The next morning, I wake up and check my phone. I have three text messages from Ryder. I stare at my phone for a minute, then I read them.

"Erin, what time do you wanna meet today?"

"Let me know."

"Erin?"

I respond, "Hey, I just got up. We can meet for breakfast if you want."

"Sure, sounds like a plan. Meet me at this address."
103 Main Road, Los Angeles

"Okay. See you!"

I smile and jump out of the bed. I go over to my closet and rummage through it. There is literally NOTHING for me to wear that would look good. I sigh. I hear footsteps and turn around to see Caitlyn.

"Hey E, what are you doing?"

I look at her for a second and think about telling her. I can't tell her though.

"I'm going to run out and grab a bite of breakfast."

"Oh, well, I could eat. Do you want me to go with you?"

"No, no, I'll be fine. I can bring you something if you want."

"Why couldn't I come with you?"

I look nervously at her. "Because I'm meeting someone there."

She smiles. "Oh my god, does Erin Addison finally have a date?"

I laugh. "Yeah, I do."

She looks super shocked. "Who is it? Do I know him?"

"No, you don't. He's super sweet and very very handsome."

She smiles. "I'm so happy for you, babe. I can't believe this! Oh my god! Why are you guys meeting for breakfast though? That's a weird first date."

I look at her. "Oh um um it's kind of not our first date."

"Oh, wow. I'm so shocked, but I mean I'm just really glad you're happy. Maybe I can meet you him sometime."

I smile. "Of course, Cait. I really wish you could meet him right now, but I don't think we're ready for the world to know about us. If there even is an us."

She laughs. "I'm sure you guys are going to be together. Why wouldn't you? And if he ever hurts you or treats you bad, I'll beat him up."

I laugh.

"You better get to your date."

"I don't know what to wear." I laugh.

She gasps. "I have the perfect dress!"

She grabs my arm and runs to her room. She pulls out a pink flowery dress.

"Try it on."

I go into our bathroom and put it on. I look in the mirror and stare at myself.

I love it. Wow.

I walk out of the bathroom. Caitlyn smiles at me.

"E, you look beautiful. This guy would be an idiot to not fall for you. Now, you better get going. Have fun and call me when it's over!"

I smile. "Okay. I will."

I walk out the door and get in my car. I drive to the breakfast diner. I park the car and look around for Ryder. I hear my phone ringing and pick it up.

"Hey Ryder."

"Hey Erin, I'm here. I just parked."

"Okay, I'm in my car."

"Alright, I see you. I'm coming."

I hang up and see him open my car door. He smiles at me.

I get out and say, "Hey."

He smiles and says, "Hey Erin."

We walk into the diner and order our food. He insists that he will pay, so after a lot of arguing, I decide to let him. We walk to a table and sit across from each other.

I say, "So, my friend, Caitlyn asked where I was headed off to and I had to make up some story about having kind of a boyfriend. It was a stupid idea, but I didn't know what else to do."

He laughs. "Why are you telling me about this?"

I smile and say, "Oh, I thought you might want to know. I probably shouldn't have told you though. I'm sorry."

"No, Erin, it's fine that you did. I mean, I was just wondering why you couldn't tell her it was just me."

"I don't know. I felt like she'd freak out about it and accuse me of stealing her dream man."

He laughs. "Her dream man? She doesn't even know me."

"Everyone knows you, you're Ryder freaking Spence."

The waitress brings out our food and drinks. She looks at Ryder for a moment. That's when I realize what she looks like. She's a very petite woman. She looks about 25 and she's very pretty. She has blond hair and brown eyes.

Ryder looks up and asks, "Did you need anything?"

She looks nervous and replies, "Oh I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have stared. It's just my n-n-niece loves you and she'd kill me if I didn't get an autograph. Could you sign this? Her name is Amber."

She hands him a napkin.

He smiles. "Of course."

He signs the napkin and hands it back to her. She smiles and walks away. I look at him.

"See, I'm right. Everyone loves you."

He laughs. "Okay, they may think they know me, but there's really only a few people who know the real me."

I nod and eat my food. I look up and see Ryder smiling at me. I subconsciously wipe around my mouth as if there's something on my face.

"Is there something on my face?"

He smiles. "No, why?"

"You were looking at me like I had something on me."

"I was just looking at you because you're so beautiful."

I blush and finish eating. We get up and walk outside to our cars. He sits in my car for a few minutes so we can talk.

"My mom is still thinking about who the part should go to, but every time I get to speak, I recommend you."

"Why would you do that?"

"Because you're different than the other girls. You're real, and with you, it wouldn't be acting. I'd actually enjoy being with you."

I smile. "I'd enjoy being with you too. I've never actually had an acting job and I never actually meant to audition that day, you know that?"

"Really? You fooled me. Of course, when I first walked in, I was just ready to leave and you were the last audition. So, that's why I was just sitting in that chair. Then, I heard you speak and I felt like we were actually our characters and then when we kissed I-."

I heard my phone ring and sigh.

He smiles. "Go on, pick it up."

"I'm sorry."

I pick up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Is this Erin Addison?"

"Yes, this is her."

"I called to congratulate you on the part. This is Patricia Spence."

I glance over at Ryder and he's just scrolling through his phone.

"Wow, this is amazing. Thank you."

"We start filming tomorrow. I'll see you at 7 sharp."

She hangs up and I smile.

"Ryder, guess what just happened."

He looks up. "What?"

I smile at him. "I got the part."

AN: I am super sorry the wait. I've been very busy and I will be way more active from here on. I am very excited that we got to this part of the book. I have a lot in store for you all and it will be a crazy ride. This book will probably end up being about 50-60 chapters long. :)
