Chapter 48
Another chapter another sim! I figured I'd create Sydnee and show you guys how I invasion her before... well, we all know why. The song is If You Can't Hang by Sleeping With Sirens!
(Hopes POV)
Evan and I quickly sit up in bed as gunshots wake us up from our slumber. The gunshots go off rapidly now as Evan jumps out of bed and runs to the door.
"Stay in here, I'll be right back" Evan unlocks the door and runs toward the shooting range.
I grab my phone on the table and check the time, 8:25 in the morning. Why do these guys like to get up so fucking early in the morning?! I lay my head back down and grab the pillow I was sleeping on just a few moments ago and throw it over my face. There was a long dramatic sigh at the door. I peek my head out from the pillow and see Brian look around the bare room.
"I told Del it was a bad idea, that he would wake you and Evan up, but he was still so pissed from yesterday that he just ignored everyone and went in there anyway," Brian says walking into the room and sitting at the computer chair, spinning it so he can face me.
I move the pillow out of the way and look at Brian, he was wearing the only hoodie that I ever bought him, a dark gray one with a black 'T' on the right breast that stood for Terroriser. I just assumed he hated it or threw it away since I never have seen him wear it before.
"What is Delirious doing exactly?" I ask. Brian sits back in the chair and puts his hands behind his head.
"Just doing a little target practice today, trying to get his aim good without of course hitting Sydnee." He says beginning to chuckle. I sit up in the bed and look at him as he stares at me.
"Did... did Sydnee do that to Jon? The scars on his face? Is that why he hides them with his masks?" I ask as I tilt my head a little. He gives me a small smile and nods his head yes.
"She personally did that to him. That was the day Evan said enough was enough and broke up with her and filed the restraining order against her. No, almost getting poisoned and having hitmen hired to take you out isn't enough, but that was?! For fuck sakes man." His Irish accent getting stronger whenever he cussed.
"Hey what the hell! I was just enjoying the show why am I in trouble as well?!" Tyler says as he and Delirious were dragged past the door by Evan.
"You two, meeting room, right fucking now!" Evan yelled as he passed the door. I sigh and get up and out of bed, still wearing the sports bra and shorts that I changed into last night after talking with Sydnee. Brian gives me a smirk as he looks me up and down.
"What happened to wearing t-shirts and pajama pants to bed hmm?" He says as he starts to walk to the open door.
"What happened to you not being this annoying hmm?" I mock back at him as I follow behind him.
"Oh I'M the annoying one? Have you met yourself since oh I don't know highschool? You've been annoying since I walked through the doors to Mr. Kimberlyn's English class. Holy shit I should've switched out of that class that fucking day." Brian says as he walks by my side as we go down to the meeting room.
"But you didn't and look what happened? It was the best junior year you had and the best sophomore year I had." I say as I elbow him in the ribs.
We laugh with one another as we walk into the meeting room. Evan already crossing his arms as Brian and I are the last ones to walk inside the room. Evan still wasn't wearing a shirt, only the sweatpants that he slept in last night.
"Do you even own any clothes Hope? Or how about less revealing ones? We're not back at the strip club you know." Tyler says as he glares at me.
"What's wrong with what she's wearing?" Evan and Brian say almost at the exact same time. They look at each other as everyone else looks at either Evan or Brian. I groan as I take a seat next to a standing Craig and a sitting Brock.
"Meeting, come on, let's go. What did you want to talk about." I cross my arms and lean back in the chair.
"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning," Lui says while looking over at Delirious. The two begin laughing but I slam a fist on the table which got everyone's attention.
"Am I going to have to fucking run this meeting or what?! Evan, explain so I can hurry up and put clothes on after this since it's such a distraction to everyone." I look over at Evan as he stares back at me.
Craig quietly snickers to himself before saying, "I can see why you're a distraction." underneath his breath. I stand up and grab the back of his neck slamming his face onto the glass table.
"Wanna share with the rest of the group Craig? You didn't speak loud enough for everyone to hear you." He forcefully pushes up his head so I lose my grip on him as he grabs my shoulders and pushes my head onto the table. I get instant flashbacks of the time in his bathroom.
