Dreamer

Peaceful inside my imagination,

So uneasy when forced to appear.

Relaxed and in love as the virus consumes me,

But with people, always wanting to steer clear.

Lost outside the story of my life,

My pages all frayed at the seams.

Euphoria laying alone in the night,

Think I'm losing my sanity to dreams.

I used to think of my mind

as something contained and boxed inside.

But now I know my imagination

is larger than even my life.
