Epilogue

This is it.

Today, I can feel my veins in a rollercoaster traverse, riding up and down in ebullience, making me tap my feet fretfully. I have never felt more irritated of myself before, not even when I fell, blacked out to a coma and later waking up with the biggest and nastiest scar on my forehead. I have my share of scary encounters which made me cry like a baby but not something which makes me shake and fret.

Well, fear and nervousness can be quite different, is it not?

I remember the time when I got instilled with the thought that I would live my whole life like a spinster in the cloak of virginity. I wonder who named a pure girl virgin. I should Google on that. Oh, where is my skull heading to? When you have bullies as your best friends and those other mean pests as your friends, you won't live a happily ever after without tears and running nose. One thing they said the most was I would live without anyone to love and I would end up a dry hag. Wasn't that just spiteful, but that was almost true until a miracle happened.

Yesterday, I walked to our church at the realization that I needed blessings; thus I walked in only to be encompassed within whiteness, a beautiful feeling of sovereignty. I sauntered slowly taking my time, sat on one of the beautifully carved wooden benches and immersed myself in prayers. As I opened my eyes, the only thing I could see was love, compassion, and acceptance. I felt at ease, and after a long time, I really knew how to be sincerely happy. I only prayed for my virtuous future and happy endings. This resulted in a beautiful dream just before my white wedding showing me His divine intentions. The vision I saw was indeed a sight to behold because what I felt was heavenly. In a large meadow with all types of white flowers... I saw an aisle in between. I walked in search of its end, and at last, as I reached what was supposed to be the end, I saw Alex in a charming white tuxedo. He turned slowly as he felt my presence, amusingly widening his eyes.

I could feel the nervousness of the earth as she stood still and time jingling to an abrupt end. I was the only one moving on this entire planet to a perfect place. When I reached to him, he opened my veil which scattered like many glittery snowflakes. To someone in front of him, he said I do and leaned closer to kiss me. I got drowned in his kiss; letting me know about my body more personally. I woke up with this tingles in the morning of my wedding which soothed my bones; littering unwanted jittering-nerves into every corner.

While I was staring blankly at my mirror floating into the dream, someone snapped from behind and said it's time. Judie, the wedding planner walked away taking along her strong whiff of Channel perfume which in turn collided with sweet feminine fragrance along with many giggles who later walked in dressing immaculately in a knee length satin white dress adorning a black silky sash. Finally, Fabio walked to me with a wide smirk, dressed brilliantly in an off-white tuxedo and black tie. His hair was combed back sleekly which gave his stubble a push forward framing him more handsome. Can someone be this attractive, oh, wait till I see Alex. Fabio kissed my forehead and teased the entire way up to where Alex stood for being heavy and that Alex won't be able to hold me in bridal style. I knew he was trying to cheer my up but what can I do; I sobbed. Thanks to Nat who ordered the best beauticians for doing my makeup in water and smudge proof thus I can cry as much as I want without any fear. But, in between my sobs, I did manage to tell Fabio that no matter what, I can always carry Alex if he is plausible. Fabio's laughter boomed quieting the whole ballroom where the guests turned to look at the bride. Me!

And I stood still.

Just like the way when I saw my dress. That was one heck of a time because no matter how sweetly I smiled, my fat body was smiling back just like I and when the shop owners knew about the fact that I am the bride their face scrunch up sympathetically and declare they do not have a dress for my size. How pity!

Well, it was God only knows how many shops I exited... leading me to Lucian's Boutique shining up in middle of a busy street. The rich scent of vanilla welcomed me with both hands as I opened the beautifully designed pristine double doors. Wow, this is something special! A petite woman of nearly sixty came smiling at me and held my hands. "I suppose you are the bride." I can only gasp at her revelation. She laughed shyly and said, "Well, there is certainly a glow on your face that only a happy bride boasts. Now, come on I will show you some dresses."

And for two hours straight she showed me dresses after dresses which I declined politely; because none of them spoke to me. I was very much confused and desired a dress which was a perfect white one with something black, just like the whole marriage plan. So, when I discussed it with her, she smiled courteously, taking me to another rack where there were so many dresses which had white, ivory white, off-white and variations of white shades supporting fancy colored sashes. Aha... something I love and something that will help me decide.