"NOT SO TOUGH NOW ARE YOU, SHORTCAKE?!" He yells. I can feel my heart quicken as he stares right into my eyes.
"OFF OF HER NOW!" Evan yells, quieting the already quiet room even more. Craig turns to Evan as he lets go of my shoulders and backs away from me.
"ANYTHING ELSE HOPE?! OR CAN I GO ON!" Evan yells as he looks at me. I push myself off of the table and sit back in my chair. Evan takes a deep breath as he closes his eyes.
"Hope... didn't get her reason until last night after everyone left. I overheard some of their conversation and-" I roll my eyes and cut him off.
"You mean when you were eavesdropping? But go on Evan continue what you were saying." I'm not having any of these guy's moods today. Evan's glare worsens at me.
"And after hearing what Sydnee said to Hope, I told both of them and now you guys that execution day is today for Sydnee." Evan looks around the room. Tyler, Delirious, and Brian let out a cheer, as David, Lui, Craig, and Marcel give approving smiles. Brock looks down at the table and sighs.
"Brock, you don't have to be a part of it if you don't want to. But I'm giving everyone the chance to get any final words they have for her now before three in the afternoon when everyone gets to take a shot at her." My mind ignored everything else as I mindlessly get up from my seat and walk toward the door. I walked out of the door and toward the shooting range, ignoring the guy's calls toward me.
I go inside the small room just outside the shooting range and lock the door behind me before walking to the gym door and locking that door as well. There, no more people listening in on my conversations. I turn and look at the now standing confused girl.
"What else did he do to you?" I say as I walk to the lone chair near the glass. She gives me a confused look as I sit in the chair.
"What... what do you mean?" She asks me confused. I lean forward in the chair.
"When Evan came in the room last night and went on about why he did the stuff he did, he admitted to hitting you right? Even if you hit him first, meaning you were telling the truth... somewhat. So, what else did he do to you? I just left a meeting about your death so I just want the truth, let's put the hate aside for a few, and you tell me the truth." I say.
Both the gym door and the other door leading into her were now being pounded on. She looks at both of them worriedly as she points to the door behind me. I look and see Evan furiously trying to open it as Brian pounds his fist on it, as if he did it hard enough, the glass would break. I turn and look at her.
"We don't have much time, I want to know what you went through while dating him," I say as she looks back at me.
"Yes... I did hit him first, but it wasn't a hit like he did to me. It was a punch or a slap to get his attention when we were yelling at each other, almost an instinct punch. That's when he would punch back during our arguments and fights with each other. My friends... wanted me to get out of it after they saw a bruise, but I was too blindsided to care, I loved and cared about Evan too much. I knew that he loved me too, but after a year, I can tell he was getting tired with me, he didn't want to hang around me as much, or talk with me, it was about the gang, getting the money, everything that wasn't me." She sighed and looked down at the ground.
Evan moved on with his life it seemed like while I was in the coma. Sure, he wasn't happy about me being in it and it affected him greatly, but he didn't know if I was going to wake up or not. He could easily do what he did to Sydnee to me. There was yelling at the doors now, but I ignored it still.
"What Evan said last night was true, he did get me everything I asked for, I started the arguments and fights, but... he's going to lose interest in you if you don't keep up with him and HIS needs... if... if you get what I'm saying. He'll gladly threaten to go find a hooker if you're not to his standards. He didn't go to one as far as I know, but he's made multiple threats to me about it." She looks up and gives me a sad smile.
For some reason, the night of the party when I was in the shower comes to my mind. I get up from my chair and go to the shooting range door. She doesn't even move as I get up on my tiptoes and reach on the little ledge above the door and move my hand along the top of it. I grab the spare key that everyone probably forgot about and go back to being flat-footed.
I unlock the door and just as I do, I can hear the yells get louder as they flood into the room. I step inside the shooting range and close the door behind me and lock it as Brian reaches the door. He shakes at the handle furiously but it hardly moves, locked, good.
