Coated over and laced with pain

She becomes so involved in stitching up others, she loses sight of mending

Herself

She is beautiful, lovely, broken

Abused and taken advantage of from a young age

She no longer has the innocence needed to really trust people anymore

And yet

She trusts me

And for that I am so eternally grateful

We watch time elapse as we patch each other up
