XXVII.
I love you in a way that could swallow the sun,
With teeth bared, a hunger that's never undone.
You fill every hollow, each crevice and seam,
A feast for my craving, a banquet of dreams.
I'd break you to pieces, bite down on your bones,
Devour your sweetness, your marrow, your soul.
But darling, I starve—your pulse I'll revere,
For love that consumes is a love wrapped in fear.
