Chapter Thirty-One
THIRD POV
Happy new year!
In the silence, Selene's stomach gave a small growl as it contracted from lack of food. "My Lord, I don't mean to interrupt anything, but could you spare me a few leftover morsels?" Harry looked at the little queen with concern before glancing at the grandfather clock, eyes widening and hair changing to cyan. "Oh, of course! We probably should have dinner around now anyway. We spent a long time with Griphook." Tom nodded as he lead Severus, Draco, and Harry to the dinning room. 'Yes, I am hungry as well, my Lord.' The Nature Lord glanced up at his raven quickly before entering the room. 'Don't worry, I'll get you some food too.' A small sound of thanks drifted from above Harry's head as he gently set Selene down, only for Tom to smoothly scoop her back up, much to Harry's exasperation, but he only softly shook his head and took off his outer robes, pushing up his sleeves. "What should I make for dinner?" Tom and Severus smiled as a small 'pop' sounded in the room, startling the two submissives. "Nos! Thats be whats wez doin's! Little Master no makes foods!" Harry looked at the little creature- that came up to his mid-stomach, he realized- with confusion. "Why can't I? Did you already make the dinner?" The elf's bald head bobbed up and down frustratedly, while he crossed his arms. "Yes! Luffy hases already maded you's dinners!" Harry smiled kindly and pulled his sleeves back down. "Well then, I can't argue with you, Luffy. I apologize for almost making all of your hard work for nothing. What delightful meal did you make for us?" A beaming smile flew onto the elf's face as he realized the little wizard wasn't going to yell at him or ignore his attempts to work for his family. "Luffy, Tulky, and Maky maded fishes and chips with piccalillis. Ises this alright?" Harry bent slightly and gave the elf a hug, being careful not to hurt to little thing with his wings, claws, or antlers. "Of course Luffy, that'd be wonderful. I'm sure it will taste divine as well." The elf seemed to blush before he disappeared from within Harry's arms with a 'pop', leaving plates of food on the table for the snake, raven, and mates' ingestion. Chuckling, the naturally-colored haired Harry gracefully sat in a chair near the fish and chips, with Severus and Tom on his left, Draco on his right, and Selene and the raven in front of him. A small gasp left his mouth as Harry realized he never asked the name of his familiar. 'I have no name, my Lord.' Draco threw Harry a concerned look, stopping his grabbing for the piccalilli. "What's wrong petit?" Harry gave a small smile towards Draco, basking in the feeling of love and care emanating from his mates for a few moments. "It is nothing my lion. It is only that I need to find a name for my familiar, as she was never granted one." Tom hummed quietly as Severus daintily put down his fork. Harry also hummed as he furrowed his brows in thought. A few moments passed before Draco chuckled. "Do you want us to help you with names?" Harry looked at Draco with a raised eyebrow, causing the blonde to laugh aloud. "I'm thinking along the lines of clever in a different language, or smart, or lovely, or mischievous..." Harry's raven ruffled her wings in indignation. 'I'll have you know, my Lord, that I most certainly am not mischievous.' Harry closed his eyes and stuck his tongue out in rebuttal, giggling at her huff. "What about Sournois?" A small shake of the raven's head dismissed the name. "Onyx?" Another strike out. "Regium?"
"Magnus?"
"Summas?"
"Regalis?"
"Celsus?"
"Velox?"
"Chic?"
"Malin?"
"Habile?"
"Vite?"
"Callidus?" Harry felt a smile spread across his face as the raven cawed, opening her wings. "You like that name?" 'Yes, my Lord. It is a fit name and description.' Harry jumped up and hugged Severus, giving him a quick peck on the cheek before quickly going back to his seat. Tom smirked at the vampire who was frozen in place, filled with shock just as Draco had been. "Why do you all keep rubbing faces?" Harry giggled at Selene's innocent question, even as a small blush came back to his face. "Why, it's because when people have strong positive feelings for one another, they usually want to express it. The emotions- called love- usually cause the people involved to kiss each other, as love is a thing to be cherished." 'In other words, it's a temporary claiming of sorts.' Selene gave a small hiss of understanding before swallowing the rest of her fish and slithering over to Harry. 'You can talk to Selene?' Callidus nodded, grabbing a crumb of cracker off of Harry's plate. 'Of course, she is your familiar, as am I. She just has yet to bond with you though...' Harry made a small sound of amazement before allowing Selene onto his left hand as she curled around his palm. 'It also helps that all animals can understand each other in the most basic of body language and sounds.' Harry smiled and gently pet Callidus' neck in thanks. "What was that?" Tom smiled as Harry blushed again. "Selene was only asking why we were 'rubbing our faces together', as she so eloquently put it." Severus smirked as Draco chuckled, pecking Harry's forehead. Suddenly, all of the plates disappeared and the dominants stood up. Draco lightly stretched while Tom tried to fight back a yawn. "Come Draco, you can sleep with me tonight." Harry cast a quick glance at Severus, only to see him give a small smile and nod. A small burden lifted off his shoulders, knowing his Zorro wouldn't tell his other mates of his night terrors. He only hoped they wouldn't treat him any differently. Severus understood, but what about his lion? The blonde hadn't had a terrible life like he did. Maybe not the best, but definitely not torture... "Come on Karus, let's go to bed." Harry nodded as Severus gently lifted the delicate being. Callidus cawed softly and flew onto Harry's antlers again, not wanting to be left behind. Severus quickly and quietly walked the halls before entering the room and tiredly transfigured their clothes to sleeping attire, placing their wands on the side table. Harry hummed a soft tune as his Zorro covered him up, his brain slowly falling into dream land. Severus smiled to himself as he too laid down, feeling the sounds soften his thoughts and settle his entire being. Somehow, Severus knew this night would be their first restful night in a while.
