"Fun suckers..." Snowball grumbled, hopping down from the wooden box he had been standing on. He turned off the flashlight he had been using while Duke went over to switch the lights back on. Chloe and Gidget went to open the curtains. Watching them, Max muttered, "Did you really need to make this room as dark as possible?"

"Yeah, how else are you going to tell a spooky story?" Snowball replied, smiling. Max didn't smile back at the rabbit. Just then, Pops pointed out as he passed by, "Myron and I believe you scream like a little girl." The hamster beside him nodded his head. Jaw dropping in shock, Max exclaimed, "I do not!"

"Sure, okay," Chloe mumbled as she came over, "Whatever helps you sleep at night."

"Ripper, you okay?" Tattoo asked as he and Derick stood by the boxer. Bearded Dragon was trying not to get stepped on. Leonard and Ozone were looking down at Pepe, who had fainted within the first second of the story. Beside Ozone, Nitro's black fur was puffed up. Sweetpea was currently throwing up in the bathroom, Mel and Buddy waiting outside the door.

"On a scale of one to ten, how scary was that story?" Snowball asked.

"I'd give it a nine and a half," Gidget responded.

"No no no. That was more of a ten," Duke voiced his opinion.

"A hundred and fifty nine," Buddy piped up.

"Infinity and beyond..." Mel joined in, his eyes wide open with fear.

"What did I miss?" Norman squeaked, looking around. Everyone turned their heads to discover that Tiberius had covered the young guinea pig's ears. "Dude, seriously?! You mean to tell me he hadn't heard any of it!" Snowball exclaimed, saddened that he hadn't scared everyone in the room. Glaring at the white rabbit, the old hawk growled, "Like I was going to let him be traumitized for life!"

"Sweetpea, are you sure you don't need any help?" Buddy asked, lightly tapping the door. The dachshund was answered by a hacking noise.

"Maybe we should all head home. Our owners will be here soon," Gidget suggested quietly.

"Sounds like a plan to me," Max agreed with his girlfriend. As the animals went their seperate ways, they had no idea what they had just done to themselves...
