Having had closed his eyes in fear, Tiberius opened them now to find Norman laying on the ground beside him. There was a massive bite mark on the back of his neck. The guinea pig was twitching violently as blood slowly ran down from the wound. Foam frothed from his mouth and his eyes were wide with terror. Horrified, the old hawk spun around to face off against the rattlesnake. However, it was gone.

"Tiberius..." Norman whimpered, his shaking starting to grow. Curling up around the young guinea pig, Tiberius nuzzled his small friend as he whispered, "I'm so sorry little guy. I shouldn't have let you go on your own." His body giving off a huge shudder, Norman suddenly stopped moving. Breathing hard, the old hawk pulled the guinea pig closer to him as tears ran down his face. At that moment, Gidget showed up.

"Come on, we're heading home. Mel almost died..." Gidget's voice trailed off when she saw Norman's body. The Pomeranian remained speechless, left wondering why someone would do such a thing. Feeling the warmth leave his little friend, Tiberius broke down as his heart shattered to pieces.
