Chapter 8
A vision clouded into Stormpaw's dream. A dark gray she cat lay bleeding on her side, and a pale yellow tom was splayed on the ground, a pool of blood trickling from his head. A black tom stood in between them both. A dark gray kit mewled next to the she cat.
"Thunderheart... please don't do this!" The she-cat gasped. "You didn't have to kill Dawnsplash!" She pleaded. Thunderheart swiped a claw at her muzzle.
"Oh, Shadowfall, you'll never understand," Thunderheart sneered.
"At least... don't hurt... Stormkit.." She choked out as Thunderheart raised his paw for the death blow.
The vision began to fade away, only to be replaced with another.
Thunderheart marched into camp, carrying Stormkit. "Dawnsplash and Shadowfall are dead," He croaked, faking sadness. "I found Stormkit crying in a fox-hole." He nuzzled a pale gray she cat with brown spots. "Will you take care of her, Pinetail?"
"Well-uh," She stammered. Stormkit's cries grew louder. "I-I guess so..." Although her words sounded certain, a shadow of doubt flickered across her face.
A white and gray tom leapt down from Highledge, followed by a golden-brown she cat.
"Where are the bodies?" The tom demanded.
"Graystar, Heathercloud," Thunderheart dipped his head. "I buried them by the ShadowClan border, where I found them. They stank of ShadowClan, with the scent of fox mingled on them."
"Well how did Stormkit get in a fox den?" Heathercloud prompted.
"I don't know. I traced her scent inside the ShadowClan border, and I'm guessing they left her there to die."
The vision faded away, to be replaced with yet another one.
Thunderheart sat on Highledge in the dead of night, gazing down at ThunderClan.
"I swear by StarClan,-no, the Dark Forest. I swear by the Dark Forest that I will kill them all..."
His gaze rested on the nursery. "Especially you, Stormkit...I should have killed you with your parents."
Stormpaw jolted awake. Shafts of moonlight shone through the entrance of the apprentices' den. She glanced at each of her denmates. "Who would've known..." She murmured. Thoughts of doubt crossed her mind as sleep began to claim her once more.
"Maybe it was just a dream..."

"Stormpaw!" A paw began prodding her. "Wake up!"
Stormpaw blinked awake. "Dawn patrol!" Mudpaw growled. "Now!"
"Alright, alright," She mumbled. "I'm coming."
"It's just you, me and Applefoot." He mewed.
She rose to her paws, shaking with exhaustion. "Where are we patrolling?"
"The WindClan border." He simply replied.
Stretching, she closed her eyes. Pain suddenly shot into her. Stormpaw opened her eyes, and Mudpaw was licking a few drops of blood off his claws.
"What was that for?" She yelped.
"Stop standing around!" He snarled. Quickly she ran out of the den.
"I just woke up," She yowled back in defense. "There was no need for that!" She hissed under her breath in annoyance, before looking around for Featherfall. He was nowhere in sight.
Stormpaw sighed. Mudpaw strolled out of the den, pausing to give his chest a brisk lick.
"And you thought I was taking to long," She remarked. "You sure took your time!"
"And I'm not the smallest apprentice, so I have longer legs." He retorted.
"Fine." She mumbled. "Let's just go then."

Stormpaw stopped, and leaned down to take a drink from the stream. Something knocked against her, throwing her head first into the water. She screeched in panic as something heavy landed on her neck, keeping her from the surface, but only drew in a mouthful of water. A clump of soggy wet fur flew past her, and she managed to pick of the fading scent of Mudpaw.
She tried to screech again, twisting and writhing under the weight that was holding her down.
For a moment it lifted, and Stormpaw took the chance to resurface before being pushed back under. In that moment she saw that Applefoot was unconscious in a growing pool of blood, and Mudpaw was gone. A dark gray, almost black, face was staring into hers. Thunderheart! She realized with a start.
"Every step you take," He started, "Every move you make. Every breath you take, I'll be watching you."
She wanted to scream, but she risked taking in more water. Forcing herself to twist around to face the surface, starting to become dizzy, she unsheathed her claws and pushed them towards the black mound holding her down. The weight lifted, probably caught by surprise, and she used that time to get to the surface and claw her way onto the bank.
Thunderheart met Stormpaw's eye from WindClan's side of the border. He smirked as she let out a low growl.
"Technically I'm not on ThunderClan territory!" He crowed, bounding away into the hills.
"And don't come back!" She yowled after him.
He stopped, a gleam in his eye.
"Oh, you don't know anything."
Help me!!! I want to update as much as I can over Thanksgiving break, but I have no idea what to do for chapter nine! Can y'all give me suggestions in the comments?? Nothing that has to do with trouble caused by Thunderheart would be appreciated. Thanks!
