It all started out with anna
not even noticing the young boy.

                             "It's like screaming, but no one can hear you. You
                                    almost feel ashamed that someone could
                                         be that important. that without them,

                                                     you feel like nothing."

       she didn't know what to feel. she couldn't even feel to be honest. numb covered her whole body and she felt frozen in time as she waited in the waiting room. the tears scratching at her eyes finally poured out as the doctor walked into the room. he held the clipboard close to his chest and held a small smile on his face. anna shot up from her chair and awaited for him to answer her one question.

      "is he going to be okay?" she asked quickly. the doctor took a long sigh before looking up to her, straight into her eyes.

      "he's going to be perfectly fine." he smiled. "but we don't know when he'll wake up. approximently one to two hours is our best guess."

       "can i go see him?" she questioned, hoping the young man would let her see him.

       "of course." he answered. "just be careful with the wires. he's room 208."

       "thank you so much."

       the doctor nodded and watched as anna quickly walked her way through the door and to room 208. her anxiouness bounced off the walls as the numbers went up and up and up until the number appeared on the door. she quickly grabbed the door knob and twisted it, her excitement building up as she opened it very slowly.

       that's when she saw him. laying in bed with all kinds of wires hanging from his body. stitches on his forehead. his wet clothes piled in the corner. his little snores filled the silence the room and all anna could do was smile. oh she smiled so big she couldn't even help but have it stretch ear to ear.

     but then her worry started to fill her up. as she watched lucas rest, she knew she was the reason for destroying him. she didn't know if he was trying to commit suicide, but she knew that lucas almost died because of a stupid note. she didn't even understand why she wrote it. she would laugh at herself if she wasn't so tired and drained. thinking that she could survive a day without him.

    hours ticked by and the heart moniter kept going off.

    beep beep.

     beep beep.

      beep beep.

     and it continued on for days. lucas still slept and anna tried her best to.

     thats until she finally did find some sleep. she slept for three hours in an uncomfortable chair holding on to lucas' hand.

      when she woke up, lucas was staring at her. not in a bad way or creepy way, but in a loving way. the way he kept staring in to her eyes and smiling, telling her that everything was okay. he kept holding on to her hand through the hours as they talked.

      but as he continued to stare as she rubbed her eyes, she let out a soft giggle.

       "what?" she asked as she stared back at his blue ones.

                  "I love you." lucas said loudly. "I love you so fucking much."

      and with that anna smiled. for the first time ever, lucas said it to her. i love you.

     with everything in that moment, she had forgotten about the past events and just focused on him. wondering what she had to do to put up with him and if she could survive years and years with him. and of course, she said yes. she would do anything to be with him. anything. and i think that's the only reason why she's alive today. thanks to the tall giant in tight skinny jeans, lucas hemmings.

                                  "I love you too, Lucas." she smiled. "So fucking much."
