One day, whether it be near or far, we must accept that we will die. Our demise is only a step away, and even if we try to escape it, we will inevitably end up at death's door. My father was the first to go. His own stubbornness led to him trying to kill me, and as the events played out, killed him instead. I had not seen it coming, however, I knew nothing good was going to come out of me staying at that house. I was needed, and it was not there.

Vestele had never been so conflicted in her life. Her father, whom she had no love for, fell to his death. She knew she was not to blame, but even so, her mother and daughter seen it differently. When he fell, they screamed at her, blamed her, and threw things at her. She knew she had to leave, and there was no going back. Her inevitable fate was calling her, and word from the Greybeards was that dragon sightings were increasing.

Vestele looked over her room once again, all of the belonging that were not being taken with her, were to be burned before she left. She sighed and shook her head, perhaps to shake the negative memories from her head.

"I must leave, there is no place for me in this house anymore." Vestele said as he grabbed her bag, the belongings she was to burn, and used magic to gradually float down to the ground. Once she was outside, she placed the belongings behind the house, and set them on fire with a spell. The nighttime seemed to make the fire burn brighter, for it made her face glow against the flame. She stood there, starring, but was mentally reflecting on herself.

She was born with a gift that some people considered a curse, was betrayed by her family, and in the future, will cause the deaths of many. Her willpower and sense of justice allowed her to push away what she found as negative, and instead allowed her to look forward to become stronger and officially becoming the Dragonborn for the people of Skyrim.

"I, Vestele Loceath, am Dragonborn. I did not ask for it, nor do I know why it was given to me specifically, but I will not run away. I was destined to contain and use this power for the sake of the people, and I will live on to do so." Vestele said as she pulled her bag onto her shoulder. She turned, the fire still burning, and pulled a cloak over her head. She was set for Skyrim, and she was not going to turn back.

As mundane and boring as it may sound, that was the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I had no regrets, nor did I have any lingering feelings in that house. I did not care about what happened to my family back in Leyawiin. They were my biological family, but my real family was in Skyrim, with the people whom lived there. My sister said to me before my parents filled her head with delusions that she felt a calling. That she was suppose to be somewhere else. I do not know if she was sincere, but I know what she meant. My place was in Skyrim, and to Skyrim, I went. I became a worthy Dragonborn, one that would be taught about in school, wrote about in books, and remembered as a hero that saved humanity as we know it. You may be the first, or the last person to read my beginnings, but I hope that you have learned from this. Everyone has a place, and everyone has a calling. Know that no matter what anyone says, no one can stop you.
