We all sat in rows at long wooden tables near the serving stadium. The wolf that won before gave a long speech and sat down near the headmaster. "That should have been me" I thought silently. Even being shy I couldn't help the envy. I looked around at many faces in the seating area that I had learned to recognize even if many hadn't cared for me. Finally the headmaster himself got up and talked nonstop. The only part I caught was when he made a last minute announcement. "As you all know after the feast we will be gathering outside these walls. We have chancily accepted a family reunion. Invitations have been sent out a week ago to parents and relatives. This is not ment to offend anyone and hope to see you all there. NOW LET THE FEAST BEGIN!" As we stared at the different food choices like predator and prey our plates were piled high with different scented pork, gravy, chicken, and small milk cartons. After a couple minutes they added roles to the meeting. I grabbed at things as quick as possible as many options started to disappear. It was like a mad house. I sat down on the same spot as before and took in the wonderful aroma of warm butter, crispy bread, and juicy and chewy meat. Everyone's mouth watered like crazy. As for me I couldn't help feeling sick after a while of munching and snacking. Half because of fear that no one would show for me at the reunion and half because my stomach was about to explode from eating way too much. Once everyone's plate was cleaned off and sent to the kitchen we lined up to make our way outside. "Here goes nothing" I pondered.
