Rapunzel's POV
I was at my locker putting away my things. They had announced that we would be having an assembly in an hour and we could do whatever between that time. I was having trouble shoving my backpack in when a familiar voice said, "Need some help?" I turned to the person and smiled. "Yes please Jack!" He smiled and skillfully put away my stuff and closed my locker. "There you go." "Thanks" I said quietly. He laughed. I liked his laugh, it was joyful and cute. "Would you like to attend breakfast with me this morning m'lady?" He joked. "I think I'd enjoy that very much sir." I giggled. We sat down in the cafeteria at a table for two. There was almost no one else in here. "What would you like to eat?" He asked. "Pancakes and orange juice" I replied. He came back carrying a plate piled high with pancakes and balancing two cups of orange juice on his arm. "Order up!" He shouted. I giggled. He set everything down and sat in his chair before saying, "You my friend, have very good taste in food." I smiled, and we dug into our breakfast. "So," I asked breaking the silence, "Where are you from? I mean not to be rude or anything but your skin tone doesn't exactly say Florida." "Actually," He replied, "I am from Florida. I used to go to a different school though, Dream Works Academy." "Oh? You must not get out in the Sun much. Do you?" I questioned. He looked at me and said, "If I tell why I'm so light do you promise not to freak out?" He searched my eyes looking for an answer. I nodded. What could it possibly be? Probably a skin disease or something ordinary. "I have magical powers that allow me to control the cold and I can fly." Then again, Jack wasn't ordinary. He bit his lip afraid of what I might say. I almost spit out my orange juice, but somehow I believed him. I looked at him and said, "I believe you." His jaw dropped. "Really?!" He looked astonished, baffled even. "Yep, 'cause I have magical powers too." I smirked. "Really?!" He said again. I nodded. "You can't really tell how long my hair is because it's in a braid, but it's actually 75ft long and it glows when I sing a special song. It can heal people too. But I'm thinking about cutting it. When I cut it it'll turn brown and prevent anyone from using its power selfishly. It can bring back youth and I've been used in the past. So yeah I'm probably gonna cut it." "Cut it?!" He gaped. I nodded slowly. "I mean it's not my place for me to say this but I think you should keep it. That's an amazing power and besides...I think it looks beautiful on you." He blushed. I realized I was leaning forward and so was he. We were so close now our lips were almost touching! He was going to kiss me! Suddenly a voice was heard over the intercom and we snapped our heads back. It was Principal Mickey, and he had picked the absolute worst time to announce it was time for the assembly.

Jack's POV
Well thanks a lot Principal Mickey for ruining the moment! We got up and threw our trash away. We walked out the door together and slowly but surely, I reached for her hand. Our hands touched and she looked down surprised. I quickly pulled away and muttered a, "Sorry..." I smiled when she grabbed my hand and kept it there. Her hands were so warm. They felt perfect in mine, like they were made for each other.

Rapunzel's POV
He brushed my hand and startled me in the process. My hand recoiled by instinct and he pulled his hand away with a sad look. I realized he had tried to hold my hand. I quickly grabbed his hand and he looked at me with a crooked smile. I couldn't help but notice how my hands fit perfectly in his. His hands were kind of cold but I liked that. They felt cool against my warm skin. We walked all the way to the assembly just like that.
