We may not be right in the eyes of others, but we cannot ignore what the future holds for us.

"How long? HOW LONG DID YOU KNOW YOU WERE DRAGONBORN?!" Eryden screamed at Vestele as she sat in her chair in the living room. She remained calm and did not answer him. Venessie stood opposite of her with her arms crossed, a childish look on her face.

"It wasn't suppose to be you. It was suppose to be me!" Venessie shouted, tears threatening to come out of the corners of her eyes. Larissa and Eryden comforted her, while whispering to themselves. Venessie abruptly stood up and walked in front of Vestele. She brought her hand down and attempted to slap her, but Vestele caught her hand before she could do so.

"Your actions will not justify your feelings nor will they change what has already been decided." Vestele stated, standing in front of Venessie. Vestele brought her face close to Venessie and starred into her eyes.

"Stop being a child and accept the fact that your foolish assumptions gave you the feelings you have now." She said viciously before turning to go to her room. Venessie scoffed and sat down where Vestele was sitting previously. Larissa and Eryden turned to Venessie and was about to speak, but got cut short when a knock came to their door. Eryden opened the door with caution to see a guard all the way from the Imperial City. He spoke as soon as the door opened.

"The Elder Council demands the Dragonborn travel to Skyrim for further training with the Greybeards so she may fight and ultimately defeat the dragons once and for all." The guard said, not once faltering his speech. Larissa breathed heavily and walked up to the guard.

"There must be some mistake. My first born daughter Venessie is the real Dragonborn. Vestele must be using some sort of witchcraft or something." She said in a panic. The guard stepped back and bowed.

"The Elder Council and the Greybeards knew of Vestele Loceath's gift ever since she was born. There is no mistake, please come to the guardhouse with Vestele when you are ready for her to embark." The guard said before leaving. Eryden shut the door and spoke quietly to his wife and daughter.

"We must not let her go. If we do, it will have been as if we accepted this lie." He stated, looking at them as to influence them.

"What do you propose we do?" Venessie asked. Eryden brought his daughter and wife into the kitchen, whispering ways in which they can get rid of Vestele.

When Vestele got upstairs to her room, she again put a chair against her door so that no one could enter behind her. She breathed calmly as she removed her boots and got into bed. She closed her eyes and allowed her body to relax as she fell asleep. She knew the Greybeards were waiting for her in her dreams and she had no time to waste, for they had much to discuss.

Once she was completely asleep, she opened her eyes to see herself in front of High Hrothgar, the home of the Greybeards. She walked inside and seated herself in a sitting position next to Arngeir, one of the Greybeards she was most familiar with. The Greybeards were meditating, and when Vestele joined, they concluded their session and turned their focus to her.

"Vestele, you have handled your first encounter quite well. However, your family is conspiring against you and are planning to kill you. What will you do? You must come and train with us in person so that we may ready you for battle." Arngeir stated, his voice not concerned nor frightened. Vestele opened her eyes and nodded.

"I expected as much. They are obnoxious and will stop at nothing to see Venessie rise to power. I will leave for Skyrim before they get the chance." Vestele said firmly. Arngeir nodded and stood up to dismiss her.

"Dragonborn, you are wise and powerful. Do not forget that because of that, you are feared, and know that your family will stop at nothing to get rid of you." He said, his words powerful and influential on Vestele. Vestele moved towards the door, but turned back towards the Greybeards. She bowed deeply and turned, allowing herself to move from her dreams to reality.

Vestele opened her eyes to hear muffled voices outside her door.

"It won't budge, she must have something against it." Larissa said.

"Let me try." Eryden said quietly. Larissa grabbed his arm before he could barge into the room.

"Do not wake her, we do not know what she will do if she knows what we are doing." Larissa said. Eryden nodded and used his shoulder to try to budge the door. Vestele stood up and put on her boots. Vestele didn't calculate her time right, for as she opened the window to escape, her father's force pushed the door in and made them fall on the floor. Vestele quickly leaned against her windowsill as if she was expecting them, her arms crossed and her eyes expressionless.

"As strong as you believe you are father, it took you quite some time to get through the door." She said, a hint of mockery in her words. Eryden stood up in a panic, not expecting her to be awake.

"Vestele! We just came to um...check in on you!" He said, his eyes darting every which way except her gaze. Vestele glanced over to her sister and mother who were just as shocked as her. Venessie was the first to speak between the two.

"I-it's the truth!" Venessie said quickly. Vestele scoffed and bit her lip as she felt anger rise within her.

"You...are among some of the most vile human beings I have ever came into contact with. Again and again, you lie to my face with no preparation for the consequences. I am not as stupid as you are. Whatever means you came up with to kill me, know that it will not work. I will always win against you, so do not try your petty attempts at murder on me." Vestele said, her voice beaming with the true power of the Dragonborn. Eryden became so angry with her words that he rushed at her, his fists up and his body at full force. Vestele, whom was standing in front of the open window, moved in time for him to miss her. However, she did not anticipate that he would not stop, or that his body would fall from the window to his death.
