I opened my eyes to a luxurious hospital room. I couldn't feel my back anymore, I was in such pain that I couldn't even concentrate.

"You're awake." Said Elvira.

I'm a hundred percent sure that she was the one who made this accident happen. What is she? Humanity is abolished in this women's life.

"I wish I wasn't" I replied.

"Why not Lyn? Life is beautiful, just look at this view isn't it breath-taking?" she said as she stared at the window.

"Life is more than a view and a luxurious hospital room."

"Actually, this room is the most expensive room in the hospital."

"Money...money...money, that's all you could think of. How sad."

"Listen to me Lyn, my time is precious, but yet I'm still wasting it on you. What happened to you today was a small demonstration for what my consequences to people who don't follow my instructions look like. So just a small advice from me, be careful next time."

"Oh, you're such a," I said.

"I said be careful." She interrupted.

"Why me Elvira? Why me?"

"Because you are the future."

"Stop using those brainwashing phrases."

"I'm using futuristic facts."

"How could you know the facts of the future before being there?"

"Because I create the future."

"No, you don't."

"I'll see you in two days in the lab, Lyn."

She didn't wait for my reply, she just walked away and closed the door. I can't believe that there are people who think in such a way. What should I do now? I can't destroy where I came from, but I also can't destroy my own life. This is hard on me, I just can't think of a way out. It's like I'm placed in this box and I'm forced to kill a human to live, and if I don't I'll be killed. What logic is that? I wanted to distract myself from this mess so I started changing channels on the television that was right in front of me, but what I didn't realize is that I was changing the channels of my memory. I decided to take a trip down memory lane and remember how my life was in peace before I came here.

I closed my eyes and saw everything in front of me. They were all there. My mother, my young sister, my dad. We were sitting in the living room watching a movie on our old television. My mom was in the kitchen baking a cake, the smell took all of my senses away. I could taste the strawberry that was stuffed in the middle of the cake. I could see the fight that we had with the cream of the cake, we started throwing the cream and the cake all around the living room while laughing out loud. We left the movie playing and we started fighting. Although we lived a poor life, we were happy.

I could see that day when my younger sister, Anna, and I went to the store for her birthday, and I told her to get whatever she wanted. Although, I didn't have that much money on me, I wanted her to forget about our poor life and live in the moment. I wanted her to be happy, and if she got something expensive that wouldn't be a problem, I would work extra and get the money. I still remember that day as if it was today.

"Get whatever you want," I said.

"Like anything I want?" She replied by asking.

"Yes, anything you want."

"I want ice cream."

"But I meant anything from this store."

"Those toys are for dumb people, we pay money on them, and they would still break."

"But it can entertain you for a while."

"Yeah, but I'll get bored from it quickly."

"So, you just want ice cream?"

"Yup."

"Does this have to do with money Anna?"

"No, it's just not worth it."

"Because if it's about the money, I have enough of it."

"No Lyn, it's not about the money."

"Alright then, let's go get you the ice cream you wanted."

I hugged her, held her hand, and took her to an ice cream store nearby and bought her the cotton candy ice cream that she liked. I knew that she wanted to buy something from that store, but she didn't want me to suffer paying for it. I saw her sweet smile, and I knew that she was thinking about the money issue. I wish she was with me now, I would buy her the whole damn store.

I opened my eyes looking at myself now. I'm in Trinel, the city of dreams, but here I am living my worst nightmare. I looked around me, I'm all alone. No one was there for me. I heard a knocking on the door. I wished that it wouldn't be that psycho again, but luckily it wasn't her. It was April and Ms Elis. I can't believe they came to visit me.

"Lyn, are you okay?" Said April as I saw the worried look on her face.

"Yes, I am, don't worry about me," I replied.

"How did this happen, dear?" Ms Elis asked.

"It was an accident, nothing serious don't worry," I replied.

"An accident?" Asked April suspiciously.

I made eye contact with her. My eyes told her to stop asking, and that I will tell her later. I didn't want to involve Ms Elis too.

"Yes, an accident," I replied.

"When will they let you leave?" April asked.

"I don't know actually. Ms Elis, if you don't mind and can you bring me water from the cafeteria, and ask the doctor about when I can leave?" I asked.

"Yes, sure." She replied.

She went to the cafeteria, and it was only me and April in the room. That's what I intended to do in the first place.

"What happened at Dyrlisia Lyn?" she asked.

"I'll tell you everything, but before I do I need you to do me something," I said.