Finally, I set my eyes on two beautiful gowns liking one of the features about them. Again, not completely one full dress but the best news of the evening was I can mix and match the features I love the dress I choose.

#The first dress is the middle one... the one Angela picks.

The first one that I set my eyes on was a gorgeous vintage inspired lace over dolce satin designer wedding dress with an amazing sweetheart neckline and a traditional cathedral train. Though I am not a huge fan of a sweetheart neckline, the overall look of the dress impressed me. I simply love the cathedral train. Plus this one comes with a diamante beaded grosgrain ribbon sash which supports the color black; just perfect.

The another one was a lace over matte-side lavish satin designer wedding gown which just screamed elegance but it did not speak to me. What spoke to me about that dress was the romantic lace illusion back adding a beautiful intricate texture while the lace shoulder straps boosts my confidence because I don't usually do sleeveless nor without any straps; so this will be one tough ride for me. I, finally choose the first dress with the lace illusion back and shoulder strap from the second one. Though, the petite woman Mary was not happy with my choice, but later on agreed. Both dresses were from Essence of Australia wedding collection and I am in love with their dresses.

While I froze in the entrance with Fabio by my side, I was pushed back to reality from the flashback of my dress hunt by Fabio who showcased an understanding grin which instantly eased me. I turned to look at the guests who looked back at me with wide beady eyes, some judgmental some in awe but mostly I heard was gasps along with impressed expression. The wedding planners have done an amazing job to decorate the wedding hall intricately with the black and white theme I preferred; in fact, they have mastered it than what I mentally planned for.

Once again my smile faltered by the size of guests gazing at me. A beautiful song oozed from the front where I saw Alex standing back to me. My bridesmaids have walked forward, already scattered the white, pink and yellow rose petals. I stood like a statue in the entrance archway which was designed with vines of silk black flowers and real white rose flowers. The best men turned to look where the bride was but I was a nervous wreck. Fabio took his time to usher me forward. When my trance was over, I looked down and saw my slightly raised stomach and heavy arms giving me an instant urge to cover myself up. "How do I look, oh, please Fabio; I can't do this."

"Angelina, no matter what others says or does, you are you, and there is nothing you can change about that. People will comment no matter what you are. Do you think people will hush on those who are thin? Well, Celine had to go through a lot on our wedding, even I heard someone comment that her hairdo was so bad that it made her look unlikely. Can you believe it? Who cares about such things other than picky mean women? So, trust in yourself and walk down this aisle to your man like one badass woman who cares damn about others and if people pick on you, smile and flip both your birds. But don't you dare cry and scream in frustration. Look at all those faces; do you even know who they are? No, so walk in pride and smile at all those filthy judgmental eyes. Now come on, our pastor looks too heavy to stand for so long."

Inhaling a deep breath which smelled superiorly of flowers and goodness, I stepped in from the archway which was dimly lit. I can see guests standing from the black and white chairs looking too stunned that I was unable to pick their expression as impressed or not. Fabio smirked to all those people and finally I saw him genuinely smile at his love. I only tried to focus my eyes on Alex who still has his back to me which obviously irritated me. I can hear people murmur which vaguely sounded like; she's beautiful for a fat bride. I scoffed.

The music stopped to change the beat and the only sound that leaked out was my heels and the dress's train whooshing which in turn made my heart beat loudly. I classed a veil covering my face wanting to make Alex pull it out to kiss me. With his back still facing towards me, I wanted to cry but as I was about to get on the Alter to stand side by side with him, Alex turned and took my hand from Fabio who went to complete the groom's line. Alex's hand was shaking and it felt warm, so warm that I wanted to suppress a laugh that was bubbling inside of me. Alex was nervous just like I. How sweet.

