ch.3
A shrill scream echoed through the silent room startling the slumbering figure laying down in the queen sized bed to jolt awake from their slumber. The dazed teen slapped the button turning off the sound from her alarm that ruined her peaceful dreams as she shuffled out of the mess of sheets and plush blankets. She shuffled to the bathroom to begin her morning routine turning on the shower to the right temperature.

Silver stepped out of the bathroom her hair done and her makeup, while minimal, perfectly done. She smoothed out the final creases on her uniform with the still warm hair straightener before heading downstairs passing her brother who only just was woken by the shrieking banshee of his alarm clock.
"Morning Dylan." Silver said heading down the stairs taking them two at a time.
"Mmmning ilver" the tired boy muttered as an attempt at a greeting to his sister.
Silver stopped at the bottom of the stairs staring out the windows to the left and right of the door at the sky. The sun was rising basking the sky in beautiful hues of purples and reds with the slight hint of yellows and greens showing a promising hint of a clear day. Silver turned right heading into the dinning room that was connected to the kitchen with a door on the left wall and a back patio area with a door on the right wall. Silver wandered into the kitchen finding her mother finishing up breakfast and plating the food.
"Oh silver! Good morning dear, will you go yell to your brother that breakfast is about rea-" silvers mother began just as the boy came into the kitchen.
"Oh foods done alright need any help mom?" Dylan asked.
"Nope just go sit down" the woman said smiling.

Silver shuddered as she stood infront of the school, the sound of her mother's car driving off behind her sealing the realization that it was a new place with new people and new expectations and the feeling of uncertainty blossoming in her stomach.
"Bleak falls high" Silver mutter to her self, staring at the looming sign adorning the top of the school.
"It's just as bleak as the color trust me" A tired feminine voice said from behind silver causing the already worried girl to jump out of fright.
"You must be the new kid. Sorry about Luna she tends to forget her manners." A male voice said as silver turned around.
Behind her stood a girl and a boy. The girl had long black hair with a beanie on, a black jean jacket that was missing it's sleeves, a band tee, a pair of worn out black jeans, and a pair of black leather boots she was also holding a skateboard indicating her mode of transportation to school. The boy had short blond hair parted evenly in the middle, a sweater vest over a white polo, a pair of tan kakis, and a pair of white tennis shoes.
"I'm Jayden Octavia and this is my sister Luna Octavia we are what the school considers a welcoming committee for new students, you must be...." The boy paused as he looked at the folder in his arms clearly looking for a name.
"Uh Silver.... Silver Buckheart" silver muttered nervously.
" Ah yes Ms. Buckheart well welcome to our school follow us we will show you the way to the office to receive your schedule and then around the school before class." The boy, Jayden, said as he matched forward.
"Don't mind my brother he's got a bit of a stick up his rear ever since he got a scholarship to Harvard" Luna said sighing and following her brother.
Silver stood there for a second longer before chasing after to find the office. Upon entering the double doors to the school a rush of cool air engulfed the girl stopping her in her track for a moment as she looked around the cream colored hall before continuing after her new acquaintances on their journey to the secretary. The oak door stood open with a welcome mat outside the entrance way. The vibe coming from the doorway felt like the exact opposite however a foreboding feeling washing over the teen as she went to enter.
A crowd of student passed behind her as she stepped foot on to the carpeted floor from the harsh ashy colored linoleum. She looked around noticing a secretary whose name she couldn't quite announce giving her the classic 'tell me what you need and get out' look.
"Uhh.. hi ma'am my name is Silver Buckheart I came to pick up my schedule for the year" silver said half smiling.
"Ok" the secretary said turning in her seat and clacking away on the keyboard with a pair of newly manicured nails.
After a few moments a printer somewhere down a long hall behind the desk whirred to life as the lady stood and went to retrieve the paper. Upon walking back she handed the paper to Silver.
"Here you go, now since it's the first day for everyone there is no homeroom but normally you would report to the room listed at the top of your paper today is the day to learn where classes are, here is a slip with your locker number and combination, and your temporary student ID you will need to come back at lunch to get your picture taken for your permanent one that's everything for now good luck" the secretary said walking off to go answer a phone that had just started ringing.
"She's.... Cheerful" silver said walking out with Jayden and Luna.
"Yeah she's usually like that she hates kids" Luna said rolling her eyes. "Now let me see your schedule... Huh we have all the same classes"
"Well then Luna if that's the case you are in charge of being the tour guide" Jayden said.
"Alright Silver follow me then we will stop at our lockers, looks like we are neighbors" Luna shrugged as her brother walked off presumably to go find his own classes for the year.
Silver looked at her paper and saw that her locker number was locker #666 she then looked at her combination and saw it was 1442.
'oh great this isn't a bad omen if I ever saw one' Silver thought following Luna to their lockers.
~~~
Silver sighed lugging her backpack to her locker to grab and drop off any needed or unnecessary items so she could meet her mother at the front entrance. After closing her locker she turned to see a group of kids passing and chatting with one staring at her he had emerald green eyes and dark hair.
"Hey silver!" Luna said running up to the girl.
"Yeah? Sorry what's up?" Silver asked turning to the other girl.
"You seemed pretty cool today want to hang out sometime?" Luna asked offering silver a piece of paper with a number on it, silver assumed it was the girls cell number.
"Sure I wouldn't mind getting to know more about this town" Silver said accepting the paper as she and her new friend made their way to the front door.
Silver waved goodbye to Luna as she skated away her brother following behind with his own board. She turned to her mom and got in the car.
"So how was your guys first day?" Veronica asked as her son got into the car after his sister.
"It was so cool! The science teacher made a dead frog dance using nothing but a battery and some aluminum foil, and I made a couple of friends!" Dylan said obviously excited to be at the new school.
"Thats... Amazing hon" the twos mother said slightly green at the mention of a frog.
"I made a new friend to maybe two I'm not sure about her brother but she gave me her number to text so we can set up a time to hang out soon" silver said staring out the window at the trees and their orange and red leaves.
"Well that's good dear. I'm glad you two are making friends so early" the older woman smiled as they pulled up to the house.
The girl sighed as she followed her mother and brother into the house and went up to her room to begin her homework. After she finished she decided to draw until her mother finished dinner. She zoned out until someone snapping their fingers in her face brought her back to reality.
"SILVER!" her brother yelped staring at her frightened.
"Sorry I zoned out for a bit" the girl said chuckling slightly.
" You drew it again...." The boy said looking at his sister worried.
The girl looked at the paper and sure enough it was a drawing of that grey room with chains an unidentified girl coward in the corner. Silver quickly grabbed the paper and put it with the others in a box of drawings her family hadn't seen. Only her and her brother knew the contents of the box and the drawings.
"Just... Forget it let's go eat I thought I heard mom call us" silver said walking off.
With one last worried glance the boy left the room turning off the lights and following his sister downstairs.
