Captain Rex looked at Darth Vader, sweating. He had never experienced so much pain. He looked at the woman in front of him. He shook his head in attempt to stop her form revealing where Ahsoka was. He would do anything to stop this monster that had consumed Anakin Skywalker. All he wanted right now was to wake up from this nightmare. But he couldn't.

"This is your final chance, clone scum" sneered Darth Vader, "Tell me where Tano is or I will make your brother one of my more useful weapons."

"I will never tell you, Anakin." replied the prisoner, staring at him. She knew that deep down Anakin was still somewhere. She just needed to find him. " Remember when you first met Ahsoka and never wanted anything to do with her and then you forged a bond. You both taught each other and grew up."

"Anakin Skywalker was weak," responded Darth Vader, his eyes narrowing on her. " I destroyed him."  He looked back at the Clone Captain, " You haven't answered my question yet...." He pressed a couple of buttons form behind his desk.

From the side of his head, Rex could make out both of the weird drills coming towards his head. He looked directly at the prisoner, trying to look confident. " Tell Ahsoka where we are now."

The prisoner looked at her close friend before sinking into the Force. She felt the pain of Darth Vader trying to break through her defensives. She reached out and let the Force guide her.

"Ahsoka...." She could feel another presence by her side. It didn't feel dark. It was warm and welcoming. She turned to see her best friend, looking stressed but relieved.

"I'm here, Jade..." Ahsoka Tano gave her a small smile. " You don't have a lot of time...Anaka- I mean Vader, is making his way through.

" I'll find you, Jade. I promise."

" You need to save my brothers," responded Jade. " Vader's got some sort of brainwashing machine that wipes their minds, turning them into mindless machines.

"Echo's one of his latest victims...This is even worse than I thought it would be."

Ahsoka looked at her friend for a second. Her eyes looked startled. " Vader's almost here.

"I must go, Jade."

"Go to Mandalore." Pain echoed through her body. "Find Obi-Wan." 

Ahsoka faded away. 

Lurking behind her, Darth Vader grabbed her around the throat. "You reached Tano, I see." He smiled, his grasp became tighter.  " Now tell me where she is...."

Jade looked at Vader before sinking back into reality. As she looked around she could see Darth Vader back on his seat. Something didn't look right though. His body looked limp, yet he was breathing. Suddenly his hand moved. It reached out towards the single button that was about to destroy Rex. 

Just before she could reach to stop the hand, she found herself, stunned on the floor. The last thing she saw was the boot of Echo kicking her in the head.

Everything went pitch black.

Darth Vader sat up, smiling. "Good bye, Rex." 

Synchronised, both of the drill whirred into the head of Captain Rex.

He looked at the limp body of Jade. Pain channelled up and down his spine. He yelled out in agony as she watched Jade's body being dragged out of the room. He could see Darth Vader leaving behind the body, looking back at him as he left. The intense pain triggered memories of the Clone War, both good and bad.  He began to sweat as he watched Cody shoot down Obi-Wan Kenobi. He watched Darth Vader slash down younglings. He watched his brothers kill each other. He watched the Jedi fall down one by one. He watched domino squad fall.

Now it was his turn to fall.

"May the Force be with you....'soka" He murmured, drawing his final breath.

Captain Rex was gone.