I was completely in a dreamland where someone was blabbing something, but all I can hear was Alex's soft heart thumping wildly. His fingers never left mine and my eyes never left his face. He was sneaking glances at me. I can hear my bridesmaids giggling because I was zoned out with only Alex in my mind. I think I heard someone say I do and after some more blabbering distantly in the background, then again silence. It was so intense making me turn towards the funny looking man of God who eyed me strangely with those beady eyes behind bushy brows. His eyes rolled and again looked at me demanding something.

"What?"

"Oh heavens help me, she is whipped."

This broke out such a warm laughter from the whole audience embarrassing me to its peak. I sheepishly whispered 'I do.' And felt my heart somersaulting to Alex's gaze. He bit his lower lip while taking off the veil and I looked at him just as lovingly. He bowed down to kiss me. Well, what are friends for if not pulling pranks on us? Nat and David pushed us together, unbalancing me in those high heels but Alex held me in his arms and we looked something like cut out from a dance pose. So, he kissed me then and there gaining wild cheers and applauses.

We led the whole party to the reception area which was immaculately designed in mirrored accents, black and white banquettes and gorgeous flowers with a black silk flower in between to complete the black and white pattern. I couldn't help by smile at the black and white balloon floating with long threads holding paper at the bottom to write something on. We held the reception in a seated dinner with candles decorating the place in mercury votives which illuminated the place romantically. A combination of high and low centerpieces interspersed with crystal candelabras dressed up in the room.

I had to thank Alex for being this considerate and making my wedding a fairytale come true. I picked peonies, ranunculus, and gardenias, white, pink, red and yellow roses with hydrangeas, tulips, and lilies to give the soft texture of earthly feel. I asked them to pin an occasional black silk rose with the others to make it look complete. I wanted black with white in everything and they did a spectacular job not at all overdoing anything. White pearly sofas with black satin dressing, banquettes and mirrored furniture with beautiful candles gave the place a luxurious romantic vibe. I was practically floating with Alex in the extravagance of my wedding. I never imagined my wedding to be magical.

The guest ushered us to cut the cake first and I happily obliged. To be honest, I was looking forward to this part, the cake. Though Alex assured me the three-course dinner was succulent, I wanted to eat the cake for myself and I specially said, only the cake. He laughed merrily knowing the sugar crave I had. It was not only the love of sugar that made me mad about this cake but how beautifully they have prepared this black and white four-tiered cake with floral work. I stood staring at the cake for a while before cutting the cake which again got me a few snickers and teasing, they thought I zoned out again.

Finally after all the chatting, dancing, wasting, laughing and kissing, it was time for us to go. I was ushered to kiss one last time and I threw my bouquet which hit Nat on her head. Oh, wow. I can't wait for another marriage. At last, we got into the white sleek Audi which had a just married fun picture with both of us in the back, then vroomed off into the abandoned midnight road.

"Where are we going?"

"You will see. But first of all, I want to grab some comfy jeans and get laid."

"Aleexx..."

We waltzed through the deserted road holding hands listening to rock music. I dozed off after a while and just as I was about to enter into a beautiful dream, Alex nudged me awake in front of a luxurious looking hotel and walked in collecting the keys to a room which screamed money. There on the king size bed was a beautiful white knee length lace dress with beautiful light blue floral designs. Alex held a matching white baggy shirt and black skinny jeans. After spending a full half an hour hot shower together we got dressed for my surprise.

Alex veiled my eyes with a black satin cloth. Drove for fifteen minutes or so and made me stand in an uneven land. He requested me to only open my covering when he requests to and this, I stood there feeling chills embracing me. After the hot shower and this sleeveless, semi-backless dress I was turning into an ice sculpture. But, soon I heard him calling me and I removed my eye covering only to gasp at the beauty.

I was standing on a beach at the foot of an aisle which was made with a dark blue velvet carpet winding up to the right side obscured by the silhouette of what seems to be rocks and bushes. The carpet was bordered with silverware bowl containing water and floating petals and on each bowl was a candle illuminating the place romantically. The full moon brightly shone against the candle complimenting everything. Boldly I sauntered through the aisle and just after the turn to the right, there in the middle was a red rose. A few yards away were another rose and as such, I collected total twenty roses which beamed an imaginary bulb above me; he is wishing me my birthday in advance. I could feel my eyes prickling but after a while, I got a bouquet of roses. This was divine; I love roses and he was showering me with roses.

