These chapters are short I know, I'm just trying to get to the good parts :)

I need to sleep. It was too dark to find evidence and I didn't need to see Kyle or Steve at the moment. They probably knew I missed my appointment. How did they find me? I found myself laying back down, looking at the ceiling as questions swirled around. Soon sleep was able to take over and I closed my eyes.

I could feel that it was a dream; my steps heavy and sluggish. In front of me was the same monster I had just killed, a face more prominent It stood a few yards away, chest rising as if it was breathing. I froze in place, just watching to see if it would attack.

"You kill me," it spoke, sounding young. "You killed me!" It screamed. My hands weren't fast enough to block the noise as it continued to scream. It moved closer, mouth agape as it continued to scream until it was ineligible. "You killed me! You killed me!"

"I'm sorry!" I yelled back, drowned out. It hissed lunging at me.

Opening my eyes, I rolled off the bed and landed on the floor with a thud. Listening, I heard no footsteps, meaning I was already home alone. I stood up, feeling pain flow from my shoulders. Limping to the bathroom, I saw sunlight peaking through the windows. Opening the familiar cabinet, I saw the fluorescent orange bottle.
