-Chapter Five-
The hunters themselves were not the only ones busy at night. The vampire lords were also wide awake. Enjoying themselves in their personal luxury. With servants to do with as they pleased, for they could always be replaced. The delicate hands held together and fingers slipping with her silent cries swallowed away from the loss of strength.
The woman fumbled to the floor and the count sat down with a sigh smiling as he licked his lips. He was one of the youngest. Naive ones. Sadistically so. He smiled his tongue wrapping around his pointer finger as he sucked on it savor int the sweet taste. He sat with his legs crossed and back against the arm chair like a child.
He smirked teeth showing as his half bastard brother walked in with that round top hat and walking cane to support his limp.
They were both Counts but Dimitri thought of himself as higher and more superior to his bastard brother Lucas. He hated him, but Lucas was fun pick on. That's why he kept him around, but Dimitri couldn't kill him. Lucas was immortal. Dimitri hated his mother for having had a fling with another count after his father was mysteriously killed two hundred years ago but this Reverend. But Dimitri hated his father too. Dimitri hated everyone.
"So the bastard returns to bask in my glory", he giggled.
"Count Morgan is dead", said Lucas.
"That gloat! Ha! I was wondering when he was going to die of old age!", laughed Dimitri naively.
"My men found him in your region, and he didn't die of old age", said Lucas snapping his fingers. The halfling slaves brought the bag forward carrying it by two and dropped it. The sound of bones clattered and the object sounded frail. Dimitri leaned forward eyes narrowed. It didn't smell like Count Morgan. In fact he couldn't smell anything.
"There isn't anything to smell Dimitri, he's dead. I've spent years researching and still-",
Dimitri yawned bored already, "I don't care what a bastard has to say. Take this thing away, I don't care what becomes of the weakling", said Dimitri.
"They say they've found him", said Lucas.
Dimitri smirked, "Who?", he asked not really caring.
"Van Helsing", said Lucas.
Dimitri's eyes glittered and his fingers curled tighter and he sat up intrigued now by this, "You were supposed to get a letter, but clearly it didn't make it.....so I came to give you another.....", said Lucas tossing it forward and Dimitri snatched it aggressively suddenly fueled with a sense of glee.
"But since the first didn't make it.....there isn't any doubt the hunters have the same knowledge now and are already on their way", said Lucas.
Dimitri sneered reading the letter, "Even better.....they wouldn't send just any hunter to retrieve Van Helsing.....this will be loads of fun", he laughed standing. "Have fun cleaning up the mess brother", he laughed. "it will be a good one", he added laughing as Dimitri walked off.
Lucas glared at Dimitri clenching his cane tightly and stormed off. His brother knew how to press him. As the door shut Lucas snapped his cane with his leg.
"That insolent!", he hissed his teeth growing and eyes silting. He hated being Dimitri's little lap dog! He hated it! Always having to suck up! That naive little.....beast! He was an utter burden! The High Vampire Lord didn't care for Dimitri or Lucas. They were too low within the ranks to care about. They were again just two of the many vampires.
And Lucas was even lower than Dimitri. He did all the cleaning up. And it angered him every time because Dimitri was lazy.
