-Chapter Four-

Reverend walked out of the war room her hands at her sides. She the gems and intricate golden details on her leather wrist straps were loosening. She raised it still in step pulling the strings fixing it.

"Reverend! Reverend! Wait!", called Snyder aggressively.

Reverend turned stopping still fixing her strap looking up as her long fingers worked. Snyder could see her sharp nails that were pristine and clean. This was the infamous Reverend. The first.....vampire hunter. Vampire of vampires.

"Well?", asked Reverend as he didn't speak.

"What do you intend to walk there?", asked Snyder.

"No, do you intend to walk?", asked Reverend.

Synder scoffed, "I may have enhanced speed but I can't last, it's a four days ride from here. On foot....,that will take much longer", said Snyder.

"For you, not for me", said Reverend.

"How fast can you get there?", asked Snyder.

"Alone, two nights", said Reverend. "In total one day", she clarified. "But I can already tell you don't intend to be left here alone and let me go on my own as I would prefer-",

"Why do you want to go on your own?", asked Snyder.

"You are a halfling, I am a vampire, there is a grave difference between our assets", said Reverend.

"Are you saying I will slow you down?", challenged Snyder.

"At this moment you are", hissed Reverend back at Snyder glancing her eyes silting.

"Look, I want to help, and even average vampires can't get there-" Reverend walked off making Snyder stop his sentence. He curled his fists. How could- utterly rude!

"Quit getting angry and come get the steads ready with me", said Reverend. She wasn't one to argue. She wasn't in the mood to argue.
