"Duke, please no! I know I'm gonna see those eyes again!" Max cried in terror, his tail tucked between his legs and his fur bristling in fear. Sharing a look with Snowball, Duke pointed out, "Dude, all I'm saying is that you should take a nap. You look awfully tired. The both of you do." He directed the last part towards Snowball. The white rabbit didn't feel like arguing with the giant mutt. He was currently stressed out from trying to find the murderer.

"But-" Max tried to protest. However, he stopped when Gidget brushed up against him. "How about I sleep beside you, just to keep you calm?" she suggested, licking his cheek. Sighing, Max mumbled, "Alright." Duke breathed a sigh of relief as his brother laid down his bed beside his girlfriend. Nearby, Snowball had fallen asleep on the couch.

Snowball woke up to find himself in some sort of dark forest. Clouds were forming into a dark mass high above his head. Looking around, the rabbit saw two red eyes. And they were coming closer to him. At last, a giant wolf with long claws stepped out into the open. His eyes wide with fear, Snowball watched frozen in place as Scourge raised one of his forepaws, ready to strike.

Before that could happen though, Snowball successfully woke up in a split second.

"Gidget?" Max called out, finding himself in pitch black darkness. He couldn't even see his own paw in front of his face. Heart pounding in his chest, he felt blindly felt his way around, trying to find a way out of the dark. Up ahead, he saw a light. Delighted, he ran towards it. Reaching it however, he realized with horror that it was a raging bonfire. And it quickly engulfed him before he could run away...
