Alexander's POV

I woke up the next morning with intense stomach pains, most likely dude to the punches the it received the night before. To be honest, it was well worth it because that was the happiest I've ever been within the last six years. "Get up bitch and get the fuck out!" my mom said banging on my door, scaring the hell out me. After that, she left my room. I was glad I didn't get a early morning smack or anything like that. "I have to get out of here fast before it's too late." I mumbled on the way to the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth, as well was other things and left to go back to my room. I got dressed and collected all of my things for school. As if the day couldn't get any worse, it's supposed to rain. I told you guys what happens when it rains.

I quickly made my way out the door, not before being tripped by my mom, making me hit my head on the door. Luckily it wasn't on the doorknob because I'm quite sure that wouldn't have been a nice scene whatsoever. "You're so fucking clumsy. It's not even funny." she said laughing. How it's not funny but you over there laughing? Like what? I rubbed my head and quickly left the house. Good thing I kept a medium sized umbrella in my book bag. Anything bigger would've been broken by them, due them beating me with it or just breaking it for the hell of it. I quickly texted Sage and told her to meet at our normal stop in 5 minutes. I wanted her to be early so I wouldn't run into my parents nor get drenched in some dirty ass water just because they thought it was funny.

When I got into the car, I could see what looked to be my parents approaching in the distance. "Sage just pull off real quick." I said calmly but she could feel the alertness from that tone. "Ok." she said confused but doing as I asked. I slipped down into my seat just in case my parents were casing the car from the back. "Xan, are you ok?" she asked concerned. "I think I'm being followed but I'm not sure. Make a left here." I said as she followed suit. I turned around to see if the car was following us but was relieved when it kept going straight. Guess it wasn't them (today at least). She continued on our normal route to school. "What was that about? Who's following you?" she asked.

"I don't know but I really felt like that car was following me for some reason." I lied. I know I should tell y friends the truth about what's going on at home but I don't wanna put them in any more danger. I know the truth is gonna come out one day but for the time being, I'm gonna keep this close to my chest. Only thing is, I don't know how much longer I can hold it all in before I either snap or break down. "Xan! Xan! Nigga!" I heard Sage yelling at me. I noticed that we were in the school's parking lot. Damn when did this happen. "What is going on? You been spaced out this entire ride. Are you sure you're OK?" she said with one eyebrow arched. "Yeah I'm cool. I was just reminiscing about my birthday yesterday." I said smiling. There you go again with the lies.

Sage looked at me in disbelief but dropped it and smiled at me. "It was fun wasn't it? I'm glad we could make your day baby boy. You ready to start our day?" she asked. "Yeah let's go." I said as I got out the car. "My babies made it!" Aurora said hugging us both. This girl is always so happy to see us. Probably one of the reason why I love her so much. I love Sage because she holds nothing back and always sticks up for us. You could say Aurora is the sugar while Sage is the spice, with me being that nasty cranberry sauce that your grandma tries to either put on your turkey or on the side of your plate at thanksgiving. We made our way into our first class, which happens English. We took our seats in the back as the teacher began to take role and began class shortly after that.

Lunch Time

"David is having a party tonight and we're going!" Aurora said, making me choke on the slice of pizza that I was eating. After I managed to stop choking, I took a deep breath before formulating my next sentence. "Who's we? You mean you and Sage right?" I said. There's no way in hell that they would want me at that damn party. "No the three of us. There's no way in hell that we would go without you!" Sage said. That's fine and all but how the hell am I gonna get out of my parent's clutches without them suspecting something? "He Sage could you ask your dad to ask for my permission to go?" I said. Remember when you used to do that with your friends? "Can you tell him to say that we're doing a project or something? My parents are kinda strict." I said.

