Chapter 1
*please check media for clothes that Ava is wearing.*
The trees stood still, the forest echoed with the sounds of creaking wood. No birds chirped on this fine warm day, no rodents scurried, nothing made a sound except for the trees, the rivers and streams, and the slight wind. Ava confidently walked through the golden-orange leaves of Autumn that lay on the ground, they crunched loudly as she walked. Ava straightened her denim jacket and black shirt underneath, her plain maroon leggings felt cozy against her smooth legs, the light weight fuzzy tan boots she was wearing covered half of her knee high brown socks, and she wore a small brown beanie and fluffy gloves to finish off the outfit.
A loud bang was heard, Ava looked around and smirked. "Oh Princey... Why do you do this? Never mind. But um, hey! I'm just gonna beat you like I always do!" She yelled to no one specifically, her voice echoed in the forest. Bending down to get a better look, she saw a small bullet embedded into a tree root by her foot, "Nice guys! Real nice! Aiming for my feet so I can't run? You know, I bet you guys could be professional losers if you tried just a little bit more!" She laughed and looked around, soon spotting a sniper guy supposedly hidden in a tall oak tree. Ava turned towards the tree and started walking up to it, never taking her eye off the sniper. "You know, I can see you." She said plainly with a smirk, the sniper guy just laughed, "I know." He replied. A twig snapped and Ava spun around to see four guys standing in front of her. The first guy was bald, the second guy had a dark green jacket, the third guy had a knife, and the last guy had a knife and stick.
Ava smiled, "When will you guys ever quit? Ya know, you're starting to get on my nerves." she rolled her eyes and cracked her neck. The guy with the knife dove at her, she spun on her heels and watched as he tripped, stumbling forward and nearly dropping the knife. "Hm... You guys are weaker than I thought." Ava placed a hand on her hip, an act of arrogance and confidence. "At least tell me your names fellas. I want to know who is trying to kill me." She sighed, looking at all five guys, if you include the sniper dude.
There was just silence, no one spoke, and Ava was getting annoyed. "Ugh. If you don't want to tell me who you are then I guess I'll have to leave your grave stones empty." she grumbled, placing two fingers in her mouth and whistling a high pitched tune. For a few moments the guys stood there dumbfounded, until the sniper realized what was happening and a panicked expression took hold of him. "Guys we need to leave! She just called her GAAHHHH---" he was rudely interrupted by a large German Shepherd pouncing on him. He gasped as he fell to the ground, Alex was pinning him down, his teeth showing and dripping saliva as he growled. Ava laughed, "Good boy Alex. Now don't let him leave while I deal with the others." she smiled and turned to look at the four guys left. Alex nodded swiftly and turned his attention back to the sniper, his fur was spiking and his eyes showed his hunger for blood. He was a demon dog after all.
The guy with the knife glared at Ava, he opened his mouth to speak but Ava held up a finger to quiet him. "One sec. I need to fix my earring." She gave him one of those 'I'm a teenage girl so I have to do this' looks. He growled, and was a bit confused as Ava pulled out a shiny silver earring and put it in her right ear. Ava fiddled with the thing for a second, she smiled after she was done and rolled her eyes, "47, 23, 61." she spoke out loud. The men were confused, "What? What did you just say?" one of them asked and raised an eyebrow. Ava shrugged, "Coordinates. I'm surprised you've stayed this still for this long. But thanks for the easy win." she gave them a cute innocent smile and head tilt before a whirring sound echoed in the forest. *click* *click* *click* *click* and each guy fell to the forest floor dead, foam escaping their mouths and holes burning through their necks. "Hm. Nice job Alice." Ava walked over to the dead bodies, she knelt down next to one and poked it, "Gross." she gagged.
"No problem Ava. You know I love playing darts. hehehe"
Ava smiled, "Yeah. I know. Now I'm gonna go, gotta feed Alex." she stood back up and started walking towards the German Shepherd, who was still pinning the last guy down.
"Yup. Call me if you need me. I'm always ready to help."
"Mhm baiiii Alice."
"Baiiii Ava!"
And with that Ava hung up the call, taking out her earring and placing it gently back into her denim pocket. She shook her head happily before turning her attention towards her dog and the prisoner. "So Alex.... You hungry?" She asked the dog, his ears perked up and the once brown eyes turned a blood boiling red. Ava chuckled, "I guess that's a yes...." she looked at the sniper guy, "You messed with my walk. You tried to kill me. And you work for a scumbag like Prince. See you in Hell." she grinned. Looking at the hungry Alex she nodded, "Dig in.". The pleas from the guy were loud, his fear obviously shown on every inch of his being. Alex's mouth grew wider, his jaw unhinged and his teeth grew longer and sharper, flesh showing in parts where the fur didn't grow in his demon form. The man's screams stopped abruptly, all that was heard was a crunch as Alex's jaws snapped shut. Ava watched satisfied at the bloody scene, the once alive man now decapitated and dead on the forest floor, his soul being devoured by a demon straight from Hell. Ava nodded, "Good boy Alex. Now let's go home and get you cleaned up." she seemed a bit upset that she had to kill the guy, but it was too dangerous, and demon dogs only ate souls.
She shook her head, trying to push aside the half angel that was in her, that made her feel sorry for scum like them. Taking one last look at the dead men, Ava started walking in the direction of her home, Alex back in his normal form, but more bloody, following closely behind.
So what did you think? I'm sorry for the longest wait ever! I totally forgot about this and was very busy with school. Hope you enjoyed!