"HOPE WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH?! YOU ARE YOU INSANE, SHE'S GOING TO KILL YOU!" Evan yells as he pounds at the glass in front of Sydnee. I turn to look at her as she stands there looking at me. I walk over to her and stood about a foot away from her, she still stands there not knowing how to react.
"She would've done it by now Evan, she would've gone to the door and attacked me as soon as I opened it, but no, she's still standing here." I turn and look at Evan as he stops pounding at the glass and looks at the two of us. I sit on the concrete floor and look up at her.
"Sydnee, sit down and we can talk quietly so they won't hear us," I say as she quickly sits down, she looks over at Evan for a second before turning to me. Please for the love of god let this plan work.
"What else did he do to you?" I ask quietly. She holds her breath and tightly shuts her eyes as she brings her hands to her ears.
"STOP, YOU'RE GETTING INTO MY HEAD!" She yells. Not what I was expecting but I'll take it.
"WHAT DID HE DO TO YOU! WHAT DID ALL OF THESE GUYS DO TO YOU SYDNEE FOR YOU TO BE LIKE THIS!" I yell. The pounding on the glass and the jiggling on the door stop as Sydnee begins to rock back and forth now.
"STOP! STOP! STOP!" She yells louder than before. I stand up and tower over her.
"WHAT DID EVAN DO TO YOU?! WHAT DID BRIAN DO?! WHAT DID CRAIG DO?! WHAT DID BROCK DO?! WHAT DID ALL OF THOSE GUYS DO TO YOU!" I yell out. She brings her hands away from her ears and stands up now, tears were streaming down her face.
"EVAN HIT ME AND BASICALLY ABUSED ME! BRIAN WAS LOVING AND CARING TO YOU, BUT HE YELLED AND HATED ME FOR DATING EVAN! ALL OF THEM, ALL OF THEM YELLED, HIT, OR DID SOMETHING TO MAKE ME STAY AWAY FROM THEM AND EVAN, BUT I LOVED EVAN TO MUCH TO JUST LEAVE. THAT'S WHY I DID WHAT I DID. TO ALL OF YOU, YOU TREATED ME SO HORRIBLY IN THE BEGINNING SO THAT'S WHY I BECAME THE PERSON THAT YOU ALL KNOW ME AS! THERE THAT'S IT, THAT'S WHY I DID WHAT I DID." She yells as she looks at the guys.
I look with her and watch the different reactions in the guys faces. It all makes sense, why they hated me when they kidnapped me, they probably thought I was going to change Evan for the worse. It's why Tyler and Del hated me the worse in the beginning and still don't like me as much, because, in their minds, their leader shouldn't have a girl that makes him weak, and that's what Sydnee did and what I'm doing.
"And you," Sydnee says as she turns and looks at me. "You had and still have it all. You had the most perfect boyfriend that was going to propose to you a few weeks after that party he threw if he didn't cheat on you. You have the 9 most ruthless, notorious gang members falling at your feet to your every command because you're dating the richest and most dangerous man in Los Santos. You have what I want and still want, not Evan, but happiness." She takes a step closer to me and wraps both hands around my neck as she pushes my back into the glass. Her grip tightens as she stares at me. Good, Evan should react now.
"You're happy in life. You had Brian, you have Evan. You have access to all of the money that you can imagine. And what do you do with your happiness? You waste it on an abusive gang leader who's going to get tired of you in a few years." She smiles at me and sighs. I grab at her hands to try and pull them away from me. The click of the door lock sounds as Brian and Evan come in, both pointing pistols at her.
"Do it Puddin' do what you couldn't do earlier and kill me." She lets go of me as my butt falls to the floor.
I start gasping for air as I crawl over to Evan and Brian. Bang, one shot. Bang, two shots. Bang, the third and final shot goes. I turn and look at Sydnee as she has a smile on her face, a bullet hole in the middle of her forehead, a bullet hole right between the eyes, and the last bullet hole right where her heart is. She falls backward and doesn't get back up. Evan lowers his gun and stares at the dead body as Brian kneels down and grabs onto my shoulders.
"I... I knew... that you would do it.... under this circumstance though." I say through my coughs, still trying to get the lost air back into my lungs.
