((A/N I'm listening to the song above as I write this.))

Back in the Nether Jace swung his sword through the last wither skeleton, and it disappeared in a puff of white, leaving behind its head. He picked it up, smiling now that he had all three heads. All that was left was the soul sand, and that was simple to get. Jace debated between getting normal soul sand or stealing some from his uncle. The stuff Herobrine left lying around at home made a super wither, more powerful than normal and dropped two nether stars upon death. It would be useful to have a spare so Jace teleported to Herobrine's home in the nether. He took care of the guards easily and strolled through the halls, heading to Herobrine's room. Once inside he opened the chest hidden under the bed and pulled out 4 of the special soul sand. Putting the soul sand in his inventory next to the skulls, he turned to go but something caught his eye. One of the massive paintings on the wall had a slight glow behind it, so Jace walked over and walked through the painting. Behind it was a long tunnel with offshoots every so often. Jace smirked at the weak maze,for it would be easy to get to the end with the powers he possessed. He shot a pulse of magic down each offshoot and waited for them to return. As each one came back it formed into a map before him, showing every twist and turn, all the traps and dead ends. Jace grinned and started planning his route through it.

Herobrine and Notch reached the pool and looked around for Rose. Unable to find any physical trace of her, Notch turned to his brother. "She's not here, even if she was at one point. Can you track where she could have gone?"

Herobrine thought about it for a minute. Since Rose didn't have magic, she wouldn't be able to block a tracking spell, so that would make it easier. Herobrine nodded. "I should be able to. Just give me a minute." He closed his eyes and concentrated, white magic pouring out of his hands as he chanted the spell silently. A white figure, formed from his magic, slowly appeared in front of the pool. The figure of Rose had a sack slung over her shoulder, and started walking toward the forest, soon almost out of sight.

Notch look at his brother amazed that he could use a spell like that. "Hero we need to follow it!"

Herobrine opened his eyes and nodded, then he and Notch walked after the figure, trying to keep up. The figure kept walking, going deeper and deeper into the forest. It stopped under a tree and sat down, then pulled out a golden apple and started to eat it.

Notch and Herobrine both stopped when they reached the tree, and watched the figure suddenly slump over, the half eaten apple rolling out of its hand. Then the figure vanished, and Notch turned to Herobrine in a panic. "Where did Rose go?! The figure showing us where she went just vanished!"

Herobrine frowned and tried the spell again, but it didn't work. "Ok then... so we know that from the house Rose walked to the pool, and then to here. What worries me most is her suddenly falling forward, as if knocked out or asleep."

Notch stared at him in disbelief. "That's what worries you most?! Not the fact that we have NO IDEA where she is, but the fact that she FELL ASLEEP?!"

Unknown to either of them, a figure cloaked in darkness watched them argue back and forth about what had happened to the girl. It knew what had happened to her, but it was sent here with simple commands. The figure could disobey said commands if it so wished, but the memory of what happened to the previous demon slave kept it in check. Settling farther back, the demon kept watching.

Herobrine sighed and rubbed his temple tiredly. "Please calm down brother. If you let me finish, I would have gotten to that. Now as I was ABOUT to say, Rose either discovered an evil magic that overtook her and spirited away, or she may have fallen into a stray portal."

Notch snorted. "Uh huh. I suppose the next thing you are going to say is that unicorns are real and THEY kidnapped Rose. I'm telling you, it was Jace!"

Herobrine rolled his eyes. "Notch please be real. Evil magic has run amok in Minecraftia before, the chosen ones have had to fight it off before, maybe that's the evil that needs to be fought this cycle. Just calm down, we'll find her. I'm leaning toward the evil magic, because I felt something was off earlier, but I didn't mention it because it wasn't that big of a deal at the moment because Rose was missing."

Notch rolled his eyes, but conceded the point. "Fine so it wasn't Jace, it was most likely evil magic. So we need to track it to the source."

The demon had heard all he needed to, and vanished, heading back to its master to tell of all it had listened in on.

Herobrine nodded. "Yeah. I can feel when evil magic is afoot, but only you can contain it, so we'll have to track it together. I can sense it, so I'll start working on that. I suggest we go back to our house and start planning there."

Notch nodded and he and Herobrine turned and started walking home, eager to get there so they could start.
