Felicity
I pulled Mars off of the guy he was beating up. I wanted to beat the guy up just as much as Mars did, but I went by the rule "ask first, shoot later" while Mars went by the old saying "shoot first, ask later." Mars stepped back, putting most of his weight on me. I almost tumbled over from the sudden shock of his weight. I stepped in something sticky, 'causing me to look down. That "sticky stuff" happened to be blood. Mars' blood. The gun shot. The moment flashed before my eyes, it had hit Mars, and he was here, beating this guy up.
"Mars! OH MY GOODNESS MARS!" I shouted at him. My heart started beating a million miles an hour. Mars made no reaction, other than stare the guy down, who was also being held back by another girl. "Where's a bed or something! There's a bullet in his leg!" I yelled at him. The people around us where mean, and cruel, cruel enough to sell Neptune, but they must have had some sort of heart left in them.
"Come this way, the sleeping quarters are this way." A smaller girl said. I didn't even care about how that had treated us for a second. I didn't care about the guy on the floor. I had almost forgotten about the fact that they sold Neptune. I just wanted Mars to be ok. I just needed him to be ok.
"I'm fine Felicity." Mars mumbled, but he held on tighter to my shoulders. His hand squeezed my shoulder hardly, and fear filled my mind, because he hadn't ever held me that tightly from pain. I half dragged, half carried Mars to the room the young girl lead us to.
"You can use the bed in the far back." The young girl told us. I hurried with Mars over there.
"Where's your first aid kit?" I asked her. She handed me a small box of bandages, wraps, and some liquids.
"We don't really get hurt around here." She said softly. The thought flew through my mind, that this girl has been stuck here for the last three years. Nothing changing. I almost stopped, thinking about it, but then I looked at Mars' pale face. His face looked almost as white as paper, his usual tan skin was no where to be seen. I fished a few things out from Mars' backpack too, knowing he threw a few things in there.
"Felicity, your shoulder." Mars said, his teeth clenched. I almost started laughing. Almost.
"You have a bullet in your leg, and you're worried about my shoulder?" I asked him. Mars shook his head. I rolled my eyes, and gave him a small smile before replying. "I'm fine, it's you we have to worry about. You have a bullet in your leg."
"I can't even feel it anymore." He mumbled.
"I don't think that's such a good thing. You're going to feel a lot of what's going to happen right now, don't worry." I told him. He gave me a small smile, and then with white gloves on I started taking the bullet out of his leg. In seconds, Mars' screams filled the room, and I could almost hear my heart breaking to pieces.