"Sure. No problem! We're gonna have so much fun!" Sage said smiling. For the rest of the period, we just ate and talked school so far. When we were finished, we got up and threw our stuff out and decided to just sit in the auditorium for the last 10 minutes of the period. On our way out, we passed by David's table, with Dominic grilling the hell out of me for no reason. "The fuck you looking at bitch?" he barked. "Not your yellow highlighter ass. Shut the fuck up and eat your fucking food Sponge Bob Square Pants head ass." Sage shot back as we continued to our walk to the auditorium. "I can't wait till this day is over." Sage said with her head on my shoulder. "Who you telling? I'm so tired." I said, letting out a yawn. I closed my eyes and decided to take a ten minute nap. That nap felt more like ten seconds because I felt Aurora nudging me and Sage, letting us know that the bell rung. "Let's finish out the day strong!" Aurora cheered as we went to our last class.

End Of The Day

"I'm glad the day is over." I said stretching as we walked outside. "I see the sun decided to play with us today." Aurora said as we got to Sage's car. "I'll see you guys later. I'm going to go pick my outfit out then I'll be over your house later." she said as she hugged us and went to her car. Me and Sage got into her car and made our way towards her house. When we got there, both of her parents were home. "Alexander baby! How are you?" Mrs.Hines said hugging me. "I've been great mom. Hope pops is treating you right." I said. "Oh I'm always treating her right. You don't have to worry about that." Mr.Hines said walking into the living room. "Dad can I you do me a favor?" Sage asked him. "Sure thing. What is it?" he asked as Sage begin to tell him about us going to the party.

"Sure thing not a problem. We can go and tell them right now if you want." he said as I nodded my head yes. "We'll be right back." he said grabbing his keys and walking out the frint door with me right behind him. We made it to my house and he begin to explain to my parents about our class project, which he said would be worth 60% of our grade. Well played Mr. H, well played. To my surprise, my parents agreed and we left and went back to his car. "That was easy. You were nervous for nothing." he said laughing as he drove off. Once we made back to his house, I told Sage the good news and we both began to get ready for tonight. Once we picked out our clothes, we decided to take a nap until Aurora came. "Wake up you two, let's go." Aurora said as we got up and started to get dressed. "Have fun tonight kids and I want you guys home no later the 11:30!" Mr.H said sternly. "Ok Dad!" we all said as we got into Aurora's car.

When we got to the party, they were playing some pretty decent music. As soon as we walked in the door, everybody was looking at us. "What the fuck is he doing here?" Dominic yelled when he saw me. "I told y'all I shouldn't have came." I said to Sage and Aurora. "He's with us so shut the fuck up and mind your business." Sage said as he storm off and the party continued. We were when dancing, Dominic came up to me and threw a whole cup of water on me. "Get the fuck out fag!" he said with hate in his voice. My body has healed to about a good 75% so it was time to start fucking shit up. "Your an asshole! Fuck you do that for?" Sage said stepping up to him but I stopped her. I gave her that "I got this" look and handed her my phone.

I began to square up. "Oh you want a repeat of last time? Wassup?" he said getting into position. He threw the first punch and missed as I hooked him in his jaw. He got tried to swing again but missed again as I moved out the way and jabbed him in his right eye. "Fuck this." he said rushing into me but missing again and hitting his head on a nearby table. I just took that moment to start really beating his ass. I was beating the fuck outta him when I felt someone lift me in the air. "Aye! Aye! Aye! Break that shit up. Calm down lil nigga! If you punch me, We gonna be fighting next." I heard David yell. "Get off me." I said try to break out of his grip. "Not until you calm down. Y'all niggas in here fighting at my party." he said annoyed. "Your friend started that shit. If he would've just minded his business, none of this would've happened. I didn't want to come to this shit anyway." I said pissed off.

"What did you just say?" he said somewhat salty. "I said I didn't want to come. Especially not for this bullshit. I get enough of it at........nevermind." I said walking out of the room. I went back to partying with my friends, wet shirt and all. After we partied our little life away, we decided it was time to go. We left and went back to Sage's house to go to sleep. This was a weird day.

I decided to end it there lol.
