He smiles. "Congratulations Erin. I knew you'd get it."

I laugh and say, "Really?"

"Yeah, you were amazing."

"Caitlyn's gonna freak out when she hears about this."

"Is that a good or bad thing?"

"Both. Do they usually make a big deal about who they've cast and announce it all over social media and stuff?"

"Sometimes. I bet they will for this because of how much we're getting paid."

"Yeah. And how much is that?"

"I don't know for sure, but just trust me that it's a lot."

I laugh.

He smiles and says, "What time do you have to be there tomorrow?"

"7 in the morning."

"Oh, I don't get there until 9. Mom probably wants to talk to you about everything and show you around before everyone gets there."

"Yeah."

"Well, I better let you get home and prepare for tomorrow. Bye."

He waves and walks to his car. Then, I drive to mine and Caitlyn's apartment. About fifteen minutes later, I arrive and walk inside. Caitlyn's watching the news and I read a headline that says, "New cast members chosen for The Way You Hurt Me! You'll be excited."

Caitlyn looks up and sees me standing at the door.

"Hey! They're about to announce the cast. Come sit."

I hesitate. "Caitlyn, there's something I need to tell you."

She stands up and walks over to me. "Just come sit down and watch this for a minute with me, then you can tell me. Please, E."

She grabs my hand and pulls me over to the couch to sit with her.

The reporter on the screen says, "The Way You Hurt Me reportedly casted it's actors. For the main lead is of course Ryder Spence and he's playing Colton. We have Brandon Daniels playing Davis. For the female lead, we have reports that a new actress has been cast. This actress has never been on any tv show or movie. All of America probably doesn't ever know her. She goes to college at UCLA and her name is Erin Addison."

Caitlyn looks over at me. "Erin, what is going on?"

"Um, so this morning the producer kinda called me and told me I got the part. I have to be at the studio tomorrow at 7."

She stares at me for a second and then smiles. "E, I'm so happy for you. Is this what you were trying to tell me a few minutes ago?"

"Yeah. I'm sorry Caitlyn."

"No it's fine."

I hear the reporter in the background, saying, "Apparently Ryder Spence was seen out with his co-star Erin this morning. They were enjoying a nice brunch date. They seemed very cozy. Could they be together? Is this the reason why Erin got cast? We'll find out tomorrow when we interview the cast live on LA Live News."

Caitlyn hits my arm. "Seriously Erin? Your date was with Ryder?"

"Yeah. I'm sorry."

"Wait, so are you guys dating? Because all that stuff you told me this morning. Wow."

"No no no we're not dating. I just couldn't tell you about the date because I thought you'd go crazy."

"I mean, I'd love to be in your shoes right now, but I could never be mad at you because of this. There's not a chance."

I smile. "Thanks, Cait."

"You have an interview tomorrow? Your first interview," she shrieks.

"I guess so. Nobody told me about that, but I guess that's what Patricia will tell me tomorrow morning."

The next morning I pull into the studio parking lot and find my spot. Wow. I'm in the main front space. This is crazy.

I hear a tap on my window and look up to see a man with a security cap on.

"Hey, you must be Erin. I'm your security guy, Cayde."

"Hey Cayde, nice to meet you. Can you show me where Patricia's office is?"

"Of course, follow me."

I get out of the car and follow him into a huge office. The sign on the door says:
Patricia Spence: Producer

I knock on the door and within five seconds, her assistant opens the door. She nods and then walks out the door.

"You can go on in, Cayde come with me please."

Cayde follows her out the door and they leave the building. I walk inside the office and see Patricia sitting there.

"Hello, dear. How are you doing?"

I smile. "I'm good. I'm a little surprise to say the least."

"I'd say so. You're a newbie to this world, everyone's dying to get to know you. As I'm sure you've heard there's an interview tonight with you and Ryder."

"Yeah, I just heard on the news station last night. What time is it?"

"10," she says.

"This morning, as in two hours later?"

"Yes, of course. You'd better be going to hair and makeup and getting ready."

"Oh, okay. Thanks."

I get up and walk out the door. I walk downstairs and end up back on the set. I look around and try my best to find hair and makeup. While I'm looking around and walking I bump into someone. I don't recognize him, so I just stare at him. He has gorgeous brown eyes and jet black spiked up hair. He sticks out his hand for me to shake.

"Hey, I'm Brandon," he smiles and helps me up.

"I'm Erin. Erin Addison," I smile back.

"I know," he responds.

"Wait, you actually know who I am?"

"Of course I do, you're the star of this project. I have to know you."

"Oh, right."

"So where were you off to?"

"I was trying to find hair and makeup because I have to go to an interview in two hours and I have no clue where it is."

"Okay hair and makeup is right there," he points at a small building.

"Thank you so much. I owe you for this."

"Trust me, it's nothing. I'll see you around, Erin."

"Wait are you not going to the interview?"

"Nope, it's just you and Ryder."

"Oh. See you!" I smile at him.

I hurry off to the hair and makeup building. When I walk inside I see a short, average sized woman, who looks about 30. She's wearing a tied up t-shirt and a pair of cut off jeans. She's got a light blond hair color and her hair is up in a messy bun. She notices me and stands up.

"Hi Erin, I'm Tina, the hair and makeup coordinator."

"Hey Tina," I smile.

She smiles and tells me to sit down. She decides to curl my hair and put it up into a bun, leaving a few strands down. For my makeup, she just does a basic look with bright red lip stick. After about an hour she's done. The door opens and in comes Ryder. He stops when he sees me.

"Wow, Erin, you look amazing."

"Thank you, so do you."

He's wearing a black suit and his brown hair is just so perfectly gelled up.

"Not as good as you," he smiles, "Are you ready to go?"

"As ready as I'll ever be."

"You guys have fun," Tina says.

"Thanks Tina," I say.

We walk out the building and go over to the parking lot. Ryder's car is parked right beside mine, so he opens the passenger door on his car and I get in. He hops in the other side and we drive off to the news studio.

After about 40 minutes, the show is finally starting.

The host says, "Hey everyone. Welcome to L.A. News Live and I'm here today with two of the stars of The Way You Hurt Me, Ryder Spence and Erin Addison. First question is for Erin. How does it feel to have been cast in this amazing series?"

"Wow, I honestly don't even know. I kinda freaked out when I found out I got the part. This is a remarkable series and it's going to be amazing that I'm actually a part of it."

"Yes, that's true. This series is for sure going to be a success. Now, Ryder, it's nice to see you again. The fans have been dying to know, were you in the room when she auditioned and did you push for Erin to get the part?"

"It's great to see you again, Sherry. Yes I was in the room when she auditioned, and I strongly wanted her to get the part. She was amazing at her audition and if she's half as good as that when production starts, you guys will be super impressed."

I smile at him and say, "Thanks Ry."

"No problem," he smiles back.

"Okay," Sherry states, "You guys are a perfect couple. Please tell me you're together."

"Ooh, sorry Sherry, we're not." I say.

"Actually," Ryder grabs my hand, "We might not be together, but we did have a date yesterday."

"Did you now?" Sherry asks.

"Yes we did and it was amazing. She's amazing," Ryder smiles and says.

To make up for me being super inactive I decided to write this semi-long chapter. I hope you enjoyed. You guys got to meet Brandon and Tina. And the interview has only just begun.
