Chapter 49

Here is my bean that I love IRL... Craig! Just a reminder that this is how I envision everyone alright? The song is Everytime by Britney Spears!

(Hopes POV)

"Alright class, take your seats, the bell has rung and class is beginning." Mr. Kimberlyn says as he closes the door to the room and walks to the whiteboard. I groan and look over at a bored Holly.

"I need the credit, but is Hamlet really that important of a play? I mean, I'm not going to remember it a couple of years from now when I'm with the Vagos or Ballas or whatever gang wants me." I roll my eyes as I bring my legs up and on the desk, crossing them.

"You could move out to Liberty City and live with my internet boyfriend Ryan and I here in a few years. We can start our own gang with him and his friends." Holly says beginning to laugh. I start to smile as I laugh with her.

"Mrs. De Santa, is something so funny that you're dying to share it with the class?" Mr. Kimberlyn turns and looks at me. The class turns and looks at me, waiting for a response.

"I'm just laughing about the next act in Hamlet sir. Sorry that I read ahead but I know what happens and Holly over here was bugging me to tell her what happened." I lie as I give him a smile. Nobody likes a kiss ass except Mr. Kimberlyn. He stares at me and nods his head before turning to the board to finish what he was writing. I turn to Holly and give her a fake smile.

"Just kiss ass to the creep and he'll leave you alone." She rolls her eyes and turns to the board. A loud knock came from the door, Mr. Kimberlyn sighs as he stops writing once again and goes to the door. A tall guy with short brown hair, blue eyes, and brown stubble around his chin and mouth walks into the room and looks around it.

"Class, this is our new student Brian Hanby, he just moved here all the way from Ireland." Mr. Kimberlyn says as he looks around the room.

"Well, fuck do you want my social security number and blood type as well? How about my address while you're at it." The guys says in a strong Irish accent.

"How about your dick size while you're at it, Brian Hanby!" I cup my hands over my mouth and yell. The class starts to laugh as I smile at him. He turns to look at me and gives me a smirk.

"Why tell you when I can show you later," Brian says as he gives me a wink. I lose my smile and felt my face heat up as he walked down my aisle of seats.

"I don't want to hear any more of that talk understand?" Mr. Kimberlyn says as he goes back to the board. Brian goes to the empty seat behind me and sets his things at his feet. I turn and look back at him, my legs going off of the desk as I give him a glare.

"Listen, we already have one annoying Irish fuck at this school I heard, we don't another, understand? So you can as so kindly go back to wherever the fuck you came from, and I'll greatly appreciate it." I say. He smiles at me as he leans forward in his seat, getting closer to me.

"You seem like the type of girl that has daddy issues I'm guessing. Luckily those girls are just my type." He says as he smiles at me. Holly starts to snicker in her seat, Brian and I turn to her.

"You got that right that's for damn sure." Holly says as she begins to laugh.

"Hey Grape head, is your friend here single or what?" He asks. I groan out in disgusts and bring my hands to my throat, pretending to choke myself.

"I don't go for creeps just so you know, besides, you really aren't my type," I say as I take my hands away. He looks at me confused.

"Says the girl who asked for my dick size just a minute ago? But yet, I'm the creep, yeah okay. Anyways let me guess, you go for blondes and glasses? Or do you go for Asians? Honestly can't tell from how you look and act." He says. I turn around in my seat, not wanting to look at him anymore.

"Don't fucking cross me Hanby, if you know what's good for you." I cross my arms and lean back in my seat.

"Oh, I was just messing around with you Shortcake, take a chill pill." He's been in this class for what, three minutes and he's already giving me a fucking nickname, fuck that? I stand up and slam my fist on his desk as I grab him by the shirt collar.

"Don't fucking call me that, you don't know what I can do to you," I say. He lets out a chuckle as he grabs my hand and stands up, basically towering over me at this point.

"BOTH OF YOU, OUT NOW! I'M NOT DEALING WITH A FIGHT!" Mr. Kimberlyn yells. Since when am I not kicked out of here for fighting?

"Come on Shortcake, let's go to the office together." He says giving me a smile.

He's not afraid of me or avoids me like most of the people in this school do. Then again, he's new and doesn't know about me yet. We walk out of the class and I go in the direction of the office, Brian behind me.

"Are you a freshman or a junior like me?" He asks as he walks up to my side. Why is he so persistent on trying to talk with me?

"My friend that you call Grape and I are the only two Sophomores in his class. I'm supposed to be a freshman, but since I'm considered "gifted" the school said fuck it and now I'm a Sophomore if that answers your question." I cross my arms and look at the ground as we walk.

"Look, I'm gonna be honest with you. All I'm asking for is a friend in this school, and you and Grape seem like the perfect two. You're the stubborn brains, I'm the handsome brawns, and Grape is the jokester of the group. I think we'll be an unstoppable trio." He says in a quiet voice. A small smile comes to my face, maybe Hanby can be good for something.

My feet dangled off of the ledge of the concrete dock, the rain already making me soaked as it pulled me from the fading memory. I've been out here for over an hour already. I would've thought one of the guys would've already come to find me by now, especially since it's raining and thundering out. I guess we just all need a breather for a little bit. I look out at the ocean as thousands of raindrops hit the water. A couple of feet behind me, I hear the rain hit an umbrella. I guess whoever is out here checking on me, is calm enough to see my face again.

