Before school today I got a text from Austin.
Austin: I'm not going to school today, I picked up a cold :(

Me: Aww I hope you get better soon!

Austin: Yeah. Thanks Stella! Bye.

Me: Bye

Because Austin was away, I went over to sit with Liam. He told me about his weekend and didn't even ask about mine so I told him myself.
"Austin and I went out for a smoothie on Saturday." I told him.
I swear I saw a slight flicker of anger on his face, but it faded quickly.
"Oh." He said. "That's nice."
I nodded. And then the bell rang to go back to class. I said bye and ran off to walk to maths with Ally. I told her about the smoothies with Austin.
"Cool." She said.
