~The News~

Still Dylan's perspective :)

I quickly let go of her and blushed.
"S-sorry, Sky,"
I looked up at her. She was crying a little bit. She, then, got up and ran out of her door.
I sat there.
Like an idiot.
Just as idiotic as when I ran from her room.
I wanted to go follow her but, I didn't think it was a right thing to do.
I was dumbfounded. Literally.
I.. I HATE MAKING PEOPLE CRY!!!!
I wiped my eyes and looked out the window.
"SunMan, I made a major mistake. I-it was not my fault. I need to fix it. Any ideas?" I whispered.
The clouds kept moving and the sun ignored me.
I heard a noise behind me and turned around.
Sky was in the doorway, her eyes wide.
At least I wasn't the only one who looked dumbfounded.
I looked down and blushed.
"O-oh, hi," I mumbled.
I couldn't face her. I was a dramatic, 14-year-old boy who ran out of a girl's bedroom.
"Dylan, I'm so sorry! I just needed a break. I tend to get really emotional when others cry.." I could feel her eyes on me.
"And, I really needed that hug. T-thanks, you made my day...." She stuttered.
"H-huh. You're welcome. I-I'm sorry again for running o-out on y-y-" I started bawling again.
I just stood there. Rubbing my eyes every now and then.
I felt arms around me. They squeezed tightly.
Sky.
She was h-hugging me.
My mind was racing. My eyes were cuckoo. I was shivering and shaking.
I was outta control.
"Stop," I said, outta no where.
She backed away from me.
"What?" She said, out of surprise.
"Just, you don't need to hug me. I'm fine. Really." I sadly smiled at her and walked out of the door and to my house.
"Oh, hello Dylan! Home so soon? I have news!" My father called.
I groaned and acted happy.
"Oh yeah? What is it?" I walked into the kitchen.
"Sky's family is going on a camping trip and they invited us! They said we could bring the bike and ride in the sand!" My Mom smiled at me.
"Where? When?" I asked. I was pretty excited now.
"Moses Lake tomorrow. Carpool." Dad said.
"Trailer?" I lifted up my eyebrow.
"Yep!"
I shrieked in my head and ran up to my room.
My room!
Where is it?
Suddenly, everything went black.

I woke up inside a car.
Sky's I'm guessing.
Did I really sleep through the whole night?
Well, I guess I haven't had sleep for like 3 days. We were driving.
I looked out the window.
There was a yellow field.
Wheat.
I looked on the other side of me.
SKY!!!!
She was sitting right next to me.
She was looking out the window and didn't know I was watching her.
There was no reflection, thank God.
Her hair was silky and long.
Without thinking I reached out.
DYLAN! Don't do it! That's a bad choice!!
I pulled my hand away as she scooted closer to me.
She scooted closer.
And closer.
And closer.
Until she was against me.
She was breathing heavily. I could feel it.
She was also warm. Very warm. In fact, the car was burning! It was scorching.
I didn't wanna ruin Sky's moment close to me.
I-I kinda enjoyed it. NOT LIKE THAT!!! NEVERMIND!!!
My arm accidentally hit her.
"Sorry Sky!" She looked back at me. Her face was totally red.
She scooted away from me, quickly.
"U-uh, it's okay! Sorry I was so close! Heh.." She looked away.
I smiled. This was nice. I was so excited to go ride in the sands!
"Hey Sky, are you excited to ride in the sands?" I pumped my fist in the air.
"I'm so stoked!!! Moses Lake is my favorite!"
She smiled at me and pointed out the window.
There was a field of wild horses, running by in the sunlight.
It was getting dark.
We stopped at the edge of a small cliff with a beach below.
It was the coolest sight ever!