The umbrella goes over my head as the person sits down on the wet concrete next to me. I look over and see Craig stare out at the ocean too. He is the last person I would expect out here after what I did to him in the meeting room. I look back and watch the rain.

"How are you feeling?" He asks, not bothering to turn and look at me. I wouldn't blame him, I acted like a total bitch to him for no reason when he was just trying to be funny.

"Other than being drenched, I'm fine. What about you, I didn't give you a concussion did I?" I ask, turning to him. He chuckles for a second and shakes his head no.

"I've received worse punches to the head, trust me." We go back to being quiet again.

"I'm sorry," I say quietly. He turns and gives me a smile.

"Like I said Hope, I've received worse punches to my hear. That and I deserved it." He shrugs his shoulders as he readjusts his glasses. I shake my head no and sigh.

"I'm sorry for that yes... but what I meant was I'm sorry. I'm sorry that... I never gave you a proper response back at the old clubhouse. I feel like you deserve a proper response... especially after getting me a car that day." He stares ahead as a pained look comes to his face.

"You kind of gave me a response when you walked away that day, and when Evan told Brian and I about you two, and when you told everyone else about you and Evan. I don't need a response because I already got one. It's alright Hope, I get it. I keep telling myself that I don't have a shot with you because of Evan, but a part of me wants to keep that little bit of faith alive. Do you know how hard it is to get over you? You specifically? I've had no trouble getting over any other girl, but you make it tough." He turns to me and says. I take a deep breath and let out the air slowly.

"I don't know if I want to be with Evan anymore. After how he tried to hit me last night, and all that Sydnee has told me about him, I just... I want to say I'm scared, but I'm not. Then the whole thing at the hospital happened and Evan was like 'do you still have feelings for Brian' and I was like oh god I still do and I'm realizing that I'm a mess Craig, I don't know what to do." I stand up and move out of the way of the umbrella so it's just covering Craig now. I need to stop before I start rambling.

"Not to mention Brian confesses back to me that he still has feelings for me. So my ex and now you both confess to me that you still have feelings for me just days apart and do you not realize how much this is fucking with my head? Then the whole Sydnee situation is just the cherry on top. I'm... I'm done, I can't fucking do this anymore. I'm leaving the fucking state for... until I'm better." I shake my head, not even believing what I said. Craig stands up now and shakes his head no.

"Hope, you just need to calm down alright? You've had a really shitty week, worse than anyone else in the group, but leaving isn't going to solve anything if you just come right back to it after a little bit. How about staying with Autumn for a few days to help, I know she'll be glad to help." Craig suggests. I look up at the sky as the rain falls onto my face.

"I'm leaving Craig. I need a break from this, whatever the hell THIS is. I haven't had this much stress since fucking high school. You're not stopping me, Brian isn't stopping me, and Evan isn't stopping me." I look back down and turned my back to him, walking back toward the warehouse.

I walked in and it was quiet in the place, the tv was on but it played quietly. I have no clue where anyone is and I don't care where everyone is. I turn and go back to my bedroom, hopefully someone isn't in there. I open my door, and thankfully no one was, I should probably change first before doing more damage to the situation.

I change into one of my black hoodies and gray leggings. I grab my phone sitting on the charger and open it up. I was greeted by the selfie of Evan, Craig, Brian, and I back at the casino on my home screen. It was another stab in the chest. I look through my contacts and click on the one I was looking for. I lay down on the bed and take a deep breath. Maybe I'm just overreacting Hope, I did see my boyfriend kill his ex right in front of me after she tried to strangle me. Before I can go hang up, he answers.

"Okay, what is it, you never call me, you usually call Holly. Need some good advice from the vape lord himself?" John says as he starts to laugh. I started to cry, hearing his voice felt like a relief to me. Hearing everyone else's will feel like home here soon.

"I... I need to stay with you guys. Until... I... until I feel better... I need to get out of Los Santos... out of the state." I said through my tears. It went quiet on his side before he sighed.

"I'll be waiting at the airport until then, alright? I'll tell the others and get everything arranged for you. I'll see you in a few hours, alright Hope?" He says. I nod my head as I sit up. I turn and see Evan looking at me as he stands in the doorway.

"I'll see you in a few hours." I bring my phone away and end the call as quickly as I started it.

Evan walks in and starts putting the clothes I thrown from the bag, back into it. Craig had to of told him what I said, not to mention he overheard me. We didn't say anything to each other as we packed my bag. Once I got my phone charger in the bag Evan zipped up the bag and threw it over his shoulder.

"I'll take you to the airport... come on." He was trying not to cry, I can hear it in his voice. I followed behind him as we walked through the warehouse and outside to his car.

We were quiet the whole ride to the airport and even in the airport as he bought my ticket for a plane that was leaving in an hour to go to Liberty City. I'm making a mistake, Craig is right, I'm going to come back to this whenever I do... but right now... I think a break from everyone is what I need. Evan hands me the ticket and walks out of line.

"Call me when you're heading back, or don't. Just... I..." He brings his hands to his face as he walks away, going back out of the busy airport. There I stood, another stab to my heart. I bit my lip, to prevent myself from crying as I walked towards the security line.