Well, he was just being romantic, said my inner voice. I stood sniffing the roses smiling dreamily and look ahead to see something that made my heart swell and toe twirl. Just a few more steps away where a white tent with candles and mirror works swaying. The place was overflowing with roses in all colors and I couldn't help but fall in love again. This time with roses, but my heart started beating wildly seeing Alex by the door standing in nothing but his jeans. His sides facing to the tent glowed orange and his face shone brilliantly in an ivory and purple shade. Alex looked at me lovingly and tried to take me bridal style but struggled to earn himself a fine laugh from me.

Finally, he picked me but didn't reach the comfy looking bed and cushions. So instead I surprised him by taking him in my arms and plunked down together on the white satin sheets. His face twisted with pain and amusement. "You are stronger than I thought."

To that, I kissed him tenderly without taking the moment into a wild beat. He tenderly held me and all I could see were stars dancing around with small white cupids and hearts. Cliché I know but no one can blame the bride on her first night.

"What is this Alex?"

"What is what?"

"This Alex," I raised my hands to the surrounding with a duh expression. "This must have cost a fortune."

"For my queen, nothing is more precious. This fortune is something that I have spent willingly making my heart swell with pride. Besides, you are new, we are new... so, don't expect this in the coming years."

"V.E.R.Y funny..." I bit his lower lip a bit too hard that made him yelp in pain and I laughed seeing his rose lips turning to a fiery red. Oops!

"I will get you for that."

He clutched my hair and pulled my face a bit back and stared into my eyes. Slowly he lowered himself to my lips. I slowly licked his lower lip making him hiss and I laughed. He dipped his head into my neck and I nibbled his ear lobe and then biting a bit too much making him yelp.

"ANGELLAAA..."

I couldn't keep up with the heat again. I felt a push inside making me smile at the urge my body shows to the only man in the world.

"Are you tired?"

"Yes, but not so much that I will sleep on such a wonderful date."

"Oh, you are mistaken. This is not a date but the first step to our honeymoon."

"Really; where are we flying to?

"You will love the place. The flight is on tomorrow night so we have the whole night to ourselves plus morning. Are you ready to create an unforgettable night?"

I kept quiet acting like I was thinking about it.

"You are such a teaser." He scoffed.

"I will as long as I can hold your soul in me, Alexander."

He was such a teaser and a player who knew his game. I opened easily to his games making me feel the happiest girl in the world. What did I do to deserve such happiness? I love, love this moment so much that I was mentally trying to instill my first honeymoon night into the safe of my brain. His lips murmured my name making me flow a river. This was by far the best time of my life and now I knew I wanted more. Alex raised his face from my neck and kissed me on my forehead.

"I think this is enough... for tonight."

"This was the best time of my life Alex."

"I felt that. Come let's take a skinny dip in the freezing water."

"What? No, there can be people around."

"Angela, this is a private hotel and a private beach. I have asked them to provide this beach for us alone. In the morning, when the sun rises, if you are awake I will show you. Right now, do you want to experience the fun?"

"Only if you will give me one more adventure inside"

"I can give you as many as you want as long as you can hold onto me, darling."

I hissed. "Call me again."

"Darling..." he called me that not only once or twice, but lots of time until we reached the water which was indeed freezing. But Alex pushed me and I pulled him in. laughing under the moonlight and bathing in the cool water. Alex walked to me, his face gleaming in the moonlight making his eyes shine brightly. He kneeled down and kissed my stomach and trailed down until I forcefully pushed him into the water to experience. Wow.

After a long cold shivering bath, we returned to out glowing tent. We blew off the candles inside and welcomed the moonlight sneaking in. I and Alex held onto each other, skin on skin and watched the moon on the water. We said nothing. We did nothing. But we held on to each other until sleep knocked us.

Before drifting off, I smiled loving the new body I held inside with Alex inside of me. I snuggled into his neck and kissed one more time before I snored into screaming colors.

I left behind my insecurities, bad memories, lonely days, everything and smiled to a new beginning.
