while I pressed my lips into a thin line. "Also, he told me that he was going to order it, and he wouldn't take no for an answer."
"Hmph." Sheamus rolled his eyes and scowled. He didn't say another word and folded his arms across his chest.
"So that leaves what movie are we going to watch?" Ethan asked. He rolled his eyes at Sheamus before he looked at me. "Or are we going to watch more of Harry Potter because we haven't finished it yet?"
"Please don't," Drew said with a small groan in his voice. He folded his arms across his chest and scowled, leaning his head against the seat again. "I don't need to watch any more of it, no matter how interested you all are in it."
"Good, we then we should watch a movie of yours and criticize your acting," I said and looked at Drew, and he looked up at me and scowled, and I couldn't help but smile at him innocently.
"Very funny, Sweetcheeks," Drew grumbled. "Like you have any movies that I am in."
"But there is a thing called streaming," Eevie said, and I nodded in agreement, "or through Amazon, and I know for a fact that some of your movies are on there."
"Can we not watch something girly, though?" Sheamus asked with a small groan in his voice while he leaned his head against the back of the couch. "Why can't we watch something action packed and gorey?"
"Please, no," Callie said and shook her head, her voice barely above a whisper. Her whole face grew pale, and she stared at us with wide eyes. "I do not want to see something bloody or gorey."
"And we won't," I said, shaking my head with a small promise in my voice. "We will find something that everyone wants to watch." I tucked my head closer to my chest. "You have my word."
"Just not Harry Potter and something something," Drew said while he looked at me with a small smirk on his face, and I held back an eye roll and scowled.
"Shut up, Cupcake," I said with a shake of my head, becoming very annoyed with him. "For the love of God, just shut up."
Drew looked at me and smiled, the smile looking very different to me for some reason, and it took my breath away while I stared at him.
Oh, shit...
"Not in a million years, Sweetcheeks," he said with a small hum in his voice while he tucked his head closer to his chest. "Not in a million years."
