「 Todoroki's POV 」

Hearing something heavy hit the ground outside, I perked up from where I sat with Himari on the kitchen floor. I told the girl to stay there with Mitsuru while I got up and checked the door. I opened it and saw Yaoyorozu laying passed out on my front porch.

"Momo?!" in pure shock and instinct, I called her by her first name and kneeled down.

I heard footsteps coming from inside my house and soon Himari was out here on the porch as well. I quickly got up, pushing her suitcase into my house before picking the raven-haired woman up and telling Himari to follow me as I started to speed walk towards the train station, when I noticed that Himari was falling behind, I stopped and picked her up as well, even though I struggled to do so, it worked after a while.

I started to run down the pavement, my heart beating faster as I ran and my lungs protesting against the weight that I was carrying with me. Once I finally got to the hospital, I went to the emergency section, mostly out of my own panic, I had no clue if it was serious or not, but I didn't want to risk anything.

I managed to get a nurse to take her away and I was left to wait with a shaken around Himari. I sat down and let her climb up on the seat next to me. My leg was bouncing up and down from my own anxiety, Himari was curled up in a ball and staying close to me, I only guessed that she was scared of the other people in the emergency room. I put my hand on her head and ruffled her hair around gently, trying to get her to calm down, but she didn't seem to go out of her spooked state.

I wasn't sure how long it had been before the nurse came back out. Five hours? Six? I couldn't recall, but I knew that Himari had fallen asleep in the seat next to me. I had been staring at the clock, but my brain didn't register the numbers that were displayed on it. It felt like an eternity, for each hour we had waited, the more my heart started to twist and turn inside my chest.

When the nurse finally came back, I gently shook Himari to consciousness, she perked up and asked for 'mama' who I could only assume she meant Yaoyorozu. The nurse stated that Yaoyorozu had had a pneumothorax, or in simpler terms, she had popped her lung and that she would be back on her feet in no-time. The nurse also stated that she would be able to go home the same day and that the bill would be sent with her.

I let out a sigh and decided to pay the bill for Yaoyorozu right here and right now. After what she had been through, I didn't want extra expenses to be put on her that could potentially worsen her mood.

I picked up Himari once Yaoyorozu had been discharged from the hospital and helped her home to my place, since all her things were already there and she had been told to not do too stressful activities, we had decided quietly that she were to stay at my place until her lung had healed, then she would move out to her own place, hopefully, and take Himari with her.

Once we were back at my house, I helped her inside and told her that she would take my bed and I would sleep on the couch.

"No no, Todoroki~san, you take the bed!" Yaoyorozu insisted, looking up at me with her cat-like eyes.

I shook my head, "no, you'll take the bed, don't try to argue your way out of it," I replied and walked inside, Mitsuru following after me while he 'sang the song of his people', aka, meowing really loudly in hopes of getting my attention.

I started to change the bedsheets, Mochi hopping up on the bed and starting to smack and play with the sheets as I tried to pull them off. I couldn't help but chuckle once Ayame pounced on her with her stubby legs and both of the cats falling off the bed while Mitsuru silently judged them from a corner.

After at least 25 minutes of struggling, I managed to make the bed properly and called for Yaoyorozu who came walking with Himari clinging to her leg.

"Thank you.. Todoroki~san.. I really mean it.. I don't know what I would have done if you didn't do anything back then.." Yaoyorozu sighed, "I'll repay you somehow.. That's a promise."

I felt my heart ache as I replied, "I don't need repayment, think of this as a friendly gesture.. From.. A friend, yeah. Uh-"

"Y-Yeah!" Yaoyorozu replied, awkwardly.

"But you two aren't friends.." Himari mumbled sadly from behind Yaoyorozu.

"O-Oh? What do you think we are then, Himari~chan?" Yaoyorozu asked.

"You are Mama and Papa!" Himari said with a frustration in her voice.

Yaoyorozu's face became as red as the left side of my hair and my left shoulder ignited slightly at the thought.

Himari pouted, "I want both my Mama and Papa together!" she flailed her tiny arms in the air, pouting.

Yaoyorozu looked at me with wide eyes and then back down at Himari, and back at me, and at Himari, and so on before she finally decided to calm down, she didn't want to crush Himari's dreams so she only nodded and replied with, "m-mhm, sure- let's go to bed, alright?" she shooed me away which I obeyed to, rushing out of the rooms and taking the cats with me.

I closed the door gently and walked over to the couch, grabbing the nearest blanket and getting undressed before laying down on the couch and pulling the blanket over me. I heard the sound of paws against the floor to then felt a weight by my back, I assumed that it wad Mitsuru who had come to join me on the couch. Either way I didn't mind my cats sleeping in the same bed as me, even though a couch didn't exactly classify as a bed, it was still the same concept. With Mitsuru by my side, my body slowly but surely got heavier and eventually, I fell asleep.

I AM SO SORRY FOR NOT GETTING A CHAPTER OUT, I'M NOT DEAD, I SWEAR!
