Chapter Tweny-Seven
THIRD POV
Harry opened his eyes to spy an odd scene. There was Death, sitting at a table, drinking tea with a lady in a skintight suit. "Hello Master Hadrian. It is good to see you again, though the situation could have been more pleasant. Why don't you come sit down?" Harry sighed and nodded, walking over to gracefully sit down in a chair next to Death, facing the unknown lady. "Master, this is Lady Starheart. She is the energy that you interacted with upon putting on her ring." Harry raised an eyebrow and nodded towards her. "Hello Lady Starheart, may I ask why your ring flew onto my finger and acted the way it did?" The Lady hummed and put down her tea, piercing Harry's eyes with her own. "Yes, you may. Lord Hadrian, my ring chose to be worn by you because you are the next defender of the Wizarding World. The magic of where I came from has been corrupted, destroyed, and forgotten. I had been laying dormant in that vault for hundreds of years before I found you- one of the last true defenders of innocents." Harry grimaced and took a sip of tea Death had offered him to have time to create an answer. "I apologize for the destruction of your old home. But, why come to me? Draco, Tom, or Severus are all the same as I am. I do not want this power." A blinding smile appeared on Lady Starheart's face. "That is exactly why I chose you. Somewhere deep inside of your three mates lies an innate emotion that hungers for power, even though they do not act on it. It is something found in most beings, but is oddly lacking for you. I wish to offer my assistance to those who will not abuse it, and you are incapable of even thinking such a thing." Death gently set down his cup of tea as well, settling his nonexistent gaze on Harry. "What she is trying to say, Master, is that she is offering you another way to protect your mates. By giving you more power, you will have a little bit easier of a time taking the Wizarding World out from underneath Dumbledore's feet, and protecting your mates will also be simpler. The only question is, do you accept?" With an earthshaking sigh, Harry let his shoulders droop as he stared at his tea cup. "I have no choice, do I?" Lady Starheart also sighed, taking another delicate sip of her tea. "There is always a choice, young Hadrian." Harry scoffed and straightened his back, staring straight at the foreign being he was about to welcome into his life. "Then, yes. I accept your offer of more power." Harry missed the proud smiles that he received from Death and Starheart as his world drowned back down to green energy.
Draco worriedly stared at his unconscious mate as he hovered next to the green energy ball, flapping his wings and clutching his burnt hand to his chest. It appeared that the mysterious energy would not let him in, or close, for that matter. Tom and Severus looked up in concern as their submissive's unconscious form floated inside of the green sphere that slowly started to descend after a few moments. Draco landed next to his dominants a few moments before the green sphere faded away, leaving Harry floating in a skintight encasement of the energy. A soft mumbling alighted inside the mates' minds and they watched, as if in a trance, as their submissive's lips moved, almost in a chanting sort of hypnotism. Slowly, the glow started to shift into clothes as the unconscious Harry's mumbling grew louder. "...-e time or place of past, nor the amount of evil amassed, I shall help the good to stay steadfast, so beware my power... Green Lightning's blast. No matter the time or place of past, nor the amount of evil amassed, I shall help the good to stay steadfast, so beware my power... Green Lightning's blast. No matter the time..." On and on, it was as if the words needed to be ingrained inside of their minds. Slowly, clothes materialized, starting with black boots, latched with green. The energy encompassed upwards and drew a skintight black suit onto their submissive's body, sprinkling little stars throughout. As if it was not enough, the energy gave Harry's wings and tail armor, leaving his antlers to be a weapon by themselves. For the seemingly 'grand finale', Harry's chanting grew louder and louder, causing his arms to gradually lift upwards as he did so. A green cloak appeared upon his shoulders as the energy started to spark. "...-vil amassed, I shall help the good to stay steadfast, so beware my power... Green Lightning's blast. No matter the time or place of past, nor the amount of evil amassed, I shall help the good to stay steadfast, so beware my power... Green Lightning's blast! No matter the time or place of past, nor the amount of evil amassed, I shall help the good to stay steadfast, so beware my power... Green Lightning's Blast! GREEN LIGHTNING's BLAST!" With a final scream, that nearly rendered his mates deaf mind you, Harry's eyes flew open, glowing bright green, and lightning crackled from the storm cloud encompassing the entirety of Severus' vault ceiling. The energy gathered for a moment of pure silence before it struck Harry's right middle finger, exactly where the strange glowing ring was. Just as suddenly, any trace of the energy vanished, leaving Harry as he was before, gently floating down to his mates in a soothing breeze. Draco flew up once more and carefully grabbed his submissive, drifting back down to his dominant's as he checked over his petit. Seeing everything in order, Draco handed Harry over to Tom, only slightly reluctant. Tom kissed Draco's forehead in thanks before doing his own scans as Severus' hand snaked towards Harry's. Grabbing the ring, Severus felt dread a second before he was launched back twenty feet. Speeding back to where he was before, hovering over Harry, Severus nodded to himself. "It seems the ring will not come off. Let us hope the situation is not as bad as it seems." Tom and Draco nodded while Severus looked down at his karus, feeling pain in his empty heart at seeing the angelic peace that was only ever present on the little one's face when he was unconscious. "Yes. Let us hope."
