Chapter Five
Third POV
Harry woke to his magic prodding him. He sat up, groaning when he felt pain slice through his back and lower areas. He reached up to card through his hair, and his hand came away slick with white liquid. Harry's face filled with disgust as he remembered the terrible pain that filled him, even more so than was normal when he got abused. Harry felt the comforting thump of his tail against his stomach, and realized that his glamour had come undone again. He sighed and quickly cast a tempus spell, noting that he only had ten minutes before the portkey to Gringotts activated. Harry silently thanked his magic and Merlin as he jolted out of bed and quietly raced into the bathroom, taking a shower in three minutes. He stepped out and dried himself off before brushing his teeth quickly, not caring that his incisors were a lot sharper and longer than normal. Harry rushed back to his room, careful not to wake his 'relatives' and grabbed the best clothes Dudley gave him, though they were still way too big, stained, and rumpled, from the closet. After he was dressed, the Great Horned owl flew down from it's perch on the top shelf in his closet and nipped at Harry's ear worriedly. He gently pet the top of it's head as it nuzzled him. Careful of the creature on his shoulder, Harry quickly fished the portkey out from underneath his bed. Just in time, it may seem, as the letter shimmered and Harry felt himself being pulled by the navel to his next destination.
Harry felt his wings instinctively snap open to balance him as he fell from above, lighting him gently on the polished tile that is Gringotts' entrance hall. It was a good thing it was so early in the morning, Harry realized, as no one saw his appendages. Every goblins' full attention was on him, and he grew scared as he involuntarily kneeled with his head against his chest, arms straight at his sides, all appendages- par his antlers- drooping down against his body. All of the goblin's smiled kindly at the scared submissive in front of them, realizing that this was not a threat at all, but something to be protected. A goblin walked up to Harry, though he could barely see past the goblin's waist, and chuckled kindly. The goblin gently grabbed the owl off of Harry's shoulder before saying something in Gobbledegook- that Harry had no hopes of translating- and the submissive felt the stares on his person ebb away. "Come, Mr. Potter. We have much to discuss." Harry nodded and stood up, quietly following the goblin he could now identify as Griphook, his vaults' manager, to his office. Upon entering, Harry stood uneasily off to the side as Griphook took a seat. When he saw Harry standing there, Griphook tsked in a motherly way. "Come now Mr. Potter, have a seat." Harry mumbled a quiet thanks and sat down lightly in his seat. "Happy eighteenth birthday Mr. Potter." Harry's head whipped up in shock, and a small gasp escaped his lips. "Th-thank you Mr. Griphook, sir." Griphook sighed sadly and waved his hand. "Nonsense, Mr. Potter. Call me Griphook. Enough of this 'sir' business." Harry felt his eyes prickle a little, but he forced the tears down. "Thank you Griphook. Then please, call me Harry." Griphook nodded, a pleased smile on his face. "Of course Harry. Now, we are here to speak of your inheritance, as I believe you already know." He eyed Harry's antlers pointedly. "But Griphook, I did not receive these last night. My tail, wings, and antlers were there about four weeks ago." Griphook's eyebrows furrowed, but he gave a worn sigh. "Harry, would you be able to tell me what happened to prompt these changes then?" Harry's eyes widened, prickling with tears once more. One traitorous tear trickled down his cheek and he outwardly cringed at the feeling of weakness. Harry opened his mouth, but closed it again, as more tears fell. "I could cast a diagnostic spell if it was physical. Would you like that?" Harry nodded, twisting his fingers in his lap. Griphook's eyes softened as he cast the spell, until he realized just how long a list the wounds were. Hard-eyed and determined, Griphook quickly skimmed through the list, not wanting his dominant side to control his actions should he scare the submissive in front of him. Starting the night of his parents' death, Harry was only hit a few times when he was younger, until three, when he first got beaten by Vernon, that of which got increasingly worse until his eleventh birthday where he would only be beaten in the summer- save for the several school incidents- until recently, when he was raped and terribly abused constantly up until this night. Griphook silently slipped the parchment into his pocket to share with the other goblins as soon as possible. The high elders needed to hear of this. Harry watched his every move with fear, afraid of being sent back without answers, or worse, beaten here. Griphook let his anger slip away as he lightly watched the trembling submissive in front of him, and he sighed as his dominant fought harder for control. "Everything is going to be alright Harry. I will do everything I can to fix the situation with you relatives, but, as for your creature inheritance, I have a theory, but we will need you to take an inheritance test in order to prove it wrong or right. This test will also show us your heirships and lordships. Would you please put three droplets of your blood into this inkwell?" Harry shakily nodded and brought his pointer finger up to his left incisor, brushing it along the sharp bottom of the tooth until he tasted blood. Harry carefully dropped three droplets into the inkwell and sucked on his finger as Griphook dropped a black liquid- most likely a potion- into the same inkwell. He took a quill out of his top desk drawer and swirled the liquids together until the pen lightly lifted out of Griphook's hand and into the air. It started daintily writing out Harry's results on a piece of parchment coincidently placed on top of Griphook's desk. It took a good ten minutes to write it all, but Harry was entranced by the floating quill writing out all of his personal information. While this was happening, Griphook took the time to truly study the young Potter, and it disturbed him as to how easy it was to see that he was abused. No young man should be as small as Harry was, or as thin. If Griphook could look close enough, he could even see silvery scars running up his neck and down his wrists, only just slightly seen under his worn, too-big clothing. After the quill gently floated to land on the desk, Griphook gently handed the parchment to Harry, not bothering to look at it for himself. Harry read it for a while, often re-reading lines and not comprehending. By the end of the document, Harry had tears in his eyes and disbelief on his face. He looked at Griphook with shock and a strangled noise came from his throat. "Wh-what...?"
