"Will you give us that device or we need to use a different way to get it?" One of them asked.

"Who are they?" I asked her.

"Those are the people I told you about." She said nervously.

"We don't have much time to waste on you, give us the device." He said as he looked at her fiercely.

"What do you want from that device? Just leave her alone." I said as I looked him in the eye.

"You better stay out of it, or..." He said.

"Or what? What will you do?" I interrupted.

"Or you'll be dead." He answered.

"Oh really? Show me how would you do that?" I asked bravely.

"Lyn, you don't want to mess with those guys." She said.

"Listen to your girl, Lyn." He replied back.

"You sure about that?" I asked her.

"Lyn, don't irritate them." She answered.

"Give us the device or we will take it by force." He said.

"I'll show you what force means," I said.

I stood up, walked up to him, looked deep into his eyes, then punched him in the face. He wanted to punch me back, but I didn't leave him a chance I kicked him in the stomach. He was surprised by my actions, he didn't expect this. The other two men walked towards me to attack me. I ran as quick as I could, grabbed her hand and we ran together. We went back to the woods, they were following us.

"Lyn, that was impressive. How did you manage to kick his ass?" She asked as we ran.

"Branklin taught me a lot," I answered.

"They're behind us."

"Yeah, we need to move quickly."

"Let's go to the right."

We went deep into the woods, we ran like jaguars. We pushed the trees as we ran. It was hard to keep running without locating their positions. I decided to hide under the tree, and then face them and just get rid of them.

"Let's hide behind this tree," I suggested.

"That's a very bad idea, Lyn." She answered rejecting my suggestion.

"Trust me, I'm used to those kinds of fights."

"Those people can kill us and throw us into the woods, and no one would even know where we are."

"They're only three men. I can take them down if you help me."

"How would I help you?"

I told her the plan, and she didn't seem convinced. We had to decide instantly, I can hear their footsteps. We hid behind the tree and waited for them to arrive at their trap. It didn't take them long to follow us. They have arrived, they walked slower than they should be as they noticed our footsteps.

"They must be hiding somewhere here." One of them said.

Our eyes followed in their footsteps as they walked, the sweat was dripping from my forehead all the way to my cheeks. My heart was beating so fast that I couldn't breathe. Will the plan work? Or will it fail? It's time for us to move.

"Hey, I'll give you guys the device." She said as she stood in front of them.

I had to move before everything fails, I stood behind one of them.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked her.

They all stared at me weirdly as I walked towards them. They were surprised by what we did, they didn't expect us to surrender.

"Take the device from her." One of them said.

"Not before you all place your guns on the floor." She said.

"Is there a problem if we held our guns Ms April?" He asked.

"Yes, there is. If you want to take the device, then I have to make sure that you guys don't have any weapons on you." She answered fiercely.

"Oh, so that's how it's going to be?" He asked.

"Yup!" She answered.

"Throw your weapons on the ground." He ordered.

"But sir.." One of them answered.

"You heard me, throw all your weapons on the ground." He replied.

They threw their guns on the floor. It was surprising to me to see three stupid men throwing their guns on the floor when they could've just taken the device from her forcefully. I walked slowly towards the guns, so I can get my hands on them.

"Give us the device." He told her.

"I'll give you the device. Just tell me, who sent you?" She asked.

"That's private information that I can't share with you." He answered her.

I kept walking as she distracted them with the useless conversation. Whatever she's doing, it's working, but I just hope that they don't catch me.

"Give us the device Ms April." He said.

"Come take it." She replied.

They were walking towards her, her eyes met mine. She was nervous, and it was obvious. I continued walking as they walked towards her. It was a short distance between the guns and I. There was an immense rock that made me trip on the mud. Shit. It wasn't good at all, they noticed me.

"Get him." One of them ordered as the other walked towards her.

"Leave him." She said.

He got to her before I did. The plan wasn't working at all, we might get killed. Maybe this was a bad idea after all. He stood in front of her and waited for her to give him the device. The other two men walked towards me. They got me too, they held me from both sides.

"Where is it?" He asked her.

"Where is what?" She asked him back.

"Don't play dumb on me, where is the device?" He asked her once again.

"I don't have it." She answered.

"Alright, I guess I have to use a different way to get it then." He said.

He pushed her on the floor and started looking for the device. She slapped him on the face and ran towards me, but he caught her back.

"Where is the device?" He asked her as he held her arms tightly.

"Alright, alright." She said as she pulled the small rectangular device out of her pocket.

She handed him the device. The plan failed. They got what they wanted, and now they may even kill us.
